The food here is good and cheap. This is where I usually get my Chinese takeout from.

Comes with the egg roll which I did not partake cuz this boy is getting chunky. Chicken: 2.75/5. The chicken meat was kinda stringy. The sauce lacked boldness in flavor - it was neither sweet nor salty nor tangy. Breading was soggy. Rice: 2.5/5 undercooked and crunchy, unfortunately. Wok Hei was mediocre at best. Their char siu pieces lacked any specific flavor. The shrimp was surprisingly the redemption factor of it. Broccoli: Two pieces, fresh Overall: 2.75/5. Will pass

It was different in a few ways, most notably it wasn't that run of the mill pink, green and white thing. Theirs was colorful and fun, great way to get my attention. And I liked that they were doing hot wings. I'm definitely down to try those however today I went with traditional Chinese. I got the Hot Pepper Chicken under the BBQ Specials and an egg roll. When the nice man handed me the bag it was heavy. When I got it home I saw why. It was packed with chicken and rice. At 5.79 I thought that was pretty awesome. And it was good and hot. Left my mouth with that tingling Szechuan sensation I've become obsessed with. I'm holding on to a star until I try the wings which comes with TEN different sauces. They even have Jerk Chicken on the menu. I would definately be curious to see what an Asian spin on a Jamaican classic would be like. Stay tuned for that review in the meantime good job China Wok!

Pop-pop, it's showtime (showtime) showtime (showtime)! Guess who's back for another amazing Yelp…read morereview? They don't know (they don't know)? Bet they know as soon as they read a couple paragraphs, it's J-Crow! What's up Yelp? I've been busy with school lately, and have only had time for a review here and there, but I thought I had to sign in and post about this awesome Chinese jawn, especially when I saw it only had 3 stars. I went here at around 6 o'clock tonight in search of a place that was still a. open b. accepted credit cards and c. wasn't on the Northside (cough cough China King). Joyful Garden delivered. I got the General Tso's with the egg roll for like $8. First off, as you can see from the picture, I just want other Chinese places to take note at the chicken/broccoli ratio. NO ONE LIKES BROCCOLI. Got it? It only adds to the aesthetics. I don't think anybody actually bothers eating them. The chicken was pretty good, not burnt, but the best part was the delicious sauce that it was drenched in. I mean they really caked that sh/it in, and I just want you to know, JG, I appreciate it. The place was also well run, and had fast service. If you're looking for Chinese on the west side, this is your place. Also, there was a sign that made me laugh. Someone already posted a pic of it, so I won't, but it was a picture of lettuce that said: "WOW!!! GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES. EAT MORE GREEN MORE HEALTHY" First off, no one gets that excited over a picture of lettuce, and also, who the hell wrote that sentence? Did the guy have a nephew with Down Syndrome and he put him in charge of the signs? And that's no disrespect to the awesome Down Syndrome community. But that is sometimes how they write. Anyway, if I didn't already sell you on this place in my review, I hope that sign will. I mean you got to eat more green more healthy bro. Eat more green more healthy bro.

Disappointing. This was the closest Chinese place to my…read morefriend's new apartment, and the prices and selection looked good so we took a walk over to check it out. Although it doesn't say anywhere, the photos clearly show a dining area so we thought we could go and eat there. Nope, no tables to be found. It felt like walking into a sleazy check cashing place, with the kitchen and staff behind metal fencing. Well, we were here anyway, so we ordered. The staff was friendly and the food came pretty quick, but that's about the only highlight of this visit. We walked back to his place and started to eat, and... were very disappointed. The food was bland. Not explicitly bad, but it was just meh. My pork egg roll had no pork in it - just cabbage. The General Tso's looked like it'd been made with ketchup. Overall a disappointing experience. I doubt we'll go here again.
