I was in the area for an appointment, and I stopped in and ordered food for after I was finished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I took the fresh food to go. It was not only inexpensive but well prepared and tasted fantastic. Of the 3 items I ordered I would recommend the crab with avocado roll. The other 2 were great; salmon and tempura shrimp rolls. But the crab roll was surprisingly fancy and fun. It was safely packaged to go for me, including chopsticks, traditional soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. Came here around 7pm on a Friday and it had a decent amount of people eating here! The waitress (not sure if she is an owner or just an employee) was SO sweet I wish I would've gotten her name. She was the only one on the floor and incredibly positive and peppy. She was adorable, hope everyone comes here just to meet her. Let me start with the service, because that was a highlight of my first visit to Sushi One. The server was incredible. She was so friendly and outgoing. Thank you "my friend"! Now the food; I started with a Queen's roll. This roll had eel, avocado and crunch inside, wrapped with salmon, topped with seaweed. It was a very good roll. I would score this roll an 8/10. I also had the Godzilla Roll, which had spicy crab ,cucumber ,tempura flakes ,outside ell avocado ,Eel sauce. I enjoyed this roll, and would give this a score of 6/10. I also had some edamame and sashimi, which were both typical of what you'd expect. Go! Go check this place out and enjoy great service and very good sushi. Sushi One is 1 of 2 favorite Asian restaurants that my son and I love in Lancaster. They have consistently good food and service, and my son loves all of the attention poured onto him from the waitress. My son is a huge sashimi eater, and they have a very good variety of fish, roe, and cephalopods. They also have unique appetizers that my son devours like BBQ squid and baby octopus. I'm not a seafood person, and I'm always trying something different here from curry to katsu to hibachi, and everything has been good! She was attentive, kind, and most of all hilariously entertaining! We tried their Queens roll as well as some red snapper, salmon and yellowtail. Everything was presented elegantly and tasted so fresh and delicious! The walls are adorned with beautiful tapestry style art and the katanas and sumo wrestlers at the front are awesome! We've been in PA for about a year and before this were in NYC where they're a sushi place on every other block. Lots of great sushi places to choose from. Here, not so much so when you find a great place you go there often. I'm happy to write a good review about this place because I want them to last. The restaurant business is a hard business? And sushi in Lancaster is taking quite a chance. But they know what they're doing. We started with edamame and I ordered 2 spicy crunch tuna rolls and one to go because it was that good. My wife got Bruce's roll which is crab meat, shrimp, tempura, and avocado. I wish I could try it but I'm allergic. My wife said she loved it. Our waitress was so funny and bubbly. She really added to the experience and put us in a great mood. The bathrooms are clean and had great decor and the ambiance of the entire place was mellow, traditional and relaxed. My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times and had takeout on several occasions. Last Friday, April 21, 2017, we decided to have dinner here once again. We were greeted and shown to a booth. We immediately noticed the server was brisk and not very friendly. This treatment continued throughout the meal. We were brought our drinks soup and sushi almost in a RUDE fashion each time. The food was good but the behavior so unacceptable, I felt I should say something to someone. I saw someone else that appeared to be the manager. I asked him if he was one of the owners and he said, yes. I told him that felt we had been treated rudely. He said something to the effect of 'I'm sorry'. I told him the treatment made us feel as though we weren't welcome and then maybe we shouldn't come back. He sort of shrugged his shoulders so we live up to the suggestion and not go back. The sushi is good here but the serving staff is pathetic. We won't go back! read more

Have been there twice. First time was excellent. Second time was a huge disappointment. Went in on a Sat night and it was reasonably crowded. After ordering we proceeded to wait and wait and wait. We saw people come in, get seated, order, eat, and leave and we still had nothing. When we asked about our order we were told it would be right out. Another 20 mins went by and nothing. So we up and left. Anybody who goes out knows that orders get lost in the shuffle but we found HUGELY disppointing is essentially being lied to - told our order would be right out but clearly wasn't even submitted. A restaurant that is more committed to customers would have acknowledged they made a mistake and offered to bring a complimentary appetizer or two while we waited. The food was great, atmosphere nice. The main problem was the service. We ordered the love boat and asked what could be on it. We were told specialty rolls were okay. So we ordered some. Once we finished, it was more expensive than it should be. When we asked why, apparently specialty rolls were not included in the price. The staff did not apologize for the confusion, just basically said they thought they explained it. When they did not. They only explained to us AFTER the bill came. Poor communication skills, poor service in general. Food is great like previously stated, but if the staff can't even communicate what's in an entree, then it's not worth going unless you have a really fat wallet. read more

I come here to get my standard... avocado rolls and a mochi ice cream (the folks always get salmon roll or tempura roll) Pretty cheap and they are really quick. Nothing fancy here ... but decent food. I have never eaten in .... just do take out here. It always seems kind of empty when I come and the staff are always friendly ..
