I've been going to this Rite Aid for several years. My review is divided in 2 parts: Shop and the…read morePharmacy. Shop: it is really a place for emergency shopping only. Prices are over-inflated and obviously paying the rent. The stuff they sell is cheaper at Walmart. Some of my friends have told me that they follow the weekly mailers for sale/discounts and buy the items which have been marked down. Pharmacy: the pharmacists are all good, helpful. The problem I have is with the inventory. RiteAid leaves a voice message when the prescription is ready to be picked up. But the voice message does not say which of the multiple items on the order list is ready to be picked up and which ones are on order for next business day. So, the message is misleading. Several times, I've reached Riteaid after I've heard the message and found out that one of the medicines on the list is not available, they've ordered it and will be available next day. What that means is that I've to make another trip. In today's busy world, that is poor customer service.

This review is for the pharmacy only. I had a 3:30 appointment for the PCR testing. I arrived at…read more3:20 pm at the drive-through. However, there were written signs on both windows at the drive through, indicating that it was closed. So I went inside per instruction and waited in line at the pharmacy counter. There were 5 people in front of me. There was only 1 pharmacist and 1 nurse (?) who was administering shots. The pharmacy was obviously very behind in filling prescriptions. I overheard the conversation when the man in front of me was getting his turn. He submitted his prescription in the morning but was just now told it's not ready (almost 4pm). That he had to either wait for an hour or come back later. He said he'd wait. The pharmacist wasn't amused. He repeated in a rather rude tone that the medicine wouldn't be ready for anther hour and effectively asked the man to leave. I'd be very mad if I were that man. Anyway, it was finally my turn after waiting in line for 10-15 minutes. I told him I have an appointment for the PCR test. He denied me immediately, saying I shouldn't be inside for the COVID tests. I don't disagree but I had no choice, I was wearing double masks btw. He told me to go to the drive through. I reminded him that the drive through was closed. He said to go there and ring the bell. I wasn't thrilled to be given the run around but I duly went back out to the drive-through. I rang the bell, he answered and told me to wait because he had a lot of people in line. Of course, I was just in there and I knew there was a constant line. 10 minutes past. I rang the bell again. He reminded me that he's very busy. I told him that I had to pick up my son from school. He asked me to be patient. Finally another 5 minutes later, the "nurse" serviced my appointment. However, it was another good 10 minutes of waiting for the paper work! I don't understand -- if I had made the appointment online, included all my information and insurance details, why would it take 10 minutes to get ready to hand me the PCR test kit?! It took me less than 1 minutes to collect the sample once I was given the swab and the vial. By the time was I done, it was 4:10pm. I wasted a whopping 50 minutes of my life in frustration, and I was late to pick up my son. I know it was because this pharmacy wasn't staffed properly, but that's exactly the reason you should absolutely avoid this location. I would suggest CVS inside Target, or the CVS by the high school. I've always had good experience there.
