Don't bother, unless you like dealing with slow, rude employees. Their pricing is also significantly higher than surrounding locations.

Fox Meadows Creamery - Baked Fox

Stopped in with the family as we were in the area and wanted ice cream. Did not expect to have this…read moreand it was amazing! The service was so nice and friendly! Also they asked if it was our first time, cause I had to ask what should we get ? The let us try a sample of different flavors and the best shocker. I got a free drink ( coffee) for first time. The ice cream was really good!!! My kids loved it also! My wife who didn't want ice cream somehow ate half of mine when she tried it. We didn't get the food but it looked delicious. When we are back in the area we already said we will be trying the food next. Also cool factor, they have a big window that you can watch them make the ice cream. It does get crowded. Loved the seating in the place.

Fox Meadows is one of those places that just feels special! From the views at sunset to the smell…read moreof fresh waffle cones drifting through the air. Everything here, from their ice cream to their lunch menu, is consistently delicious and keeps us coming back again and again. The pumpkin roll Baked Fox with toasted oak and southern caramel ice cream is absolute perfection!! It's warm, creamy, and perfectly seasonal. Their sweet potato fries are a must-order every single time (and trust me, you have to get the honey mustard with them). The toasted cheeseburger is ooey, gooey, and ridiculously cheesy in the best way. Right now, they're even offering a free upgrade from chips to hand-cut fries, which is such a nice touch. And don't sleep on the red cream soda it's nostalgic and refreshing. It can get really packed, especially on weekends, but the line moves quickly and the staff keeps everything running smoothly. Between the playground for kids, heated porch seating, and cozy indoor area, there's a spot for everyone. Fox Meadows isn't just a creamery it's a staple in my local restaurant rotation. Great food, friendly faces, and the best kind of small-town charm.

Lickity Split - Patty melt with 1/2 sweet iced tea and 1/2 unsweetened iced tea

Our summer annual Lancaster County greenhouse shopping includes lunch at the gem of a restaurant,…read moreLickity Split, with their signature pickle soup. I did enjoy a burger special, the Patty Melt. Gail, our server, was personable, accommodating, and delightful. We also had the opportunity to speak with the charming owner, Gina, who shared the history of Lickity Split, which began with their ice cream truck. The dessert menu included dairy-free and sugar-free ice creams. If you are shopping in Lancaster County, you must dine at the quaint old-fashioned Lickity Split. You won't regret the food or service.

Stopped for an early dinner on my way through the Lancaster area. I opted to park around back in…read morethe paved parking lot behind the building. The entrance was very easy to locate. The inside of the restaurant is somewhat narrow, but long. They have a variety of seating available and I was put in a comfy booth towards the front. Both the employee working at the host stand and my server were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. My server said she had been there since she was 15 years old and seemed to have good report with the regulars. I ordered a small spring house salad with the dressing on the side and the cheesesteak stuffed pretzel. The stuffed pretzel was greasy and amazing in all of the ways a good Amish pretzel is. It had the right amount of salty and sweet and the cheesesteak filling was hot and gooey. The pickle and chips on the side added a nice crunch. The salad was fresh and loaded with toppings. I wished I had room for ice cream because all of the flavors in the case next to where I was seated sounded delicious, but I was too full. I asked for a rice krispie to go and it didn't let me down. It had a nice vanilla flavor and that fresh marshmallow-y pull in each bite. Prices were more than fair for the quality. The bathroom is outside in a separate building, but was also easy to locate and clean. I will be back to try some ice cream!

We stopped into Sweet Ride Ice Cream in Reading as the final stop on a date night, and honestly…read more.. it was the perfect way to end the evening. The vibe immediately pulls you in, classic 1950s ice cream parlor energy with a fun, nostalgic feel. One of the employees was even dressed in a white shirt and black bow tie, which totally fit the theme and added to the experience. They have a huge variety of flavors and options, so there's something for everyone. We came specifically for their Valentine's Day ice cream flight, and it did not disappoint. The flight included: * Cupid's Milk & Cookies * Raspberry Cheesecake * Red Velvet * Chocolate Covered Strawberry Every flavor was excellent, but raspberry cheesecake was the standout favorite rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also grabbed a kiddie size of white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious and worth ordering on its own. Because it was freezing out (a rare win), we took advantage of that and grabbed two kiddie sizes to go for my mom, knowing they wouldn't melt on the way home. They also had ice cream pies stocked in the freezer, plus homemade waffle cones and waffle bowls, which smelled incredible. The only downside and this has nothing to do with Sweet Ride themselves was parking. With all the snow piled everywhere, we missed a sign indicating a bus stop zone right in front of the shop and ended up with a $50 parking ticket from the borough. Lesson learned: parking in the area can be tricky, so just be extra mindful of signage, especially in winter. That aside, this was a five-star experience across the board. Fantastic ice cream, fun atmosphere, and a great overall experience. We'll absolutely be back just with better parking awareness next time. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Reading

First off, if you haven't been to West Reading, this area is a hidden Gem! Tons of great shops,…read morerestaurants and of course....Ice Cream! Sweet ride is serving up some great ice cream. Im not kidding there was about 40 flavors. They only charge 6.75 for a flight! We decided to get a flight with Raspberry Cheesecake, Hot Cocoa, Chocolate Marshmallow and Fluffernutter! The taste was incredible! Now what separates this place from the rest? Tons of seating, quick speed of service, the decor in here is incredible, neon signs, and tons of other merch to check out. They sell ice cream and Milkshakes for a year as gifts for others? How cool!
