Convenient gas station/ food stop near major beltway. Fully stocked shelves and lots of yum made to order food options. It's a bonus that they service alcohol in Slushy form and bottles of wine. Convenient in house seating w condiments at your fingertips. Made to order service can be a little slow and skimpy on the meat options. I ordered 6 wings and hash brown rounds. Very good!! Hubby ordered a turkey sandwich and literally couldn't find the lunch meat initially due to it being almost non existent. Wasn't appealing enough to picture. Otherwise, everything was fresh and pleased my hubby. Customer service was average. Room for improvement by cashier as she doesn't greet customers and barely thanks them. read more

Went there on a Tuesday around noon. There was boxes and items on carts blocking half of the aisles, with seemingly no one working on them. I wanted to stop in to use the bathroom before getting my gas, but they only have a men's bathroom, even though there's a sign that points to a women's bathroom further in the back, there's only two employee closets there instead. I don't have a problem using a men's bathroom, although I wish they would get with the times and have a unisex bathroom since it's single stall and would make more people feel comfortable. Someone was in there so I had to give up after waiting awhile because I didn't want to hold up the gas pump. I give 3/5 because the cashier was friendly and attentive and they did have a large store with lots of options for drinks, frozen goods, made to order food, beer, and a healthy option station in the center of the store. read more

I think it depends on who is working in the food kiosk that make the made to order stuff. Sometimes when I order my usual food (as a VIP I have it saved so I can quickly get it) the burger I get isn't made how I like it. I mean, yes it is made and I still eat it, but I have a preferred way of it being built. Yes, I'm a picky eater when it comes to how my burger is made, but it's still a good burger in itself. Other than that, the store is nice, the gas pumps are nice and the staff is usually nice too. I live only 5 minutes from this place anyways, so it's why I frequent it. read more

Shout out to Rutters 23. It was very clean, even the parking lot. Even the ice bags were stacked neatly in the ice chest. There were many drinks available in cans versus plastic bottles ( not just energy drinks) which I look for specifically. They also have the top tier fuel. It was a nice surprise on my journey. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a one star. We currently have been waiting for our food for 30 minutes, still don't have it. Two workers behind the counter and the place is packed because Field of Screams is open again and duh...people are going to come here after and get food. I've never in my life seen such an absolute mess. I blame this on poor management. Get it together. read more

Stopped for brkfast on my way to work. Ordered a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich. Got to work, open sandwich-- no sausage. Disapointing but everyone has a day. I like to be fair. Two weeks later, again on my way to work, I stop & order 3 brkfast sliders (sausage, egg & cheese). 3-4 minutes down the road, I get one out...colder than room temp. I live in Wawa territory so I had to see what Rutters was all about. I was impressed. I did not get any food prepared but it smelled good. Far better parking lot than any Wawa (everyone who has survived a Wawa parking lot knows what I'm referencing.) I am making this review based on the Strasburg location only, but if they are all like this I would gladly leave Wawa behind. The store was well laid out, clean, staff was friendly, and there was a small dining area. I didn't feel rushed at all like I do in my local convenience store even though there were plenty of customers. Gas pumps were well lit, lots of space between them, 16 pumps, and gas was reasonably priced. Cheaper here in Amish country and slightly less than local competitors. I will definitely stop in when I travel this way again. read more

We were painting and needed something quick to fill our stomach. So my wife went over to Rutgers and got us subs. They weren't amazing but hit the spot. Surprisingly Rutgers has decent food. I'd compare it to sheetz in quality. Nothing more nothing less. read more

Have been going to Rutter's for food, for about a year now. I always get the same thing! I started off going to the one in Wrightsville and everything was fine. Very good food, nice staff, clean. A few months ago I went to this location to get "my usual"...they messed up my order big time! When I called and asked to speak with the manager, he acted like it was no big deal. Worst of all he never apologized!! I have been getting food at the Wrightsville location ever since and everything has been fine. Today, due to my schedule I thought I'd stop and (my same food order) at this location and let's just say I will NEVER get food here again!!! I watched a girl make my burger...she had it all wrapped up and realized she forgot the jalapeños...she tore open the wrapper and literally threw them on the burger. I think there were more peppers on the wrapper, than on the burger!!! I witnessed this and when she called my number, I asked her if there were jalapeños on my burger she could not even say a word to me!!! (I watched her make it) She just vaguely nodded. Talk about rude and un-professional!!! Can't believe she even has a job! Secondly my burger bun was that smashed and torn, I could have gotten a better bun from a McDonald's for god sake!! This location needs help!!!! From how they serve the food and more importantly who they hire!! This is my last time at this location. Maybe they should take some notes from the Wrightsville location!! Will never get food from this location again!!! read more

it's a gas station with some truck parking spaces. nothing spectacular about the facility. they have awesome food with a wide variety. prices are a little high but the food is prepared as you order it. not sitting under a heating lamp for hours on end. it's clean and well stocked. overall it's q good place for truckers to spend the night read more
