I sometimes forget about this Walmart Supercenter, except today when I conveniently found a few products I needed. I know stores have to protect their inventory, but it is sad to see so many beauty creams/products under lock. After the staff member retrieves the product from the locked area, it is placed in a locked, secure case that only the checkout clerk can unlock for you to purchase. Slight remodelation and reconfiguration of the checkouts has improved efficiency. But, it's still Walmart and no one around here seems to care about anything, just like automatons going about their business without noticing the world around them. Customer service has a new meeting now, meeting the customer services him or herself. Some things are cheaper and must be purchased here to save money. Other than that, I never go out of my way to shop here. read more

Okay it's Christmas. The pleasantness of the associates I spoken with is worth 2 stars! Tracking down the products was way out of my league! Walmart changed things up since my last time being here. So marketers yo screwed up again if it weren't for your associates knowing the products I would have never found them! This parking lot at this Walmart Supercenter has the weirdest entrance that I've seen in a while. There are only two ways in or out and the first one requires that you circumnavigate the entire store to get to the front. It's weird. Inside, the usual departments were stocked appropriately and the floors were clean. I was able to find exactly what I needed swiftly as it was where it was supposed to be. Paying for my purchase was quick with a self-checkout that didn't barf at me or need assistance from the associate working the area. This Walmart is A-OK. Needed a $9 face wash which was in a locked case behind glass. Pressed help, "someone will be here shortly," I wait. Another worker said I'm sorry I don't have keys. Pressed again. Same message. I wait. It's now 10 mins. I find another worker who says "I hear her laugh up there." sure enough she's hanging out laughing with a coworker. I ask for help. she said the button must be broken. yeah right! There are $15 shampoos but face wash is under lock and key! read more

This store is in dire need of responsible leadership. The place is a total reck. Shelves are empty, like no stock has been ordered, delivered and/or put out for sale. What is on the shelves is dirty and unorganized. The only reason I gave it a 2 was the main bathroom was pretty clean. As with other places, the staff was very limited and when asked for their assistance we were not given the best service. It was like we were bothering them. Everyone is dealing with employee shortages, but the ones actually working need to be trained and supported by upper management a lot better. I would not recommend shopping here unless absolutely necessary. read more

This Walmart is handy for a lot of things, and it has a variety of different options you can choose from. It was a grocery section, a home section, and a tech section. I found the tech employee to be very helpful when asking about ink for my new printer, but some of the other employees at the front of the store were not as friendly. I asked if they had ice cube trays and they just shrugged their shoulders and went back to what they were doing. I found most of what I was looking for though. read more

Walmart's in this area are not as well managed as out west. Empty shelves are one thing, but merchandise waiting to be stocked in many aisle impeding shoppers is unnecessary! Prices are much higher due to inflation, many items especially food, beverages and pet food are significantly lower in other local brand stores. I go to Walmart now twice monthly rather than two times weekly. This Walmart has the strangest traffic pattern to get in or out! read more

Found the selection at this place below average. Went to the kitchen section - poorly arranged and less variety available. Aisles are very congested. Doesn't give a very clean feeling. Went to check out their groceries and vegetables seemed fresh though. Not likely to return to this branch for anything specific. read more

Today i went to the Camp Hill Walmart grocery area and some storage bins and was amazed to see someone with not one but TWO dogs in there! These clearly weren't service dogs, they were Scotties and on leashes. I pointed it out to a clerk and he just shrugged and said people bring dogs in and nothing could be done. I love dogs, we have one, but it is VERY unsanitary to have a dog wandering in a grocery store. I know at my favorite coffee shop, we can't bring our dog in because of health regs. So I hope something is one at Walmart to stop this. read more

This review is only for the optical department. Earlier in the day I broke my glasses. I was in a bad situation like anyone that needs them to use to read or drive. I walked into the optical department 10 minutes before closing time. I explained my desperation to the two young ladies in there. They looked over my glasses and said she should be able to fix them. By closing time she comes from the back with my glasses repaired. What an angel. I am glad she took the time to be a caring person. She could have said no and went on her way. You have two good people in there. Walmart gets a bad rap but I have nothing but praises for this event. read more

Went to get some basic grocery items. Did not see what I was looking for. Asked three different employees for help. One responded "that's not my department." Another employee responded that he was going on his break. Third employee acted like I was inconveniencing her. Finally went to customer service to ask for help. Nikki, the assistant manager, personally went to check to see if my item was in stock. If I dealt just with her, it would have been a great visit. Went to cash out, the cashier had absolutely no personality (no hello or goodbye). I went to return an item I purchased online from Walmart.com. I printed the return bar code and went to the store. I waited over 20 min in a long line ( only one agent at lunch hour!!!) . When my turn came the lady informed me that she could not return my item because the system is down!. They should have told me that ahead of time if they have any respect to their customers time. Second why can't they place more than one person for returns at lunch time? There was definitely many agents who seemed to be doing nothing except hanging around. I will coerce every one I know to go to amazon instead. read more

I wish there was a no star option! Let's gang up on the lady on the motorized cart! Trainee cashier being 'trained' by an incomplete associate. Wanted to load a Bluebird card - Trainee doesn't know how; trainer keys for a check wanting my ssn; trainer needs to ask another cashier for the correct code and then has the request for an ssn appear on the display 5 more times. Finally get the card loaded and proceed to check out. Wanted a pack of cigs - now they want my birthday to purchase them. I am about 30 years over the federal requirement - it is not necessary and in addition to the ssn fiasco more than an invasion of my privacy. REFUSED TO GIVE IT - trainer gets CSRs - not one but 3! Now I am ganged up on by 5 people - one of whom is telling me it is a federal law (at first it was a state law) that ID is required for anyone under 40 - federal law is 27 so I know I am getting a bs routine here and a CSR on a power trip. Why were 3 additional associates needed for an almost 60 year old lady in a cart? Because they were wrong, incompetent, etc and I was standing up for not having my privacy invaded or my identity stolen? The CSR did not like the fact I was not being quiet about their incompetence and others were hearing. Worst is the lie regarding federal law - do not claim something is law when it isn't. read more

I've always had great experiences here . Piper in the electronics department was very friendly & helpful. Unfortunately there wasn't anyone at the fishing department & we went over to ask him if there was anyone over there that could help . He took initiative to come over and help us quickly so he could get back to his original department.. we encountered a few problems with the drawer not having its cash & our items getting rung up incorrectly . Piper remained calm , & kept us at ease & the lady helping him was also very quick with the process . Thank you Piper for your great customer service !! read more

Twenty feet away, some poor guy is standing in front of an empty customer service desk. One checkout register open with four people in line, two in front, me plus three kids and the lady behind us. We checkout and on the way out the guy in front of customer service is still not being helped. Get it together, GM. No sense of urgency or customer focus at this location. read more

We were waiting in line for so long that we actually ran out of time and had to leave the cart there, and didn't buy anything. Almost every worker there didn't care at all about the customers. One worker completely ignored us when we politely asked if there was anyone else that could open another register. The person working at the only register open (there were about 15 people in line) was taking 10 minutes per customer. There were misplaced items in every aisle of the store, and the store seemed unclean in general. I don't even know why we come here, the line takes so long we can't ever buy anything anyway. If you don't have about 2 hours to wait in line, I don't recommend coming here. read more

The Lower Allen/Camp Hill store has had customer service problems since it opened. On numerous occasions I have observed several employees including management hanging out together in the store talking about everything but the store operations. I know for a fact because I have overheard them several times when approaching or passing by them. I can't think that every time I am there they are just taking a break from their work. At the times I observed this happening there is little help at the check out registers, and this type of terrible customer support keeps occurring. I keep hoping it will get better because of the closeness of the store location for me, but it hasn't. So most of the time I drive to either Silver Springs or Harrisburg stores. The cashiers that are doing their jobs working there should get double pay for having to put up with little to no help or support when needed. I confronted store management about this after standing in line on several occasions for some quite time and all I got was the " Deer in the Headlights Stare" from them. Wasn't sure if I should to call for an ambulance or not, he nor the employees he's was with didn't move nor say anything like they just did not even care. This store is not very good. It was impossible to find the vinegar and there were no labels with the word "vinegar" on the end of the aisles. It took two employees to find it. Yes, two. If you're looking for beauty products such as haircolor, there is very little to choose from. It almost feel like you're shopping in the haircolor section of the grocery store in the inner city. Also, don't even think about buying baking supplies for making anything gluten-free. You would think, something as basic as rice flour should be in the store, but it isn't. Trying to get into the parking lot was impossible. I had to turn into the Excitement Video parking lot just to spin around and be able to enter. The worst part of my experience was at the checkout. I was in the 20 items or less speedy line. The use of the word "speedy" is misleading and false. I was the fourth person in line. The first person in line took about 10 minutes to check out. Why? It seems she was cashing a check or doing something like that at the checkout. This is not the place for that. This was in addition to making a purchase. When it got to the point that the people just in front of me were up, they purchased a gift card and they also decided to pay with a check. (I know, who does that?) This shouldn't be allowed in this line. The lady was too lazy to fill out her own check and handed it to the cashier to insert into a machine that would do this. The machine ate the check. The cashier needed a manager but didn't seem to know how to summon one. I ended up grabbing my belongings and going to the self checkout. There, I was the third person in line to get up to one of the machines. My only complaint with the self checkouts, is that if you have a chip credit card, the credit card machine and readers are mounted so low that you will have to bend over at the waist completely to see where to put your card. As I was leaving I looked over to the speedy 20 items or less line, and the people that had the check eaten by the machine were still there at the checkout. I should also add that on the way out of the parking lot the same thing happened, I could only turn to the right so I had to go into the shopping center across the street, past the sexy store and back out. read more

This location has very limited selection on pretty much all of their inventory. Employees seem lost and always pass you on to someone else when you need any assistance. I went today on Black Friday for a case a of diapers and needed to change my son before leaving however the restrooms were both closed and I was told we were not allowed to use the employee restroom. Seriously? I can't use your employee restroom to change my sons diaper? I see now why no one likes Walmart. I will never visit Walmart again for anything i will drive the extra miles for Target. read more

First of all what the heck is the issue with the parking lot???? It's a maze to even try to get in/ out. Then inside the store there is no rhyme or reason nor any organization to anything. I get that it's an express Walmart, but there's no way to get in and out quick when you can't find anything. I had purchased 2 television mounts from Walmart. I had also purchased 2 installation cards from there. They use an outside service to do these. The Internet address is handy.com/walmart. The first time a man was sent by the name of Paul Scrivani. He said that he could do both TVs so I could cancel the second install. I did that and then explain to him exactly where I wanted the second tv in my bedroom. First he tried to talk me in to moving my dresser mirror and then let my tv on top of my dresser. This is NOT what I wanted or paid for. Then he hung my tv that it is hanging below my shoulders and it hits me when ever I walk by. He left with the wires hanging everywhere. He also used my private bathroom when he was told if he had to go, he was to use the guest bathroom. He was not professional at all. I will never have someone work for me that lies about the work he was supposed to be doing. If it was possible, I would give this guy a negative number read more
