Yesterday I ordered the English breakfast, which was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful that I had to give it a second go! This plate is brimming with absolutely delightful flavors, textures, and colors. I love that it is chock full of protein and less sugary options. The wheat toast was even incredible and one of the best toasts I've ever tasted. Today my daughter had the Banana Foster French toast and cleared her plate in the blink of an eye. When I asked her if she liked it, especially the homemade caramel sauce drizzle she could only give me a thumbs up sign because she was eating it so quickly. The coffee and chai teas were hot, fresh, and flavorful. We both loved our selections and would vote for them over other available coffee/tea establishments. I loved the cinnamon flavor, which again was perfectly balanced without being too sweet or too seasoned. Each of the elements is seasoned to perfection without being overpowering. It is served hot off the grill with a friendly smile. The staff is friendly and attentive without hovering. I truly appreciate and enjoy the pleasant and engaging conversation. The interior is clean, organized, and has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is on the smaller side; however, it is well maintained and laid out so you don't feel like you are crowded with other patrons. I highly recommend giving this place a go. I look forward to returning again in the not too distant future to try some other options of their delectable menu. (And I will certainly suggest this as an option for future business and mentorship meetings as the table seating provides for intimate conversations without competing with loud music and other din or awkwardly projecting your voice across long tables. (If you do decide to give it a try, it can be a bit tricky to locate. There are also plenty of startup companies that have established there place in the markets; Grandma's, Famous Amos, Mrs. Field and the list goes on and on the fore mentioned brands aren't a bad option and I guest could be considered premium cookies when compared to those prepackaged by elves and the most famous chocolate chip cookies who's mascot was a live-action superhero named Mort Meek, the odds that you haven't eaten these are practically zero. It seems all those cookies incorporated the famous chocolate morsel back in the day and most are created through engineered processes that have been totally automated and requires very little human intervention except of course the FQS departments who conducts the shelf life studies to ensure they can sit in the warehouses and grocery store shelves much longer the the cookies you mom created at home. Well let me reassure you all pre-packaged cookies aren't created equal - Sweet Street has seemed to have found a niche and probably stands alone for the most part at least until the next entrepreneur trumps them. I doubt if most consumers know what goes into the majority of the mechanically engineered cookies we have been eating for decades and although labeling has gotten so much better unless your a chemist you probably don't know what the ingredients are - I love the fact that Sweet Street has explained things - real butter dough - cage free eggs - non GMO's - no artificial additives it seems pretty simple to me and believe me the quality shows, they are big enough to share and are filled with big chunks of sustainable chocolate. There was a bigger seating area that I did not take a picture of. There was a-lot to choose from on the menu and everything sounded great. Our food was delicious. We had many different dishes and everything was great. We will definitely be back. We had plenty to take home and we will have enough for two more meals. The restrooms were clean. I had thousands of dollars available in my account, so I don't know why the card was declined. I understand that sometimes card transactions can have technical issues. What really upset me was the way the manager handled the situation. Instead of politely asking me if I had another form of payment, he rudely told me to come inside because he had a "long line." In reality, there was only one car behind me. Because of his rude and disrespectful attitude, I felt the need to show him my available balance on my account to make it clear that the declined transaction had nothing to do with me not having enough money. I should never have been put in a position where I felt I had to prove that. I do want to recognize A.T., the young lady who took my order. She was kind, respectful, and professional, and she even apologized for the way her manager behaved. I truly appreciated her kindness and the way she handled the situation. This experience also made me think: What if I didn't have another card with me? What if this happened to someone who genuinely didn't have enough money in their account? No customer should be made to feel embarrassed or humiliated because a card transaction was declined. A manager should know how to handle situations like this professionally and respectfully. A simple, "I'm sorry, your card didn't go through. Do you have another form of payment?" would have been enough. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their financial situation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and recognizes A.T. for her excellent customer service while addressing the manager's behavior.
