First time eating real ramen, ie- not Nissan...I ordered the Steak Ramen, and my guest ordered the Seafood Ramen. We shared an order of Agedashi Tofu (yes, my very first tofu)...I had a Bubble Tea (easy on the tapioca balls, and she had a Mango Green Tea. We both enjoyed the ramen bowls. I especially enjoyed the broth and the soft boiled egg. The steak was okay as were the other ingredients. She enjoyed hers as well but wished the noodles weren't as prominent, despite me explaining that the noodles ARE what ramen is. The tofu was interesting with a texture similar to flan or egg custard and the sauce suggested caramel. She enjoyed her green tea, I did not enjoy my bubble tea. This is a very charming ramen spot, especially if you love Naruto and One Piece. The creative manga decor makes the venue a novelty, but the ramen is only so-so. If you're craving Japanese ramen in a pinch though, this may satisfy your itch for noodles. Here are my honest thoughts about the food. My tonkotsu ramen was not anything to write home about. The soup was very salty and watery, and did not taste like it was stewed long enough to create that signature umami pork flavor. The noodle texture was not very chewy either as it was a little overcooked. My friend's seafood ramen also evoked the same reaction. Finally, the toppings were very scarce for $15, but I understand that with the current inflation, ingredients are very expensive. Overall, the saving grace was the brown sugar bubble tea. I do like that this restaurant is adding variety to the local area where it's traditionally been difficult finding other varieties of Asian cuisines that aren't take-out or sushi. However, I don't think I'll be back again for the ramen (maybe just for the bubble tea). But I do hope other people will give this place a try. We all have different tastes after all, so you may find something in the menu that you personally enjoy. read more

Went here while in town for a wedding. I'd give the taste of the food 5 stars. The service, however, was a zero. Waited AN HOUR for a quail egg skewer. One skewer took one hour. On top of that, I left my credit card there after the long wait and terrible service, and they had my credit card. I called them to pick it up, and they said they'd look and never returned my call. Very flavorful. -Vegetable Ramen - The vegetables are surprisingly yummy especially the bamboo shoots, normally they are bland but it was not in this case. -Chicken Katsu Ramen - Both Ramen dishes has great noodles, broth and toppings. The Chicken is cooked nicely and the noodles has the consistency of hand-drawn noodles, rather than packaged noodles (In some Ramen restaurants) where it falls apart easily when trying to pick up using chopsticks. I was very excited to have a boba place open locally. After having my order prepared incorrectly two visits in a row, I won't be going back. I ordered a tea without milk. The first time they corrected it. The second time, after I made sure to mention "no milk", they did it again. This time when I tried to return it for correction I was told there was no milk in it. The milk makes a noticeable difference in the color and flavor. There is definitely milk in this, which means I can't drink it. I got takeout from here when I was in the area and got the chicken katsu ramen, the gyoza, and the karaage. It was a good amount of food and was plenty for my dinner and lunch the next day. Everything was just kinda "blah." Karaage was dry, gyoza was standard, and the ramen lacked a lot of flavor. The veggies and narutomaki were my favorite part of the ramen. The broth was missing that rich, umami flavor, and the chicken katsu was dull and the breading all flaked off. It was nice that the broth for the ramen was packaged separately. We also ordered fried tofu, tofu was good but the dressing was way too sweet, I would suggest if they can change the sauce to Ponzu. Stopped in one week night after my husband had raving reviews of this restaurant. I was impressed by the decor, (really cool anime on the walls), service and the speed at which the food came out. The food itself, not really! Not bad, but not amazing. I got the Miso ramen as recommended, which was bland. My broth didn't have too much flavor, and my pork was over cooked and rubbery. I ended up giving it to my husband to bring home. I had a taste of my husband's Katsu Chicken Ramen and that one was much more flavorful. That was probably the best thing I had, it was a solid crispy, cutlet with just the right amount of salt. The pork buns weren't bad, but not memorable. Our sticky rice was overly drenched in sauce and was a little too saturated for me. It looked almost like a giant squirt in a rush to get it out and all the pieces were wet instead of a nice drizzle. I ended up ordering a rice dish in place of my dinner fail, and it was just okay. We were curious to try this place after many people suggested to. When you walk in you are fully immersed in the experience with anime all over the walls, Naruto where we sat. The staff sits you and gives you a paper menu and pen for you to fill out. They have everything listed and you need to fill out in the box the quantity. They also have boba on there with all the toppings for you to choose. They take that and work on the food and drinks. We ordered pork buns and two different ramens, Tonkotsu and Steak. We each had a regular milk tea with boba. The pork buns were good. The bun was very soft, the pork was cooked nicely. The sauce could have been out on top so you could taste it throughout. They spread it on the bun itself so at certain bites towards the bottom it was all sauce. The ramen looked good and had everything you would expect. The broth was tasty, not as much as depth in flavor as I would have preferred however. The pork didn't break apart in the soup, seemed a bit chewy. The steak was medium rare, falling apart and seasoned nicely. The boba was soft and for a powder tea good overall. It's a nice place to try for the ambiance and good option overall for a local ramen place in Exton. We've had food from here before as takeout and it's fine as well. Wow what an amazing experience! Overall great food. The restaurant is BYOB so feel free to bring your favorite alcoholic beverages but they also have various teas to try. The ordering process is unique in that you select your meals on paper and the servers take your order to the kitchen. My only complaint is that we were taking a bit to figure out our dinners and so it would have been nice to be able to order some appetizers first vs everything together. Also we had to track someone down to get a new form to add food later on. The food was delicious though. We had the buns, the fries were amazing and fried rice. My daughter had the chicken nuggets which were really good. The ramen was so good as well. The only other issue was they rang up the full bill on one card when we had asked to split it. Decent food but not amazing. I suppose you have to consider the location. Maybe a 4/5 for Exton, but a 2.5/5 for the Philly suburbs. I've been getting food here 1-2 times per month since they opened because they're only a few minutes from my house. They're typically fast on take-out but I've had to wait 5-10 after the stated pickup time on occasion, though I've no idea why because on those days the dining room was fairly empty. That said, I just had a bad experience and won't be coming back for a while. Aside from just getting home and seeing my food is room temp at best (I got there 5 minutes early, the food was already sitting on the counter, and it's a 4 minute drive home), they charged me more than they should have. There's a coupon online for 10% off that says you need to order online but pay in store. When I got there the guy was insistent that it was only if you paid with cash. I told him I didn't have cash, only a card, and his online coupon didn't say I had to pay in cash, only pay in store. He said "fine" and took my card. After he gave me the receipt I noticed the amount he charged was without the discount. I told him I didn't agree to that amount. He refused to refund the difference. I'm tempted to dispute the extra $4.xx but honestly, it's not worth my time to go back and forth with my card issuer. Instead, I'll take my business elsewhere for a while. read more

My husband and I are in Exton, PA to attend my nephew's wedding. He is the first in our family whose getting married. We we're trying to find a resto close by our hotel. Found this ramen place and due to the cold season soup just fills and warms your body nicely. Because of the excellence reviews, why not try it. We were both pleasantly surprised. Glad we went there. We had heard such great things, but sadly that was not our experience. Service was terrible. We waited 10 minutes in the entry way before someone would make eye contact to seat us. They were swamped, but at least greet your guests and tell them there will be a wait. Once seated, We waited 30 minutes to order and over an hour for food to start arriving. It came out extremely sporadically once it did. Only one drink was delivered and when we asked for water for the table they brought only 2, despite there being 4 of us.
