Bread with meatball came out black, literally black. We were told that's just how they do it. BBQ wings were flavorless, overcooked, charred, and blue cheese dressing was gelatinous and slimy--inedible. French fries were a plate of tiny nubs, no fry was even a half inch long. My friend and i came here because we were visiting reading for the first time and were craving pizza. The staff was kind enough to let us order pizzas with two flavors (as long as both were with sauce or without sauce) and we were excited to try the many flavors they had! My friend was vegetarian so all the pizzas we ordered were vegetarian. My favorite was the primavera because there were a lot of toppings that gave the pizza a delicious crunch and had it was a mouthful of taste. The tre colori was my friend's favorite and the pesto sauce was a nice touch that paired with the cheese. Unfortunately, our 2nd pizza was one we did not like as much. We wanted to be more adventurous and ordered the tartufata (black truffle) and quattro formagi pizza. But without the sauce, there was no acidic tomato sauce to balance out the flavor which made the black truffle/blue cheese flavors stand out very strongly. The tartufata is still a good choice for those that love truffle oil but it was just a bit too heavy and oily for my friend and i. We had the same issue with quattro formagi but i think the issue was more that we realized we just dont like blue cheese. Overall, this was a good experience! Staff was very friendly and helped answer any questions we had. We also sat on the outside patio which gave us a great view of the city and the sunset. Approachable Italian joint in West Reading, PA (I originally was going to use the word "accessible," but I'm not sure that the space is accessible in that there's a wide-ish staircase of 5-7 steps immediately upon entry.). Accessibility aside, the food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and quick. The establishment touts its imported ingredients, and the food is reminiscent of my numerous trips to various parts of Italy. We made a reservation for 8 people, and it's a good thing, too. The restaurant was quite busy the entire time we were there. The staff were very kind and separated our checks as requested. Tuesday's are Build Your Own Burger night. For $14.99 you get a burger the way you want it plus limitless fries and unlimited refills. Such a good deal. Beware! Was here recently for maybe the 4th or 5th time in a year. Do not like their Marguerite pizza as you get mostly sauce with a few chunks of cheese. Waitress told me she could even the cheese out through the whole pie, you know what pizza is supposed to be!! It was very good! Got the bill, she charged me $2.25 for extra cheese, didn't tell me. WOW, customer service sucked here. I stopped by because I wanted to grab something to eat and the hostess/ server said either the bar or table and since I grabbed a table she mentioned someone would be with me in a minute. I reviewed the menu and watched four different waitresses pass by me with nothing in their hands and go to other tables. Not one of them that passed by me said they they would be right with me or asked if I wanted something to drink. I waited for five minutes as people walked by me and then looked at the bar and saw that a few guys that walked in minutes after me already have beers in their hands. The funny thing is, I left another restaurant because the web site offered several dishes that were not on the menu and I read the reviews on this place and took a chance, will not be back and I don't recommend a place that looks after customers, even if it's just for one person. read more

Definitely worth stopping here! The service was wonderful! The pizzas only come in one size. They call them "personal pizzas" but they are huge 12 inch pizzas! The roast beef panni is no more than dog food with onions and cheese. Very salty, and basically lunch meat.

I had very high hopes for this pizza based on the reviews, but the Margherita pie was about 3.5 stars for me. I enjoyed the crust, but the pie was a bit soggy. Which was surprising, since it had come out of the oven as I was waiting there to pick it up. It should not have gotten soggy in the 7 minutes it took for me to get back and eat a slice. Decent distribution of the mozzarella; but the basil on top was a little sad. The sauce was a little too sweet for me but tasted alright. I got mushrooms on top (extra $2) and they were waterlogged and bland. The truffle fries though- man those truffle fries were absolutely delicious. Definitely meant to share, since the portion size is pretty big. Very rich and amazing with the aioli they're served with. Maybe another type of pie is better, but the pizza was alright for me. Still great, but I think the food and service suffered a bit through Covid and now lingers into post-Covid. Was always a family standby for truly delicious food in a casual, but "put together" and well managed atmosphere. The caprese salad, all the pizzas, and the wings, along with a small bit well thought out beer menu always were outstanding. However we've noticed that the caprese has slid quite a bit. No or very little basil, poorer quality tomatoes, just not as good all around. Similar comments on everything else. Likewise with the service. First thing we noticed walking up was outdoor availability for dining. The area was clean and inviting but a storm was coming so we opted for indoors.
