It's been a few years since I was down in Lancaster and had the opportunity to stop by Prince St., Café. I was in the area for work and decided to stop by for lunch. I enjoyed the bowl with falafel as well as some good old-fashioned chicken corn soup! Both were filling and delicious! The café is lots of fun and everything you'd expect from a downtown café. Back again recently and have to share just how wonderful this cafe is. The service is so friendly. I came here with my son and he accidentally knocked his entire glass of milk all over the table, window, my jacket, and seemingly just about everywhere in that cafe. The worker at the register didn't hesitate and got out the mop and towels and cleaned it up within minutes. I didn't even have to ask, and he said they'd of course get him another glass of milk. I was impressed and the server was just a kid himself, and was truly so nice. I spent about another hour here and ordered several more items. The coffee was tasty. The food was good and the vibe was relaxing. I love the floor to ceiling windows that bring in the natural light. The place was packed and had such a good energy. We'll keep coming back! read more

We enjoyed our late breakfast at this casual cafe! I tried the special Horchata latte- flavorful and not too sweet, and the ham and cheese breakfast burrito. I loved the inclusion of garlic aioli! This would have been a five-star review, but my friend's soup came out completely cold. The staff was very apologetic and quickly warmed it for her. Otherwise, the food and drinks were delicious. Came here because the wait line at Rachel's Crepe Shop was way too long! We loved it here! Great menu selection and it's very casual. The guy at the register was super nice and the hardest part was waiting for a table to open up! Our drinks came out as soon as we sat down. It's almost as if they were watching us to see when we grabbed a table to get our drinks going. Grateful if they really did that. The sandwiches and the açaí bowl came out soon thereafter. Stopped in for a mid-day coffee and snack. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. The staff were friendly and prompt. We ordered a small drip coffee, a chai latte, and a slice of the chai banana bread. There's a self serve bar area for creamer, sugar/sugar alternatives, cinnamon, etc. for your hot coffee. There's a water station located by those supplies, as well. The chai latte came out within 5-10 minutes of ordering and was hot, creamy, and frothy. The chai banana bread was sweeter than expected, but moist and topped with some walnut pieces. The seating area is very brightly lit, with huge windows off the street and high ceilings. There is one unisex bathroom and it was moderately clean, but out of paper towels. read more

Honestly I thought this place was just ok. We went early on a Saturday it was not crowded and we ordered an iced tea, a couple coffees, and 3 sandwiches. There were no other people in front of us but we had to wait ages for our food. My family said the coffee was good but the iced tea was bitter and there were ground tea leaves floating in it. The sandwiches were decent. I think it was quite expensive for the quality of what we got and not worth waiting for. read more

We visited on our way out of Lancaster following a wedding, and we had a solid breakfast. The place is large and nicely decorated with plenty of seating available. I loved all the plant decor and modern vibes! You order at the counter and then retrieve your food to bring to you seat. The menu was large enough that you easily find an item no matter what your preferences or dietary restrictions. My husband and I opted for the sweet & savory BEC, and my sister went for the cali egg wrap. The BEC was solid - really liked the carmelized onion jam and paprikia to give it that sweetness, and the encasement on a poppy bun was a unique touch. However, the bun felt a little overwhelming for the amount of content on the actual sandwich - maybe I just got a scant serving, but it felt like there should have been more egg or bacon or something to fill up the space. Regardless, the flavors were there, just maybe needed something a little extra. My husband felt the same way. My sister enjoyed her wrap, really liking the pesto and kale accompanying the egg whites. We all got coffee to supplement our breakfast, which was solid but standard. Overall, Prince Street Cafe was a good breakfast spot to visit in Lancaster! This is for sure a hidden gem. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had without a doubt. Chicken was crispy, juicy and perfectly seasoned. There are a bunch of options in the area, but Prince Street checked off all boxes: -Ample seating -Strong WiFi -Lots of outlets (essential during a long coffee shop day) -Iced coffee with free refills -A large menu with lots of sweet + savory options to satisfy a breakfast, lunch and snack craving -Plenty of parking nearby -Reasonable prices I'm happy to report that all of the above really does exist here. This is a great spot to post up and work remotely for a few hours while staying well fed + caffeinated. For my meal I ordered a chicken quesadilla. It had a red pepper spread inside which was really interesting, and came with fresh pico and sour cream for dipping. My friends both ordered a breakfast bowl which came loaded with a ton of breakfast fixings (home fries, onions, peppers, eggs, cheese, bacon) and they really enjoyed it. This place is so good! My second time there and will always go there for breakfast whenever I'm in Lancaster. Both times I got the Home Fry Bowl and a cafe au lait. The bowl is so good and filling and the cafe au lait reminds me of being in Paris, so flavorful and in a big mug! What a gem of a coffee shop! The quality & freshness of both the drinks and the food are top-notch! I ordered a gluten-free Cali Turkey Sandwich and a chai latte with pistachio milk. Yum! The barista recommended I order a larger chai a mellow flavor. I prefer my chai stronger in spice & flavor, so next time I'll order a small one. I love that there are gluten-free and vegan options, for those of us with allergies/sensitivities. The cashier was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We had an excellent breakfast at Prince Street Cafe. The pastries are wonderful and the coffee is incredibly good. There is no substitute for the wonderful mouth feel you get from drinking coffee from a ceramic cup. You can refill your cup with brewed coffee from the urn. read more
