I went here on a Friday at the very opening to participate in a collab event with Zenless Zone Zero (I had never been here before and was really going for the ZZZ merch.) I enjoy ramen very much and eat it quite often, this was definitely high up on the list. I got there very early before they opened (expecting a bit of a line from the ZZZ colab) but only two other people were "waiting" for them to open at 11am. I had never been to a collab event before and was going off my friend's experience who admittedly live in much more populous cities (LA, NY.) They opened ten minuets early, so I went in and was greeted promptly and warmly by a young man. The other two people shortly followed and got their seat (they also came for the limited colab event.) I asked some questions about how the collab goes down as it was my first time at one and my first time at Kyuramen. With questions answered I was offered a seat, I choose the bar area as I was solo and didn't want to take up more space than needed. Shortly after got myself seated I was given the menu, the collab information and a water in an interesting soda can style translucent plastic cup with the Kyuramen branding. The menu size is perfect, enough to have plenty of choices but small enough to not be distracted. I had the pork tonkatsu curry, the pan-fried gyoza dumplings, the Spicy Chili Chicken Ramen (this was a limited event entree for the colab) which came with a Sparkling Lemonade, A brown sugar boba milk tea and for desert a Cherry Blossom Jelly. Pricing is typical of what you see at a modern ramen place, possibly a bit cheaper $15 apps $20 entrees $5 desserts and 100% worth every penny! My appetizer was delivered fairly quickly and by this point more people were coming in, and by the time I had my entree about half the dining room was full and a few of the honeycomb booths. This was just before noon. Not sure if that is typical of this place or if the colab event brought some more people in. Just thought it was worth mentioning, service remained consistently prompt. First of all you can tell the food was absolutely fresh! The Gyoza was hand made and absolutely delicious! The ramen broth was rich and somehow just soft enough even with the spicy chili to be able to slurp up, all the toppings were fantastic, the chicken was popcorn style and remained super crispy despite being in broth, noodles were great and honestly it looked exactly like the image on the collab advert. The pork tonkatsu was so perfectly breaded and had an very nice crunch with amazing flavor, the curry was a traditional blend of spices and paired with the pork very well, even the rice was great! I was really impressed with the dessert, the Cherry Blossom Jelly. A perfectly round translucent orb with an actually cherry blossom inside, resting on a bed of white pearl jellies. It also came with a simple syrup of some kind (I had never had anything like this so I just poured some on the whole desert.) The texture was firm and moist with a subtle sweetness accompanied by a fragrant floral component that really dazzled the senses. Very Impressed! The staff was very kind and full of smiles, you can tell they all work together very well and genuinely care about their product and their customers. Very quick to clean up tables and make everything perfect. For the next guest. The utensils were very well made, chopsticks felt good in the hand, bowl is a custom made (porcelain/clay?) with small bubbles to show an "artisanal" type of vibe, very sturdy. The bamboo plates that the desert and the gyoza was placed on had scorched in branding that really just gave everything a professional and quality feel. The dining area itself has a large area with several 4 top tables, a four person hi-top table, a four/five person "private" table that had some kind of twisting branch (cage is not the word I would use, more like a privacy lattice?) surrounding it. It looked super cool! They also had the honeycomb booths as you see in a few other more modern ramen joints. Lastly where I had sat was at the noodle bar, where you can see right behind and watch them cook and set up the ramen for the customers, super cool vibe! The entire establishment was incredibly clean, not one particle of dust to be found, floor had no scuffs, you can tell they take pride in the appearance of the space and the dedication from the employees really shows. Bathroom is really cool looking with a powered light mirror, and a on counter bowl style sink, very unique half-pipe faucet. It just looked cool honestly so I figured I would mention it. Very clean as well, congruent with the rest of the establishment. Over the course of the meal I was given my event merch and my waiter was very accommodating. Once finished he brought out my take out items and offered me a bag for my merch. The take out items where well seated, organized nicely and came in a very sturdy bag. Would HIGHLY recommend this place for solo or with friends! read more

I've been to a few other Kyuramen places in the Pittsburgh region, but I was really impressed with the service at this establishment. The staff were friendly and checked on me frequently even though it was a busy night with lots of table to attend to. I got a Sapporo ramen and crispy spicy chicken wings for an appetizer. All-in-all a great experience and the consistency across the different locations is impressive. Would love to come back next time I'm in town. read more

I was in town for one day for work and this made for such a good dinner. The decor and theme was so cute (i'm a SUCKER for bees / honeycomb themed things), the service was fast and efficient and the flavor on every item was wonderful. I've since eaten from other locations in the country, but this was my first kyuramen experience. Parking was abundant read more

Not only is this my first time eating at Kyuramen, it's my first time having Ramen that didn't come in a pack. It did not disappoint. Tons of flavor. Make sure to note the spice level before ordering, something I forgot to do. The mild was even a little strong for my liking, but still very good. The skewers were also one of our favorites, especially the chicken and beef. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful with all of our questions about the menu. Will be back again soon. read more

Stopped in Friday after an evening of shopping at Park City. I was craving something warm since it was cold and rainy and remembered my sister mentioned this ramen bar had just opened. It's tucked away in the Weis market shopping plaza so its a bit tricky to find but what a gem! Plenty of parking in the plaza and the front of the store had ultra man and ramen images all over it. There was a little confusion on seating as no one was at the host stand so I signed in on the ipad and took a look at the menu. A few minutes later a woman came over asking if I was dining in and she sat me at the bar. That was a real treat as I could see the chef's scooping and adding toppings to the ramen. I ordered the amazing lemonade, just the right balance of sweet and sour along with takoyaki and the white garlic tonkatsu ramen. Both dishes were flavorful and hot. The only problem was there were so many other flavors I wanted to try that I'm going to have to come back! Interior is bright and clean with unique wood working all around. There's a large dining area, bar area and 4-6 smaller private dining spaces off to the left for private parties I assume. Looking forward to going back soon and trying their skewers and omurice dishes! read more

Hope to dine in someday. lots of parking space btw read more

I am a vegetarian. I have to say the vegetable ramen is the best vegetarian ramen I had in life. No matter the size, combination, or taste is the best. The fried tofu skewer is also very good. The tofu skin is crispy and the source goes into the tofu. Highly recommended! read more

Really impressed with Kyuramen x Tbaar in Lancaster! The ramen was delicious. I usually find ramen broths too salty, but theirs was perfectly balanced, savory, and full of flavor. Mine was the spicy version, which had just the right amount of heat, noticeable but not overwhelming. My drink was super refreshing with real grapefruit and aloe pieces, and the popcorn chicken was pretty good too. The server checked in on us often to make sure we had everything we needed, and the interior was really cute and cozy. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

Really interesting experience coming here and trying some of the foods out. I'd like to come back and try some other items on the menu but it wasn't bad. We really wanted to try to omurice dish since we always saw it on social media and while it was not bad, it was very filling/a lot to eat. Eggs are a little hard to "take home" as leftovers so I suggest you only order that if you love eggs and can eat a lot of it! My favorite part of this restaurant is the atmosphere. It's well lit, clean and gives a modern Japanese vibe. read more

This place was pretty good. The atmosphere was very quiet. I came in an hour after opening, so it wasn't very busy. Food was fast and fresh. My ramen felt a little bland, but it was still good for such a chilly start to the day. The wings were crispy and hot. I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu, and normally it's darker in color, but this one was not. My husband agreed there was something missing with this one. Compared to the one we go to in VA, the flavor is somewhat off here. read more

Tried Kyuramen today for the first time since their recent Lancaster location opening in a small shopping center with ample parking. The interior of the restaurant is a spectacle of it's own with the decor. Upon entry we were quickly seated at a table In the center of the dining room. At each table there is a branded napkin holder and tray of spicy condiments including sichimi togarashi, cayenne powder, and sauerkraut pepper. I had never heard of sauerkraut pepper so I had to try it and it is fantastic. Spicy, tangy, garlicky. We placed our orders. My friend had his young son with him and staff were able to accommodate the request for just broth and noodles for the boy. Friend ordered the spicy tonkotsu and chili dumplings while I ordered the tonkatsu curry ramen. At one point, my friend's son needed to use the restroom and upon his return he wanted to switch tables to one of the private booths. Our server was friendly and efficient and accommodated for the request to move. These booths are incredible. They are decorated with Japanese motif and feel private. Definitely would be great for a date. Our foods came out and everything was delicious. Although, menu items were a little pricey I do plan on returning to try more items on the menu and hopefully experience more of their exclusive seating. A feature of the dining experience that I thought was unique and fun was the possibility of winning free food each time you consume a bowl of ramen. If you find that your bowl is marked at the bottom after you've consumed your dish indicating you won then you can use it during your next dining experience. Pro tip: Kyuramen has an app that you can scan during each visit to earn point for cash back rewards read more

The food was amazing overall! The ramen was delicious, but the chicken in it was very burnt and difficult to enjoy. Other than that, everything we ordered was great. The drinks were excellent, and you could really taste the fresh, real fruit in the smoothie. The service was okay, but the wait was quite long. The food quality was strong overall, though the burnt chicken was disappointing. read more

Aww man - this Yelper was not happy. It's Mother's Day weekend and out of all the possibilities in Lancaster, I chose you - Kyuramen. I relished my visit and arrived early, in an attempt to beat out the possible Mother's Day crowd. I'm sure there must have been more than one waitress, but I believe I only saw one, ours - ever so apologetic, running around (to the tables, to the register, to the kitchen). Waited 30 minutes for our beverages, mine and my son's meal (nearly done), still waiting on my husband's meal, another 30 or so minutes later. Soup arrived lukewarm. I was so unhappy, I could barely eat my lukewarm ramen. Something wonky was going on with credit card machine. It would work, then not and then work, then not. We sat at our table an additional 30 to 40 minutes longer, waiting to pay. Finally, we dug into our wallets and was able to come up with enough cash to pay our bill and tip our waitress. Here's an idea for management, if something like this should happen again - personally go to each table, extend a heartfelt apology and comp a special something extra. This has happened before and that's what management had done and we left that restaurant feeling as though management cared and understood. read more

Awesome place to stop for lunch/dinner. The inside was decorated amazingly. I loved our seat being almost like a matcha whisk. The boba tea was very yummy and came out quickly. The server was very nice but alittle pushy. We wanted one ramen bowl to share but she insisted we have two. It was definitely way too much soup for both of us to finish. Other than that everything was very yummy read more

Food is highly flavorful and impressively delicious! We ordered three ramen bowls, spring rolls, edamame, and matcha pudding. Hands down the best Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. When you walk in it's as if you walked into a portal straight to Japan with the furniture, the lighting the artwork on the walls the architecture of the booths down to the bar being straight in the middle how their back rooms are set for families with privacy. I felt like I was meeting my coworkers after work for beers in Japan. The staff was extremely attentive, courteous, and very engaging the performance. The presentation for the food is outstanding. When it comes to the food itself, it will put you in an -itis. I ended up in the food, for days after I ate here it was that good. I had the octopus balls, the Katsu over omurice and the jelly cake which even had a small blossom flower inserted in it the glaze that goes over it was floral tasting, but not overpowering as if it was some Rose water drink It was just right with taste, notes and sweetness. You really have to have an open mind because if you're too closed off, you may not enjoy it so enhance your taste palette first before trying this. My Boba tea was decadent everyone always talks about how great tiger sugar is (which they're not terrible. They're just OK in my opinion compared to this place) but absolutely not when it comes to this place. I also had the Japanese french fries which is another thing-you have to have an open mind for because it's not your standard American loaded fries, different flavor and toppings that work extraordinarily well. This place is about an hour and 30 minutes away from me however it's worth the drive! read more

COULD NOT BE BETTER! Amazing food! I came with my mom for lunch and we started off with the Japanese French Fries and Pan Fried Vegetable Dumplings for an appetizer. The fries were an AMAZING mix of sweet and savory and the dumplings were DELICIOUS. I got the Korean Kimchi Ramen, PERFECT amount of spice and is easy on the stomach. VERY LARGE portion and amazing flavor. We ended up taking the leftover ramen home and getting dessert. I got the Matcha Tiramisu and my mom got the Cherry Blossom Jelly. a bowl of ramen taught me about how food travels I stopped by Kyuramen x TBaar in downtown Lancaster this week, thinking I was just getting a warm bowl of ramen--but I actually learned a lot about how Japanese cooking traditions travel and adapt. When the ramen came out, the first thing I noticed was the broth: thick and creamy, the kind you only get when pork bones are boiled for hours until they release collagen. I learned this long-simmering technique comes from Kyushu, where tonkotsu ramen was first created. But then I saw the corn, which surprised me--it's more of a Hokkaido ramen ingredient. It made me realize that ramen here isn't following one strict regional style, but instead mixing techniques from different parts of Japan to fit a new cultural space like Lancaster. The toppings also taught me something. The marinated egg--ajitama--gets its flavor from a soy sauce and mirin bath, which is how Japanese cooks build layers of umami. The chashu is slow-braised, a technique Japan originally adapted from Chinese cuisine but made its own over the years. Even the seaweed sheet has a story; it connects ramen shops to Japan's coastal food traditions. Then came dessert: a bowl of matcha pudding topped with sweet red beans.Red beans (anko), too, are tied to Japanese wagashi sweets, where the focus is on textures and gentle sweetness. Eating it here in Lancaster made me think about how restaurants use a small dessert to introduce diners to a whole set of cultural symbols. read more
