Daughter treated me to lunch today. She said her "Salad Creation" looked like Thanksgiving while mine more resembled Christmas.

Food is always excellent. The ingredients are always fresh and of a wide variety. There's never been a crowd any time we have visited. The bathrooms are a bit strangely dark and a bit creepy as a result, but seem to be maintained and well stocked. Customer service is hit or miss, contingent upon the staff attentiveness. There's always plenty of staff, but sometimes it's just not as attentive to customers as the posted reminders behind the counter suggest. We love the healthy and hearty portions and wish more locations would open in the area, instead of junk fast foods serving burgers and greasy chicken. So, anytime we get the urge for a delicious customized salad- it's worth the 20-30min drive. Catering options are also available.

Have to say I was completely unimpressed. The presentation of the food is not the best. The price was ridiculously outrageous. The lady pretty much mushed all my ingredients together in a bowl a plopped them onto bread. I thought I'd get slices of mozzarella for my sandwich, but nope, the lady used the mozzarella you'd use for a salad on my sandwich. It was actually disturbing watching her mush it all up. When I asked if she could put an actual slice of mozzarella on my sandwich, she told me she already put mozzarella in the sandwich... barely! Anyway thanks to me asking for a slice of mozzarella, I got charged almost $2 extra. The broccoli cheddar soup was good, nothing special, but it was the best part of the meal. The next best part was the pickle and chips. I paid about $2 extra for the roll, which mind you, was extremely hard and stale. My $13 meal jumped to $18 thanks to my ignorance. The establishment itself is nice and quiet to eat at, but it's nothing special. Will I back?... Yes... once in awhile I do like coming here, however I need to never ask for more cheese and if my roll is hard as a rock, I'll ask for another one rather than settling. The meal makes for a good lunch, but honestly looking at the photo, it looks like a meal you'd prepare for a 7 year old child. Honestly, just go for the salad, much better than the sandwiches. Enjoy!

Saladworks was convenient today to get two items for my son and myself. We had a coupon so I got the pick 2...a salad and soup. Their lobster soup is one of my favorites. My son got the Buffalo chicken panini which is a good choice as well. I have always had a good experience at this Wyomissing location. The staff are nice and quickly fill my order. I haven't eaten in the restaurant-I just take my food home, but there always seems to be people sitting down enjoying a meal.

Did I seriously pay $13 for a salad that I could have made at the Giant salad bar for half the price?! Or I could have gone to a restaurant with table service and had a salad twice as big for the same price. A vivid reminder why I never come here. I like the option of CYO, but the price isn't justifiable. I normally pack my own salad for lunch, but didn't have time this particular morning. Shame on me, I will not make that mistake again.

I travel to Reading , PA for work. I go to Salad works eveyweek. This is probably the best place for salads in Reading area . They have a ton of variety for salad and soups .The interior is very nice . I recommend the Southwest Quinoa grain bowl and the bean soup .

Love this place! Delicious food and it's great because you get to pick out whatever toppings you want! Soups are delicious as well! We both got the half salad and half soup and it was plenty of food!!!

Two salads & one iced tea to share for my wife and me. It was $21.xx. That's pretty ridiculous when you consider other places we could've visited for the same money. Ask for your dressing on the side, they seem to have a heavy hand...

Like the food, but staff aren't the greatest at making sure online orders that are for pick up contain all items ordered.

I'll be honest, I didn't know much about this place going in, but I'm really glad I went and I'll definitely be back. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is a beautiful, large fish tank built right into the wall on your right. The restaurant is dim and upscale-feeling, but still very family-friendly and not loud or overstimulating, so you can actually have a conversation. They have both booths and tables, and the space is very open and spread out. As a parent, you can even strategically seat your family in view of the fish tank or the windows to give the kids something to look at. It's great for a casual family dinner, a date night, or even a birthday celebration. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no ramps, you can roll right in to your table. It's located in a plaza but set apart, so parking was never an issue. Plenty of spots, including handicap parking up front with just a short walk to the entrance. They have a solid variety on the menu including alligator bites, burgers, pasta, salads, and more. It is on the higher end price wise. Most entrees start around $14 and up, and even the kids meals begin at $8.90. The cocktail menu is extensive and the dessert menu is worth a look too. They also have a lunch menu where prices vary a bit more favorably. I ordered the Coastal Cheddar cheeseburger burger with no tomatoes and it was excellent. Very fresh, well seasoned, and served with shoestring fries that were equally on point. They also bring out a ciabatta loaf with butter to start, which was a really nice touch. Food came out quickly (always a plus). The staff is genuinely incredible. There's a tag team mentality where anyone on the floor can help you, refill your drink, or check on your table. My server was very attentive, and even when they got busy someone always stepped in. No reservations needed, at least when I went which was on a Sunday around 1pm. Highly recommend!

My husband and I assessed Austin's differently. He ordered prime rib which he said was nothing short of perfect. Cooked medium rare as requested, tender, juicy -- he savored every bite. I scanned the menu. Nothing jumped out at me. (I generally don't gravitate to steakhouse-type restaurants.) I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs. My point of comparison is Longhorn's which offers more of a bang-for-a-buck, and in my opinion better tasting ribs. Not to say that Austin's aren't good. They are. Based on the popularity of Austin's, it's clear management knows what they're doing. But I think a small salad and baked potato should be available with the price of the entree -- not worth the extra $7 I was going to be charged. The salad is listed as 'field greens,' -- which it's not -- but reading the menu you'll see they mean iceberg and romaine. The salad was good, enhanced by their garlic ranch dressing. We washed down our meals with well-priced drinks: merlot ($8.90) and Blue Moon ($6.90), then splurged on dessert. Austin's flourless double chocolate brownie a la mode is very rich. One order for two adults is plenty. Austin's is aptly described as a family restaurant. A lot of kids. A lot of noise. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. While not my kind of restaurant, if prime rib is your thing -- this could be the place!

Here are some of the reasons for our disappointment: 1. Hospitality is significantly lacking! There is little to no warmth of personality in the workers. No smiles no guidance for taking orders of someone who professes it's their first time visiting. No one followed up to see if we wanted to or needed anything else after our food was received. They didn't even bother asking if everything was okay. Customer service has no personality nor a dedication to excellence. 2. To order/pay/ attain a menu, you must navigate and stand in line on steps which will be difficult for customers who may have disabilities or mobility difficulties. 3. High chairs are stored in the bathroom along with the toilet and other items for storage. This is quite disgusting as when toilets are flushed, particles are sprayed into the air and then will come to rest on the high chairs where patrons put their children to eats. Gross. 4. I specifically asked during the placement of my order if the sausage was spicy/peppery and was told "no", so I ordered it, only to have both myself and the other person in our party agree that it was spicy/had a kick. No syrup was provided either. 5. The toast was so hard it was like a rock and I never was provided with the jam that is clearly indicated on our receipt, and I was charged an additional fee for- nor did anyone come over to check on us or offer to bring it. Again poor service! 6. The floors and displays were dusty and boasted cobwebs. Observing staff clearing plates from tables I noticed that tables and chairs were not wiped/sanitized between customers. There are additional concerns we had about our first visit here, but I'm sure you get the idea. It is extremely rare that I leave poor reviews, but this one stood out and can't be overlooked. Just highly disappointed and I would never recommend this place, except for maybe a coffee to go, but nothing more. Save your time and money and visit elsewhere to avoid wasting it and leaving in a state of disappointment.
