I visited back in July 2024, and again a few days ago September 20204. My first time was good. No issues. But, my second time, most recent time was awesome. The staff were so helpful, kind and knowledgeable about their products. They offered numerous samples which is awesome. It's hard to pick can when you have never tried it. It also nice to try something new. The store was clean. I appreciate the new layout. It can be overwhelming picking out what candy to put in your bucket. A fun little stop for some obscure candies. We were greeted by a friendly employee as soon as we entered, who was more than happy to search for candies or help navigate the choose your own process. We ended up filling the pint sized container, the largest they had on the shelf, and it cost around $23. Most of the candy was fresh, though I'm no imported candy connoisseur, so I can't speak to whether any was substantially off-flavor. I visited on a whim on 3/15/25. There's a nice selection of unusual and interesting candy, & other Swedish food items. I was interested in looking at some of the herring & cheese that was behind the counter in the cooler, and it took awhile to get someone to notice me. The gentleman who did eventually come over was not particularly friendly or helpful; very short answers, without much knowledge (about the products) or willingness to find out, and all without a smile. Super cute and fun experience. You will find one of a kind treats. I would start in the back of the store and work your way up. Circle the candy selection and do a preview first. Then grab your container and shovel and have at it. I would suggest 2 containers - one for sour choices and one for non sour. It's great that you can just grab the amount you want. We liked it because you could get a little of everything since we never had this type of candy before. Super cool to have a buffet of choices. This review is for an online order I placed on February 28th (I have not physically been to the store). I decided to place an order since Sweetish had a good selection and noted that their processing time was only 12-15 business days (due to the recent popularity of Swedish candy on TikTok). I waited until after business day #15 had passed to give it a fair shot, since even on the 15th day, it would still be true to what was listed on the website. After that, I sent a kind email to the team asking if they had an updated estimate of when my order would be shipped, as the listed time had passed. Shelly replied with what I assume to be a copy-and-pasted message letting me know that the current processing time was 12-15 days. I replied and asked my question again, noting again that my order was already past the 15 day mark. She replied and told me that she didn't have an update, so I asked to cancel my order as I was expecting it weeks ago, and now I don't know if I'll be in town when it arrives. They also sometimes post on their Instagram mentioning that there will be an email update to customers, but I have never received an email from them, other than my order confirmation and the conversation with Shelly. I totally understand that they must be swamped with orders, but they should at least update the people who have already handed their money over with a quick email and/or Instagram post. They also are ignoring all of the people asking questions online their Instagram comments, and only replying to compliments, so we know they're seeing the comments, but just refusing to update anyone. read more

The estimated delivery date on the confirmation was March 19th. Well, we never received a tracking number and have not received the candy order. Such a fun & unique spot in Lancaster! Their large selection of candy & snacks from Scandinavia is impressive. A micro cafe at the entrance offers Swedish coffee, lattes, & other seasonal beverages. There is a small seating area, perfect for hanging out & reading a book or catching up with a friend. While visiting, I tried their seasonal Swedish drink 'hygge', a coffee & milk of your choice with cardamom syrup, topped with cinnamon sugar. It was absolutely delicious & the employee who attended us was very friendly & knowledgable. Unfortunately, my first impression was unfavorable. They have a handicapped entrance with a doorbell. I stood in the rain repeatedly pressing it to no avail. Finally I used the steps. A couple who were leaving told me that they told a male employee I was trying to get in, but he ignored them. I guess it was the end of his shift. The girl at the register said she did not hear the bell. I enjoyed the store, & the girl at the register was apologetic & helpful. There is lots of candy. They also have T-shirts & other swag. I responded telling them to please replace the 5 with something similar, and they agreed. It is now August 23rd...8 weeks after placing my order. I emailed them today canceling. There are lots of varieties and each bucket has a description so you don't get too lost on what you may eat. It's amusing to see all the varieties of hard candy, chocolate, and gummy items. I wanted to get some Ski Queen cheese but it was several months expired. I mentioned that to the clerk and his reply was that it was on sale. Very strange. They are up front that you can buy slightly outdated candy assortments at a steep discount but selling months out dated dairy sounds like a bad idea and a recipe for mold. You can't see it through the opaque packaging. Why keep selling it? Is that even legal? I ordered from them because they had great reviews on their Swedish candy, and seemed to have a quick turnaround. I ordered on 2/29, and my confirmation said they had an 8-12 day handling time. I didn't receive any other contact from them until 4/18 when my order shipped. I checked their website periodically to see if there were any updates on their shipping time, and they were still advertising an 8-12 day turnaround until about a week before my order shipped, when they finally updated the shipping time to 3-4 weeks (though I never received a personal update). I can certainly have patience for a business that's receiving an overwhelming influx of orders, but this was really frustrating with a complete lack of communication and wild false advertising in delivery estimates. I did finally receive my order on 4/20, and honestly...it was disappointing. I recently purchased almost $75 of candy from this merchant for the Easter holiday. Almost all of the gummies were stale and hard and the chocolate bloomed with rancid nuts. I wrote to them and sent them proof of purchase and explained my experience. I did not request a refund, I simply wanted to make them aware so that it wouldn't happen to anyone else. They never even gave me a response. No apology, no explanation, and certainly no regard to loss of money on my behalf. While I love European candy, and usually bring it home every time I travel, it saddens me that I have to leave this review. Bloomed chocolate is very easy to identify because it turns white.
