Saw a line going around the building and figured I had to give it a shot. Funny thing is, I thought the custard was just ok--a place that only offers three flavors of custard needs to knock it our of the park, and the vanilla scoop I got was merely decent. Definitely benefited from the caramel sauce (which they poked a hole in the ice cream for -- interesting delivery method). Honestly, I felt happy when I walked into Nikki's Custard. The employees cheerfully greeted me and asked how they could help. First time in, trying to get the lay of the land. I didn't realize that the soft serve was non-dairy and the custard, from the cartons was the dairy custard. Being used to soft-serve (eventhough they're prob the same), opted for that - a combination of vanilla and a cookie flavor. I inquired, can this be done and was informed it could. Yay! I was asked if I wanted to try the non-dairy and since it looked creamy, decided to give it a go, without trying. I was offered toppings and opted for the chocolate jimmies (my favorite). You know what, the soft-serve non-dairy, tasted just as good as the real mccoy! What a cute place! Service was fabulous - it was our first time visiting and the staff were very good about explaining our choices. My son had the mango and his GF enjoyed the special of the day - espresso chocolate chip. I had chocolate custard with a dark chocolate topping. Flavor was great and I would get it again unless the daily flavor was intriguing. I will go back again. They do close for a short period of time in February/march...it was mentioned on the menu board. The outdoor seating looked cute, but we visited in January on a rainy day so we just ate in our car. Came here for the first time and it was a good experience! The ladies working there are very friendly. The custard was super creamy! The flavors they had were chocolate and vanilla and their special flavor was chocolate chip cookie dough (though they were out of it when we got there around 8pm). There is a decent size parking lot. From the looks of it, it was a clean facility. Overall would recommend and will return...with friends! read more

This place is magical--the raspberry/mango swirl sorbet is easily one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Stopped for the first time, went inside, no indoor seating with AC, no public restrooms, a few folding, flimsy, low to the ground benches with umbrellas but still outside in the heat and humidity, heat from the paved surfaces and the side of the building. Custard choices were vanilla, chocolate, and raspberry with chocolate chips which were so many mini chips that it overwhelmed the soft, smooth, creamy custard. A dip plus a double dip cost just under $10. Tried it but would not return even though we really love custard. read more
