Such an adorable store! So many candies. Stroopies and ice cream flavors to choose from! We came about 30 minutes prior to closing after dinner which was so nice since they stay open later than some other sweet shops. There's enough seating on the side for a few tables and it looked like they had a hidden outdoor option in the back! Will def come back to explore! The line was pretty long on a Saturday night but moved at a good pace. You can tell it's a local and tourist fave for sure.

Such a cute store! They have a great selection of chocolate, stroopwaffles, and ice cream. I'd definitely come back!

Delicious caramel stroop waffle espresso ice cream! I wanted to buy all of the things, but I decided on just ice cream and it was worth it!

The Oreo Espresso Caramel is absolutely delicious! Everyone was so kind and greeted me as soon as I walked in. They answered all my questions and had such a great attitude the whole time. Definitely recommend!

I looked up on Yelp: ice cream and this place came up and did Not disappoint. It's an adorable sweets shop in town with super delicious ice cream. In my party we got vanilla, mint chocolate chip and my fave chocolate peanut butter. All creamy and delicious. Short line, pleasant staff. Highly recommend!!

Cute quintessential sweet shop in Lancaster. Ice cream, candies and stroopies. Lovely service and generous scoops at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Ice cream, stroopwafels, cookies, and more! This place has all the sweets one could ask for. We went here with our family from Ocean City MD and our nephew Alex loved it! Lots of good flavors of ice cream in a fresh waffle cone or cup, and sprinkles if you want them. The stroopies are all dipped in different types of chocolate and some are stacked up. Crazy good. Parking is a little challenging, but they have a back entrance off a small parking lot that many don't know about. We will be back! Try it you'll like it!

That said, Ma'am, you might prefer your stroopies melted and in crumbs, but I don't. I like to eat the food the way I bought it.

The cashier was not friendly at all. Very harsh if you ask me. I've always enjoyed coming to the Reading Terminal. The day k purchased a stroppie from them on March 23, 2025, it was around 50 degrees outside. By the time I got home, to NY the whole stoopie melted and stuck to the plastic packaging. Which btw, why do you use plastic if you advertise yourself as sustainable business? Just in case they're going to say that it was hot in my car, I'm a person who likes the cold and keeps her AC at a temperature below 68 at all times Anyways, back to the purchase that I made. I bought this $3.75+tax stroppie and I was really looking forward to having it, as it reminds me of my past and someone I loved. Not to be petty, but this experience was ruined so it became a matter of principal for me to contact the shop. I contacted Stroopies Inc. they we-directed me to contact the Sweet Shoppe. So I did. This is the response that I received. Tell me if I'm wrong, but in my opinion this could have been handled differently by the business. I still ate it, but the whole experience that I was looking forward to so much was ruined. There's so little pleasure that I have these days in my life and you have definitely stripped me of this one.

We come here at least once a month to get ice cream and have never once had a bad experience. The flavors are fantastic and the portions are hefty (but no complaints here)! My favorite ice cream flavor is the Espresso Oreo Caramel and the Mint Oreo is a close second! They also make sundaes with their stroopie pieces on top which is incredible. All around, great service, incredible ice cream and a great patio area in the back to enjoy ice cream during warmer months! Another bonus is they have fudge, candy and stroopies for sale in the front portion of the store - nothing beats buying a 5 pack of stroopies and having them for a snack with your morning coffee during the work week!

Very unique sweet shop a must stop

This is a very nice Place to take care of that sweet tooth. From the moment you enter you are surrounded by chocolates and ice cream. They also have local crafts on display. The place is very big and also has searing all the way outside in the back. Looks almost like a garden. The only thing if anyone is Dairy Free there is not options. But they was kind enough to point us to a place one block away that had dairy free options. So I took my wife to get her non-Dairy ice cream and I returned to get my ice cream. I 1000% recommend this place.

Very cute shop and also very reasonably priced!! A cappuccino in the $3 range is unheard off lol. I'm not from this area so may that is why haha but not only was it affordable, it was also very good. The perfect ratio of milk foam and espresso! Added a little bit of simple syrup and it's a great cup! Very satisfied haha. Also got the mini dip ice cream. That was like $2 or something!!!! I'm not use to these prices. The mini dip ice cream is not mini, in my opinion. It was a great size. Granted, I came here after having a Nashville chicken sandwich, half a deluxe cheesesteak and some curly fries but regardless, if I am back in the area, I would stick with the mini dip. Ohh and the actual ice cream tasted yummy. I got the strawberry. It reminded me of a strawberry milkshake I use to have as a kid growing up haha great place with plenty of offerings!!! A must go!!!!

One of the best ice cream spots in the area. Great selection of rotating flavors with the option to pick up some stroop waffles while you're there. Back patio is a great spot to enjoy your dessert!

Enchanted space in the back with the lights and beautiful brick floor.

I was dad of the year since I never take them to candy shops! But what I found was just so great about this place was the unique offerings. It's a family tradition to make gingerbread houses and I found all the old time candy I used to decorate the gingerbread houses with my mom. They have ribbon candy, and just about any kind of candy you can think of. They also have clear toy candy, which is a very old type of candy that is very rare to find. I spent a near fortune getting clear toy candy at an old time shop in Philadelphia last year. And loved the selection this shop had. It still wasn't cheap but nowhere near what I paid in Philly! My kids couldn't help but pick out some candy for themselves and I got 2 bags of gummy candy that was about the freshest gummies I've ever had. Lastly, the shop has a really fun throwback of those quarter dispensers where you can put in the coins and get either a handful of candy or a toy. My kids were less interested in this. But it brought back memories for me of growing up in PA, and seeing these machines at all the local grocery stores. This shop is fantastic and I hope they continue to thrive.

Since it's been some time since I last shopped here, it was a treat browsing all the vendor stands and seeing what foods are available. As a garden/flower enthusiast, you know I had to check out the flower stands like Perfect Pots and Inspirational Blossoms, both with fresh blooms. For lunch, after a taste test, I opted for Soulcialze, which provided generous portions of mac n cheese, collards, beef brisket, and cornbread. Tables are provided for lunch or snacks, but we had to wait a few minutes because none were available. At Lancaster Central, you can expect a friendly atmosphere in this beautiful historic building, where the local community shops and supports. That's because on our visit, three of the parking garages bordering the market were full, and by the time we found street parking (you'd better polish up your parallel parking skills) it was close to a 30-minute stroll to this historic landmark. The market goes way back--all the way to 1730--when local farmers rolled into town with whatever they'd harvested and sold it in what was then just an open field in the center of the growing community. Today, it is home to over 65 vendors selling fruits & vegetables, meats, poultry, fish & cheeses, fresh baked bread, pretzels, pierogis, handmade dishes, smoothies, flowers, hot coffee, sweet treats, and even pickles. We had a blast wandering through the crowded aisles and picking up a few odds and ends. If you love jerky and meat sticks (as I do), you will walk out with a ton of goodies (as I did).
