I didn't realize that there was a service plaza on the Turnpike in only another two miles, so I exited here and found this convenience store and gas station to fill up the rental car and turn off the idiot "low fuel" light. I did not want to be that guy who ran out of gas this time. Gas station is easily accessible and the pump area is covered. Receipt printer worked fine. I was traveling back home to Silver Spring MD with my son-in-law & 5 year old grandson from Bethlehem PA. We had been visiting relatives on his side of the family Thanksgiving weekend. It was a little more than a 3 hour drive for us. We stopped here to use the bathroom and to get a more substantial bite to eat. All we had before leaving the Historic Hotel Bethlehem was some coffee, tea & bites of coffee cake. It was about 10 am on Sunday morning and the store was busy with customers coming & going. There are 2 family bathrooms here and we had to wait in a short line to use them. I used it with my grandson as my son-in-law waited a little bit longer. The bathrooms were well maintained & very clean. Upon exiting the bathroom we began to look for something to eat! This is your basic gas station convenience store. It was clean, well lit, attractive and well stocked with grocery items, snacks, basic home items, candy and more. There are the typical coffee & drink stations here. The warm food trays had an assortment of breakfast sandwiches including wrapped bagel & croissant sandwiches. They were priced at 2 for $4. We bought 2 bacon, egg, and cream cheese bagels. My grandson eyed the big cheese pizza slices on the tower display off to the left. We quickly made our purchase & got back on the road. My grandson really liked his pizza thanking his dad several times for it! The plain bagel cream cheese breakfast sandwiches were warm and quite filling with sausage and bacon! Stopping here helped us get home quickly so we could enjoy the remainder of the day. This TH features the best kept, cleanest, freshest coffee station in the area say what you will about 'gas station' coffee, but for those of us that love it, it doesn't get much better than this location. As for the rest of the store, it is pretty much status quo. I was never much of a fan of the Real Time Cafe' that TH has for meals, so that is a bit of a drawback compared to so of the other gas stations in the area, most notably Sheetz and Wawa. Is there a bigger pain than being in a hurry and having the credit card reader not functioning at you pump? I think not. I have gone though this ordeal at this location more than any other. What gives? One more pet peeve..... Why do I have to pay for air to fill my tires? For cheapskates like me, I'd recommend waiting till you get past a Sheetz and get free air. By then it will be lunch time and you can get something better to eat than you would here. 2 birds, one stone. read more
