We went early when they opened. There was a steady stream of people coming in for take out and one gentleman eating inside. The pizza sauce was spot on, the cheese-grande cheese/ another hit. The crust was just right. Not too thin and not too thick. That was my sweet spot. Nice size pie for the extra large cheese. Extra large pie was only $16. That size pie near my house would be $22 or more. My husband only critique was he thought the dough could have used a pinch more salt. Staff was nice. I ordered sandwiches and fries for takeout. The sandwich was placed on top of the fries in a plastic container without being wrapped. I was staying just 3 minutes away but until I made it home both the fries and sandwiches were limp and soggy and unbeatable. Both meals were thrown out. Used to get pizza and sides here at least once a month. Pizza was great and everything usually was great. My wife and I decided to switch it up tonight and got a cheesesteak and tuna sub. Both were the worst things we have ever eaten. Now I am sure this is not the case every time as we have had good experiences here but the bread was so hard and stale on both of the sandwichs that we couldn't eat them. I drove 20 mins each way for this and we were just over the night so we asked for a refund. They guy said yes bring the sandwiches back and we will refund you so I drove there again and they then proceeded to deny me the refund and just say we would cook our food again. And that was nice but it wasn't what we had agreed to on the phone. My wife is 34 weeks pregnant and gets sick easily and she wasn't eating anymore that night so having them remake was a waste we just wanted our money back. They refused and claimed I was just trying to get a free meal. We didn't even eat the original sandwiches so tell me how that makes sense. Just bad customer service. read more

We've been traveling to Adamstown for antiquing for 20 years. So happy to have found Procopio's! Have been going here for years every time we visit. We always find the time to grab a slice, whether it be a quick slice for lunch or dinner. Honestly the best pizza we've ever had, and we're from New York and New Jersey. What does that tell you?? Our area is known for the best pizza - yet we have to travel to Adamstown PA to enjoy our favorite. Last time we went, recently, we ordered fries with our pizza. The pizza came out first, so my husband started eating because he was starving. The fries never came. When I walked up to the counter to check in - they were surprised. The fries were actually delivered to a different table by accident. That table never even ordered fries . You would think people would say something, "hey - I didn't order these." Nope. They just took them and ate them. We felt bad asking for a credit, but we couldn't stay any longer. Felt bad for the owners that they have to deal with jerks like that. We Have ordered from Procopio's many times over the past 7 years, The food has gone down hill. We ordered from there last night, we got our food delivered, tipping $10 and we got fried mushrooms instead of Cauliflower bites. Missed the Mark there. I asked for extra oil And vinegar on my sandwich and extra stuff for my husband's sandwich, even explaining they were dry the last time we ordered. They said they would put it on the side. None of the above happened. Fries were so greasy and soggy I put them in the oven, they were still less than good. 45 later ($55 w/tip) I ate a few bites of my food and threw the rest away and explained to my husband, I won't be joining in if he ever chooses to order from there again. The guy that answers the phone sometimes has such a strong barrier with broken English, no doubt that's the issue with wrong side. Even though he repeated the correct side to me upon ordering. The pizza was very good and I loved the crust, the garlic knots I wasn't a huge fan of they were dripping in so much oil so I won't be ordering them again but the amazing pizza made up for that! This is my hometown pizza place! They have fantastic pizza, wraps, and salads. I have never had a bad meal here! It's always hot, fresh, and delicious. They serve that perfect pizza you can only get in the NE US. *Highly* recommend. When I'm not in the mood for pizza, I get the Chicken Caesar, or Chicken Fajita wraps. The portions are HUGE, and they come with fries. Also recommend the veggie pizza! Service quality is prompt, and excellent. This establishment is family owned.
