Nasty vegetable fried rice going into the garbage can where it is right at home.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've been going to this restaurant for years. Last week my sister and I purchased vegetable fried rice and a vegetable dish. The food was excellent; cooked exactly as we requested with brown rice for the fried rice dish. We also requested brown rice as the accompaniment to the vegetable dish. Last night we came back and my sister ordered the same two items the same way (brown rice) This time the food was awful. The vegetables were burnt and the "fried rice" was like paste. It was gummy and pasty lacking any flavor, just disgusting! She paid $25.00 for nasty probably old reheated food. She called the store. Their manager called her back. He told her that he would credit her. We asked if we should bring the food back the next day. He said "no." When we arrived today the girl who made the fried rice dish gave us so much push back and flack arguing that the rice she made for us last week was white rice. I told her I only eat brown and I know the difference. She continued to argue even though she acknowledged that the manager had directed her to give my sister a credit. When she finally agreed to that I asked how the credit would be given (what form? Coupon, note etc?) The girl then walked away, came back and threw $10.25 into my hand and said "don't come back." As if I ever would give them another dime of my money. She actually became more rude when other people came into the restaurant. I mean really? They can't possibly think someone would be treated badly, given bad food and then told not to come back to the disheveled restaurant where boxes are piled a mile high in the dining area where patrons used to be able to sit and eat. How tacky! They should be grateful that anyone would entertain buying anything from there! And.....to add insult to injury, she dint even refund my sister properly. She charged extra for brown rice however, she failed to give my sister a full refund. News flash Happy Fortune, the only true thing about your name is that your food costs a fortune. $25.00 for nasty, disgusting vegetable fried rice and sautéed vegetables. SMH!‍ The picture below will show you the result of the nasty food my sister purchased.

General Tsos Chicken
Alex C.

Ordered General Tsos from DoorDash for 10.80. 1) Fried Rice: it's got decent Wok Hei. Pork pieces are fairly good sized and seasoned well. It's not the char siu that is all dried up and what not - tastes pretty legit. The combo comes automatically with pork fried rice. 2) General Tsos: some pieces were dried and stringy, but most were not. The sauce is on the spicier end than others, but the flavor is VERY PLEASANT. It does have a slight garlicky flavor which I liked a lot. 3) Broccoli: wait what??? Am I reviewing garnish? Yes. And their broccoli is fresh. No grey or spotted stems. No bitterness. I'm a fan. 4) Egg roll: not super greasy. I'm convinced they all order it frozen from the same place cuz it all tastes the same. Overall: I'm a fan. 4.4/5 - docked off for value. (A bit pricey for gtsos)

Happy Fortune Rangoon on right

I ordered the exact same items from King Garden and Happy Fortune to do a side by side comparison. Happy Fortune was about 10% less expensive for about $50 worth of food and included a free can of soda. Here were the items and how Happy Fortune ranked: Crab Rangoon- good, but not the winner and smaller portion Friend wonton- tougher breading and minimal meat filling Egg rolls- much smaller and less flavor Fried dumplings- meatier and thinner dough Pork fried rice- fluffier and moister Shrimp lo mein- smaller shrimp, more veggies, and shorter, thicker noodles that broke more easily Orange chicken- meatier, with less breading- but more broccoli and orange rind in container White rice- drier and the rice had a streak of grey in the grain Sweet and sour sauce- more water The extras- no silverware or extra sauces compared to the other place which generously provided. Bottom line: This is the place to go to for orange chicken, meaty fried dumplings (although smaller portion), fluffier (but not as flavorful) pork fried rice with more veggies like bean sprouts and no peas. Avoid this place for the little friend things, lo mein, shrimp dishes and plain white rice.

Roast Pork Egg Foo Young

This Chinese takeout is located in a small strip mall along the southbound side of Marsh Road. Although this strip mall is back to back with Branmar Plaza, it isn't connected to that larger shopping center, which is a bit inconvenient. I thought service was okay. The evening we placed our order, they had four people working in the kitchen, so it didn't take too long to prepare the food even though they were handling a few phone-in orders at the same time. The roast pork egg foo young and fried rice we ordered were about average but the kung po chicken was pretty good. Prices, however, seem a touch above average for the category.

Simply pretty good takeout food. Delaware is not known for it's Chinese food, but Happy Fortune is a safe bet.

I like the freshness! Not oily or greasy. Hubby had chicken with cashews and I had chicken with eggplant. Both good.We will go back.

It's my favorite Chinese takeout. Consistently good products. The Wonton soup is delicious.

Best Chinese in this area. China Dragon is better than typical strip mall shopping Chinese. It has…read morea few tables inside. Even so most people get it to go. The food is cheap and not bad for price. About as good as Chinese from a strip mall can possibly be. It has the menus with all the numbers for the items. They have the usual kind of stuff. Has a few vegetarian choices. The best of these is the Bean Curd With Mushroom. It's $7.50 for a good amount. This only comes in the quart size. Along with mushrooms, it also comes with lots of broccoli. The tofu is slightly crispy. I would consider ordering from here again. It's best to get carryout. There's only a few tables inside and it's kind of sticky.

Not good. Was tricked again by Yelp with all these good reviews (now that I'm looking at them they…read morewere all a couple of years ago). My husband went to pick up some Chinese for our lunch and he said they were super rude to him. He almost walked out but we are determined to find a to go Chinese place in Wilmington. This place is cash only and apparently the lady was particular about what he gave her (wanted more change then $10 bills). Anyway got the food and he brought it back home. Lunch special was kind of small. I got the roast pork and broccoli. There wasn't that much meat which was mostly broccoli which was disappointing. The fried rice was just okay and the broccoli tasted old. We opted to pay 75 cents more to swap our can of soda (comes with combo) to an egg roll. The egg roll was just a frozen egg roll fried in very old oil. I was starving so I doused it in sauce and ate it anyway. I also had a bit of an allergic reaction eating the egg roll so maybe I'm allergic to what's in it or the oil they fried it in. Who knows. Not returning to this place thats for sure. Maybe DE just doesn't have good Chinese food in general.

Comes with the egg roll which I did not partake cuz this boy is getting chunky. Chicken: 2.75/5. The chicken meat was kinda stringy. The sauce lacked boldness in flavor - it was neither sweet nor salty nor tangy. Breading was soggy. Rice: 2.5/5 undercooked and crunchy, unfortunately. Wok Hei was mediocre at best. Their char siu pieces lacked any specific flavor. The shrimp was surprisingly the redemption factor of it. Broccoli: Two pieces, fresh Overall: 2.75/5. Will pass

It was different in a few ways, most notably it wasn't that run of the mill pink, green and white thing. Theirs was colorful and fun, great way to get my attention. And I liked that they were doing hot wings. I'm definitely down to try those however today I went with traditional Chinese. I got the Hot Pepper Chicken under the BBQ Specials and an egg roll. When the nice man handed me the bag it was heavy. When I got it home I saw why. It was packed with chicken and rice. At 5.79 I thought that was pretty awesome. And it was good and hot. Left my mouth with that tingling Szechuan sensation I've become obsessed with. I'm holding on to a star until I try the wings which comes with TEN different sauces. They even have Jerk Chicken on the menu. I would definately be curious to see what an Asian spin on a Jamaican classic would be like. Stay tuned for that review in the meantime good job China Wok!
