A local guide had warned me that Fox Meadows Creamery had become very commercial. It was. Yet the ice cream was amazing. So that counts for a lot. When we arrived at around 7:30PM on a Monday night, the creamery and cafe was bustling with a long line. We were able to sample a few flavors, and then settled on the tiramisu and shoofly pie. Both were excellent, and the prices were highly affordable. There were so many appealing flavors of ice cream, not to mention other dessert items. Besides the rich, creamy, and wonderfully satisfying ice cream, we appreciated that the overall establishment had ample seating and a fantastic playground for our young kids. My toddlers loved swinging and playing in the toy tractor structure until way past dark. Compared to other local creameries in the area, Fox Meadow has the benefit of being open until relatively late. It appears that Fox Meadow Creamery has really expanded its business and now sells wholesale at local grocery stores. That said, there are of course more options and a better experience at the creamery itself. read more

This location is beautiful and very spacious. They have seating downstairs in various areas, upstairs seating with a lofty feel and also outside seating upstairs. They have lunch until about 2pm and we got to try it one of the times we visited and we were pleasantly surprised! We each got a 1/2 and 1/2 which could be 2 of a few choices such as 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 salad, and/or ice cream. We knew we would be getting ice cream separately so we decided to opt for 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salads. The chicken pesto sandwich was delicious! I am not usually a fan of grilled chicken, but this chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The salads were also good. We got one with fruit and the other with a chicken pesto. They have several different flavored ice creams as well as seasonal flavors. My husband really enjoyed the Madagascar vanilla (might be his favorite ever) and my favorite is the almond brickle. I also liked the grasshopper which was a minty flavor and there was a sorbet (maybe endless summer) that was very refreshing. The prices were right and the food and ice cream was delicious. I have been to hundreds of creameries and Fox Meadows is one of, IF NOT THE BEST, that I've ever experienced. First of all, the building is immaculate, contemporary, humongous, has two floors of seating, outdoor seating, a huge parking lot, and even a children's playground. Aside from also having a gift shop, they graphically explain how their ice cream is locally created and maintained. The staff members were very friendly, helpful, and gladly provided multiple requests to taste flavors. As I made my way through the long, but fast moving order line....I noticed a staff member making soft pretzels. As I saw the pretzels basking in their warmer, I had to order one. Boy, it was such a great decision! Each bite was buttery, soft, and thoroughly enjoyed. Now, onto the main event. I ordered the coffee and cookies and cream ice cream. I cannot totally describe just how good this was. Each spoonful was so creamy, smooth, and the portion was generous. There was no after taste and I could have had three more. The staff was super friendly. The shop is cute. Love the selection of ice cream and desserts- cookies at counter too. They also sell lemon curd for cheaper than kettle village. There is also some jams and spreads, jewelry, hair accessories. The lines fills up quickly but the staff is attentative and will let you sample flavors. We got an orange creamsicle milkshake and a cup with two scoops: blueberry cobbler and raspberry lemon sorbet. Blueberry cobbler had pieces of actual blueberry cobbler mixed in! The raspberry lemon sorbet was not overly tart and reminded me of a sour patch lemonade flavored candy in ice cream form. Yum! The milkshake had 4 scoops of ice cream mixed with milk and topped with whip cream. The desserts were so flavorful, fresh and not too sweet. I loved it so much we bought two half gallons to go! They have a few vegan options if you can't have dairy. Seating was plenty both inside and outside. There is an upper level with additional seating and a second level outside deck if you want to be outdoors. I wish they had more locations in neighboring states. The ice cream half gallon tubs survived our 3 hour car ride home. And if you didn't come prepared they do sell cooler bags and Tshirts! I am looking forward to stopping by again! read more

My absolute favorite place to go. They get busy, but the line goes quickly. The staff is always friendly, it's always clean, and the ice cream is the best. They always have special flavors for each season; although the almond butter brickle is always a go-to. The prices are fair. They also sell ice cream in containers you can take home, as well as items from local sellers, such as candles, coffee cups, and snacks. From what I could tell everything is locally sourced and made in house. It always smells so sweet when you walk inside, and they make the waffle cones in front of you! Shocked and amazed with their customer service and beautiful location! We saw their variety of unique flavors and wanted to give them a try. The staff were super accommodating and interested in hearing our thoughts of the flavors. My daughter made a mistake with her order and they immediately took it back and remade her ice cream order. It was super kind and helpful! My husband loved their foraged pine. We even bought a half gallon on our way out. It was his birthday and this treat really made his weekend. I love this place so much for FOOD and ICE CREAM. My go to order is the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. Their sweet potato fries are some of the best and freshest I've ever had. Burgers are good as well. Ranch for dipping is great. Big disappointment for me are the salads. They are expensive and extremely small. I wish they'd cost like $17-$20 and be in a huge bowl with a huge awesome portion of protein and just a delicious amazing huge salad. They could be such an amazing salad place. Seek inspo from Cheesecake Factory or something. Onto the ice cream - they are all amazing. They have a banana chocolate and raspberry chocolate one that's so good. The mint chocolate chip is great. Add two soft drinks bill came to $37.10. I added a 10% tip to that! Fries were great. I would rate the cheeseburger a four but they added some sort of sauce to the bun which was not noted on menu or asked about during the ordering process. This relatively new creamery/restaurant calls you in with it's promise of ice cream heaven. The building is beautiful and expansive. Inside is set up well with one line for food ( which showed a good selection) and one line for ice cream. I was there to try the ice cream. I was fresh off the Salt & Straw experience in Portland Oregon (tough act to follow). At Foxes the service exceeds excellent. Even before I actually ordered I loved the place. I got one scope of Salty Caramel Pretzel flavor in a waffle cone. The server offered to put a few Wilbur chocolates in it as part of a one scope treat. Definitely got those. I found the waffle cone above the norm. The ice cream did not rise to it's name's expectation. Good and enjoyable but just lacked that wow experience. All the workers have a great smile and pleasant can do attitude. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of parking. They also have a back room with tables.
