We attended a cupcake class recently. We were disappointed overall. The pace of instruction, went very fast and not always instructing the steps. 6 detailed cupcakes in 45 minutes is too fast! Also, the table where instructor was couldn't easily view for everyone. It was taller compared to where we sat and you couldn't see her decorating very well. Also, feel there should be at least another person to help other than just the instructor. We had to share icing between 4 people per table which also made it difficult to keep up. Until everyone got to do their cupcake, instructor was moving onto next cupcake. Don't plan on going again. read more

I mean what's a vegan to do in a shop like this? Apparently, eat. Lancaster Cupcake had four items on the menu that were both vegan and gluten free. When I say four items, I'm not talking about typical plain Jane flavors like vanilla or chocolate. I'm talking flavors like Cookies and Cream, Santa's Milk and Cookies, Strawberry Champagne and Peanut Butter and Fudge. As I was trying to decide on one, the Store Manager informed us that we could get one, four, six or a dozen cupcakes. We selected the half dozen option and purchased one of each vegan flavor. My wife grabbed two regular cupcakes, which the manager packed separately so there was no confusion. She even placed a fun little vegan sticker on the vegan cupcake container. These cupcakes were moist and creamy. They had great flavor and consistency the whole way through. They held up nicely to being frozen. The cupcakes were not cheap, but the price was comparable to other vegan baked goods I've purchased in other cities. This was the cutest little shop that I've been to! Between the cupcakes and the perfectly curated party goods to the little seating nooks, it's a pink party wonderland!
