I have been working my way through their menu and have not been disappointed yet. And their kimchi is spectacular.

The ones we had in Hawaii had a spicy kick at the end. These were comparably good. One flavor all around. No spicy after kick. The Kalua Pork and Cabbage was spicier than what we had at Hawaii. It actually tasted better. They added ginger and it was spicy. I liked the Taiwanese cabbage better than what we had in Hawaii, which was regular cabbage. The ribeye steak ramen was good as well. It makes me want to try the rib eye entree. I like the black pepper flavor. I took the steak out as soon as it served, so it would not cook anymore in the broth. I was impressed that they made it medium rare. The chicken broth was not too salty, which it can be in other places, so I was pleased that it wasn't. The menma bamboo was crunchy. Many places have it too soft. The black seaweed/wood ear like topping was also crunchy. The wavy ramen noodles were perfectly QQ or all dente. There were two doors to open at the entrance. Handicap accessible. No steps. Two gender neutral restrooms. Spacious. Handicap accessible. We found street parking right out front. We came at 7 PM on a Monday after the dinner rush. Our server was very attentive. He also answered all my questions. I asked it they were Pulehu Ribs. When he did not know, he went to ask his colleague. I would come back for the same dishes, get a bigger order of the short ribs, and try the garlic shrimp. Definitely a new staple for us. Before going to Hawaii, we never had Hawaiian food before. This was a good way to revisit our vacation!

Solid spot for the area. I wish they had more Hawaiian food options since that's more unique. I got…read morethe BBQ chicken, the were out of the kalula pork. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, not too dry. I wish there was more veggies but the mac salad was decent. My mom got the Hawaiian shrimp platter; shrimp were cooked well and pretty big in size. I was a bit skeptical about going here after reading reviews about how the establishment broke health violation codes... eat at your own discretion. I would return to try the ramen.

I've been a Kumanmon regular since day one--mainly because my lunch breaks are more "speed run"…read morethan "leisurely stroll," and this spot totally gets it. Quick, efficient, and satisfying? Yes, please. With a name like Kumanmon, I came in expecting something fun and adorable--and they absolutely delivered. It's got that cute, cheerful vibe that makes you smile before the food even hits the table. Service here is refreshingly straightforward: you get a little checklist menu, tick off your cravings like you're building your dream ramen lineup, and hand it back. It's basically grown-up ordering with a hint of school lunch nostalgia. Not super common, but honestly, kind of fun once you're in the rhythm. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the ramen. I've had my fair share, and Kumanmon holds its own. The broth is rich, flavorful, and just the right consistency--basically a warm hug in a bowl. They're also generous with toppings (bless them), and the prices won't make your wallet cry. Big win. That said, the rest of the menu didn't quite reach ramen-level greatness. The robatayaki felt a bit like they all went to the same flavor school, and the buns didn't quite have that homemade magic I was hoping for. 1 star off. Still, I'll happily keep coming back--for the fantastic ramen, speedy service, and the fact that it turns my rushed lunches into something I actually look forward to.
