"GREAT CHINA?" MORE LIKE DECENT-TO-OK CHINA. This was a bizarre, mostly disappointing experience. But I honestly think most of the blame lies on UberEats, the WORST delivery service I've ever used. So my score only reflects the food quality and nothing else. Because other than the slightly above average food quality, this was a god awful encounter. This is going to be a double review in a sense. One for Great China, and one for UberEats. Great China itself? Probably a great restaurant. They bang out their food. It's standard fare Chinese. You have all your staples - lo meins, mei funs, General Tsos, and Moo Goo Gai Pans. How would you know, though. They don't have a dedicated website. Not even a Facebook page that they could set up for free and simply post pictures of their menu online. Literally the ONLY reason I found this place was because of delivery services like UberEats. And that's an issue. Why is it an issue? Because of UberEats' proclivity to list restaurants on their platform without the restaurant's consent. So, why is this bad? Other than the whole consent thing, UberEats can pull super outdated menu prices via their "algorithm" and list them on their site. That means when an unsuspecting person is ordering food, the prices they see may be significantly lower than what the restaurant is actually charging. And here's why that's a problem. UberEats actually allows restaurants/drivers to ADD ON extra costs AFTER THE FACT. So you can place your order (including fees and tip), then get slammed with an additional, unsuspecting charge later on. The worst part is, this won't be brought to your attention until after the food is delivered. So that's my critique of UberEats. Sorry about that. As for Great China, they flat out messed up my order. Hot and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup? Wasn't even included. Beef with Scallion? They gave me some weird fried breaded mystery meat with broccoli. It definitely wasn't beef. Just really a forgettable experience overall. The only saving grace was the pork mei fun. And when the mei fun is the only thing worth coming back for, you're in trouble. read more

I have gone here for many years and it was very good. However, the last 2 times it appears there may have been a change in ownership. The last visit it the soup and shrimp where extremely hot. I have ordered both before and never had that. We then tried it one more time, and my wife could not even eat the meal it was not good. Sad. read more

I ordered a dish in which I did not know was spicy. There was no sign and the woman in which I ordered did not tell me it was spicy. My lips swelled up as it was extremely spicy and I do like spicy but this amount of spicy was unbearable. When I called them the owner who is the cook was like "that's how it's cooked and we did nothing wrong." They did nothing to rectify my meal do I had no choice to throw it away. The owner is very stingy and will refuse to refund you or offer a solution. Another time I ordered shrimp rice and the rice was hard and not cooked all the way and when I went back the cook the owner was looking hard at how many shrimp I had already eaten and I told them I didn't want more shrimp but I would be willing to pay if they added more to my rice as long as they cooked the rice. If the wife who is the one whom normally takes the orders over the phone if she hadn't said don't worry about it. The owner would still be counting how many shrimp I ate. Due to the cook/owners being incredibly insensitive and inconsiderate. I will Never give them my money. I will make sure my family and friends never go there. There are plenty of Chinese Restaurants that offer better hospitality. They should have signs that say there food is spicy or rectify the problem without making the customer feel they should have known and be rude. Never again! Don't eat here! They also don't wipe off the tables after customers eat! read more

I've never had anything bad from here and they always get my order correct. Try their Singapore noodles. The kung pao chicken is better if you ask them to increase the spiciness which they will happily do. The dining room is sparse and rarely do I ever see anyone dining in. In the winter the dining room is barely a few degrees above the outside temperature. A single ceiling fan (with its "someone stole me from an 80's mobile home" styling) slowly cranks away above, increasing the cool temp. This is definitely a take-out place instead of eat-in, especially in winter. read more

Prices are fair, helpings are a good size, staff is friendly and the place is clean. Being new to the area I will be there often. I have just moved to Sinking Spring and had a coupon for this restaurant. Wow, I was in luck! The staff here is so friendly and helpful. They will make your food any way you desire (sauce or oil on the side, extra spicy, steamed veggies, etc. just ask!). You can actually see them cooking everything and the speed and temperatures are very satisfying and the prices can't be beat. I love chinese takeout. Based off the ratings this place received, I was thinking it would be good and close to home. I was sadly wrong. I ordered Cashew Chicken and Vegetable fried rice, with an order of Crab Rangoon (this is what I order every time wherever I go.) The first sign what the Crab Rangoon. It was not crispy and delicious like all the other places I have gone. The chicken was okay, nothing special. The sauce was rather vinegary and not very good. The rice was very dry, not much to it. The worst part in all of this was that I found a hair in my cashew chicken. I am blonde. This hair was black, so I know it was not mine. I am thoroughly disappointed in this restaurant. I don't know if PA just has bad chinese food, or it was just this place. I will not be returning. read more

This place is a great little hole in the wall place, all the food is delicious and the prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants. Their biggest draw back though is that they don't deliver, but it is pretty centrally located so that makes up for it. They are one of the few places that serve Bourbon Chicken, and that alone is a great reason to go there! read more

Average. Nothing special you'd go out of your way for, but nothing horrible. Stay away from the beef and broccoli. They use the teriyaki beef from the sticks in the dish which gives it a really weird flavor mixed with the brown sauce. The wonton soup and egg rolls are pretty good. read more
