I was dad of the year since I never take them to candy shops! But what I found was just so great about this place was the unique offerings. It's a family tradition to make gingerbread houses and I found all the old time candy I used to decorate the gingerbread houses with my mom. They have ribbon candy, and just about any kind of candy you can think of. They also have clear toy candy, which is a very old type of candy that is very rare to find. I spent a near fortune getting clear toy candy at an old time shop in Philadelphia last year. And loved the selection this shop had. It still wasn't cheap but nowhere near what I paid in Philly! My kids couldn't help but pick out some candy for themselves and I got 2 bags of gummy candy that was about the freshest gummies I've ever had. Lastly, the shop has a really fun throwback of those quarter dispensers where you can put in the coins and get either a handful of candy or a toy. My kids were less interested in this. But it brought back memories for me of growing up in PA, and seeing these machines at all the local grocery stores. This shop is fantastic and I hope they continue to thrive.

Went on a Thursday at 12:30 about half an hour after opening. Maybe thats why they didn't have much. I managed to get the non perils. Out of the mint creams and they had empty boxes for the advent calendar but didn't offer to fill one and said they were out. I got the non perils and left. Then I looked online about ordering since the others weren't in stock and it says they're not taking orders at this time. It's a shame and they might not last much longer.

I found this place sells not just jellybeans but lots of other candies that are weighted. They sell candy you can hand pick or prepackaged bulk candy. They also sell regular candy items you also see in grocery stores. I met the owner, John, on my visit and he was so personable and kind. Really welcoming! This was my second visit through Litiz, PA and was glad to have had time to stop in. Wilbur factory, located across the street is no longer in operation , since 2016. The factory was turned into a hotel with restaurants in 2019. The hotel esthetics were kept from the factory, with a few other artifacts, the walk across the street is highly recommended. Wilbur , chocolate shop simply gourmet since 1884. Their signature , is their Wilbur buds, which when I first tried them thought were for baking. Wow, was I wrong, the helpful clerk told me they were for eating. Wilbur buds reminded me of Hershey kisses, but 100 percent better, based on ones palet. Inviting atmosphere, where your able to see chocolate production, taste test, shop and watch a video on the coco history of Wilbur. A must visit.

My 4 year old accidentally bumped into one as she was walking and it fell, didn't break, but the top came off and spilled. I jokingly said she owed me as in now had to pay for that bottle as I assumed they would simply write it off like most businesses would when there's an accidental break. Instead one of the workers simply said "yeah you do!" in an extremely entitled and rude manner. Perhaps she was an owner, I have no idea. She disappeared and we never saw her again. We were them forced to pay for the soda. We were discounted 50% but it's still ridiculous. Maybe don't put bottles on the bottom shelf where little kids can easily bump into them.
