The location is great @ the end of the neighborhood. The Weis although started out as a Superstore kinda reverted back to being more of the Supermarket. It still has a variety of choices and brands a good bakery a good deli and meat department a nice size produce. Regular Dairy and Frozen goods along with household items. The prices are competitive but the location is the ideal spot for some quick itemized shopping! read more

I go here for a quick grocery trip and every time I get stuck at the checkout because the machines are so finicky! A customer service representative always has to come over to scan their card for me to continue checking out at least three times. I really can't stand going here, but they have all of the things I need. Thanks to the employees for being nice, but the checkout system needs improvement!!! read more

As average as a grocery store can get. Limited produce and bakery sections/selections. Decent deli, meats and seafood, but not as varied as the bigger Giant and Wegman's stores. This grocery store is the closest one to my house and that is really the only reason I shop here. It's convenient, but not much else stands out. "Fresh" bakery items are trucked-in frozen and heated up in the store ovens, so not really fresh. It has a pharmacy inside, so that is an added amenity, but doesn't make this store any more remarkable. 3 stars for you! read more

This is literally the worst job ever. Not only did I work constantly, but when I had to go to the ER because I thought I was dying, I was told by one of the higher managers that I was lying because I returned back home after my CAT scan. I got a strike for that even after I turned in a ER note the day after. When I first started working I made a fairly big mistake closing the deli because I listened to another worker who had been there longer. The same higher manager reprimanded me in front of everyone in the back of the deli where I worked, proceeding to put the blame on me and me only. The only reason I wasn't fired was because of my deli manager. You want me to talk about the store itself? Under pays their employees for the amount of shit we deal with. Not only that when I had to move immediately I called the weis near my new location. They were delighted to hire me, until the same higher manager told them I was unfit for the job because of these two "strikes". I worked at McDonalds before... that was better. read more

I left a fairly expensive item (~$20, already paid for) in the cart and drive off without it. With the assistance of the manager we determined that someone else must have walked off with it. They don't sell beer and wine. They don't have a majority of the items I'm ever looking for- I.e. cold pressed juices, perfect bars, certain fruits and veggies, ripe avocados (either over or a few days under ripe). Their salad/soup bar seems to be available roughly five goes a day but never when I'm there. Their rotisserie chickens are about $2 more than giant. Their refrigerated beverages are twice the price of other stores. Unfortunately they don't offer a lot of the stuff other stores do, and it takes far too long to rack up gas points. The positives are that it's close to me and great for picking up last minute items, they have great policies for refunding when an item rings up incorrectly, and their staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. Best customer service ever. Call to see if they had a product put me on hold came back with price and brand, went straight to the store same customer service gentleman helped me, took me to the isle. weis has increasingly become crazy with their prices. and now i was just told that because i bought a lasagne and mac and cheese with the points i had accumulated i could not buy a turkey even though i have not got one yet. how pathetic is that..you just lost me as a customer period. oh and by the way, increasing the price per pound on the so-called buy one get one free etc..is ripping your customers off. to think i worked for you as a teenager and had come to rely on weis for cheaper prices on groceries...now they want you to do their work for them and check out yourself while three to four people stand around the front end doing nothing at all. the cashiers either throw your stuff in a bag irregardless of what it is or no register is open unless it is self checkout. its BS period....weis sucks read more

Went to the deli counter on 2 separate shopping trips and was completely ignored by the attendant. On the first trip when i was eventually waited on the girl was rude and annoyed that I was asking for something behind the counter. Today I was ignored and never waited on. The girl made eye contact and immediately went back to doing things in the prep area. I under stand that they have tasks that need to be completed but I was not even acknowledged. Admittedly, I have been spoiled by some pretty fantastic grocery stores over the course of my life (Wegmans, HEB+, Fresh Market, etc.). Since I am a home-cook extraordinaire, I have a thorough understanding of quality ingredients and brands. As such, there is a certain level of quality, service, and expectation that I have when I go to a grocery store. Very simply, Weis is not really my type of grocery spot. I equate Weis to a 'quick stop' or a 'convenience' store. Meaning, I am by no means doing my weekly grocery shopping here; but should I need to run-out and quickly grab a gallon of milk (or something), I would stop-by - but only because it is the closest grocery store to my home, and really for no other reason. Bakery: I am a bread snob, and from my experience, Weis lacks any good bakery products. From donuts, to breads, to rolls, to specialty items - they are average-at-best in both freshness and quality. Deli: N/A ... I have never ordered from their deli Dairy/Frozen: They typically have a pretty good selection of your classic items, and they are all pretty fairly priced. They have all of the traditional brands you could imagine in nearly every category. Meat/Seafood: I have checked-out the meat case on a few occasions, and they are really basic. You're not going to find too many quality cuts, nor are you going to find any exotic meats. Again, this is a very basic meat department that offers your classic meat products, but nothing more. The same goes for seafood as well. Not an overly large or exotic selection. The quality is average. Produce: Again, average. I have seen a varying degree of freshness, and have experienced a varying degree of quality. For example, sometimes I get produce with excellent and vibrant flavor, the very next week I get the same thing and it is bland. I know this has to do with distributor as much as grocer; but at the end of the day, Weis is the one selling it to me. Specialty Departments: There are none. Again, this is a very basic, old-school grocery store that will have all of your main essentials; but do not look for foodie products, exotic products, or any hard-to-find items because Weis will not have them. If they do, they will have one brand and no selection. Departments: 2 / 5 Service: The service I have gotten at Weis is generally pleasant. In fact, now that I mention it, it has always been better-than-average. Mind you, for some reason I always have a deli-issue at some point when I go grocery shopping; but I have never used their deli - so I guess they are off-the-hook there. Either way, the cashiers have always been friendly, and when I do encounter someone in an aisle or elsewhere throughout the store, they are typically nice and can at least muster a smile - occasionally, even conversation! Service: 4 / 5 Atmosphere: The place feels a little dingy; but not dirty. The one nice thing about this Weis, is it is very rarely busy - compared to Giant or Wegmans. If you want a relatively peaceful shopping experience, this is probably a better option than any of the aforementioned. However, for that, you will be sacrificing quality, freshness, and selection. The relative importance of that though is for you to decide. Atmosphere: 3 / 5 Price: I think that what you pay for at Weis is what you get. They do run some pretty good sales from time-to-time; but all grocery stores do. I think that in terms of the quality that they offer, they price it appropriately. Price: 3 / 5 Final Thoughts: Overall, Weis is usually on my list of places to stop if one of two things occur: 1.) I am picking-up something from Redbox (it is the closest Redbox location to my home), or; 2.) I need something basic, quick. I really wouldn't use Weis for any more than that. This reminds me of the type of grocery store that I would have used back when I was in college. It seems more like a stop-in / stop-out budget store with the bare essentials and a limited selection of any items outside of that. For someone who doesn't cook too many home meals, or for someone who budget-shops, I think that you would be fine coming here. If you are looking for higher-quality or fresher items outside of that, you'll have to go a Super Giant or Wegmans. read more

I do occasionally enjoy going to this Weis, however I am a late night shopper and the hours they have listed on the website are incorrect. They claim to be open 24 hours, however, I went to grab something at around midnight and a worker appeared to be waiting for his ride whilst sitting on the curb. As I got out of my car, he says that they are closed. read more

More pricey than Wegman's but it's so close by and it's open 24/7! As a student, sometimes I might be craving a snack and it's just nice that it's open. There's a decent selection of fresh produce. From food items to cleaning supplies, it has all the necessities. Employees are nice people. read more

They're big, as you'd expect a store to be these days, but they've built a reputation with me for having gray (old) meat.

Nice store, short lines at cashier, nice people, nice pharmacy. The best part is they are a Pennsylvania business. I believe the original owner donated money to Bucknell college. I think their store brand products are good, much better than giant. If you shop with patience most items can be bought at very low prices sooner or later. Not like the gimmicks at other stores. I don't need to satisfy my ego by shopping at one of the mega stores. I find everything I need and of good quality at Weis. Meat, Fish, cheese, deli its all their. read more
