The spot I grew up going to. Every time I visit home, I have to stop in. The ice cream is so delicious. My favorite is the peanut butter parfait - perfect layers of fudge, peanut butter sauce, and topped off with a peanut butter cup. The staff is always nice and quick. No places to sit, so you have to take it to go, but it's so worth it. read more

In the fall they make pumpkin pie flurry. There is no artificial taste and the ice cream and the crust balance is perfection. It's a drive thru especially in the fall. read more

Saw this place driving by and from the outside it looks like a cool spot. I Bucked a u turn and pulled into the lot. I pulled into the lot and got out only to realize there is a drive through without a sign. They should fixed this. I looked at the menu and the prices caught me off guard. This place is waaayyyy too expensive for the mediocre dessert. I ordered the hot fudge brownie without the fudge. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd get a cold brownie that was pretty hard for $8.00. Nowhere near enough brownie for the ice cream that came with it. I ended up giving it to my daughter. She ordered some soft serve ice cream. A cup of soft serve ice cream for $4 when McDonald's has it for less than $2 and possibly better is crazy. Overall I spent $20 for ice cream and a milkshake. Complete waste of time. The service was GREAT though hence the 2 stars. I won't be returning no matter how sweet my tooth is. read more

Cute local place for soft serve and Italian ices (or water ices as Bell's calls them). Bell's is a drive through, but you can walk up to the window as well. 16 year old and I placed our order at the window. The teenagers working there were friendly and helpful. Besides the usual cones and cups, you can order sundaes, shakes, and flurries. 16 year old ordered a "Gelati"- layers of water ices and vanilla soft serve. I ordered a cup of chocolate hazelnut water ice. The soft serve was okay, (soft and creamy but honestly, not much vanilla flavor. The chocolate water ice had a delicious rich chocolate flavor. A local Rita's or Jeramiah's type of place I would return to if in the area. read more

Bell's Delites - a checkered floor and a checkered counter - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Parkesburg, Pennsylvania

We've been twice now, the milkshakes are absolutely amazing! Their ice cream is fine, a bit pricey but so is everyone's these days. My biggest hesitation in giving it 4 stars is the lack of ice cream flavors. For the milk shakes there are a decent variety of flavors, but they are achieved by adding fruit or sauce to vanilla ice cream, so if you want a milk shake you're in good company, but if you want a flavor of ice cream outside of the classic choices you are out of luck. They do have a flavor swirl option where they add sauce to your ice cream but it varies. I added the Strawberry and it was quite good, my fiance added the cappuccino and the flavor was so light it tasted almost exactly like plain vanilla. Update: Stopped by tonight for some treats and was sadly disappointed. If you are going to have a "hot" fudge sundae on your menu then you need to have HOT fudge, otherwise its just a fudge sundae. I was expecting nice warm fudge slightly melting my ice cream, but instead I got room temperature goop that made for a very unpleasant experience. If it was listed as a fudge sundae I would have never ordered it, and the prices are too high to not accurately list your items. Since you seem to be confused allow me to help you: "The hot fudge sundae is a variation on the classic sundae and is often a creation of vanilla ice cream, sprinkles, hot chocolate sauce (hence the "hot fudge")" source Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundae read more

I basically only come here because it's the only ice cream place in town... besides Dairy Queen. It's super expensive, we're talking like $30 for me and three kids to get cones. The service is ALWAYS pretty backed up and slow. I really want to like it, so we usually give it a try a couple times every summer... read more

I've asked numerous times when I've ordered a gelati to not put so much ice cream.. the workers need to be taught how to actually make these. Unfortunately I'm at the point that my family and I won't be returning. It's too expensive to not actually get what you order. read more

Bell's Delites - Supposed to be a gelati.... Not - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Parkesburg, Pennsylvania

Just happened to be passing through on a roadtrip and stopped by on a whim for the pumpkin pie milkshake. Got a large which was $8 but genuinely humongous (split between me and my mom and we didn't finish it all the way). It was honestly one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. The woman who served us was very nice and prepared the shake perfectly. They even have fresh, REAL whipped cream which is thick and creamy and delicious. Definitely worth a stop at least for their current seasonal delights, I think there was real pumpkin pie filling in our shake! I'm surprised by the negative reviews I would love to have something this unique and quality local to myself. read more

Came here for the first time on a weekend afternoon. We ordered the pumpkin pie flurry and the peanut butter parfait. Total was around $11. What's hot - Location. It's around a pretty common intersection around other gas stations. Drive thru. Convenient and helpful - Menu options. There are sweet and savory options. For example, they have ice cream/frozen yogurt options, hot dogs, etc... Pretty nice that you can get both. - Quality. Delicious. The peanut butter parfait had good peanut butter, caramel sauce, and a whole peanut butter cup. My pumpkin pie flurry had graham cracker bits in it, which gave it extra crunch. My pumpkin pie flurry didn't taste too much like pumpkin pie, though. It was mostly vanilla ice cream with graham cracker bits, some cinnamon and whipped cream. I probably wouldn't get the pumpkin pie flurry again, but would recommend the peanut butter parfait. - Price. $11 for two ice cream options. Not too expensive. Reasonable. What's not - Menu layout. Their menu is on tv screens that sometimes change. That means it's difficult to view the screens because of the glare. - Physical Layout. There are no sit down options around, like a few tables and chairs. We were originally standing around then went to our car and turned on the ignition to get some AC. Granted, it's not a restaurant, but there isn't any place to just sit down, chill, n enjoy your treats. Inconvenient. Final answer Willing to come back, but probably not a first choice. read more

I love my regular drives from Chester County to places in the south - Baltimore, DC and others. And I like those drives even more when I can stop at Bell's Delites. Forget going to un-Friendly's! Come here! We found out about this great place from Walmart greeter Nancy. We had 2 large soft serve sundaes with whipped topping, hot fudge and cherries. Brain freeze plus, but they were fabulous! Very nice servers at drive through...not like un-Friendly's.Oh so reasonable in price and a nice menu. read more

Soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes...Bonus, Bell's got a nice little makeover. The lighting alone on the signs make you crave ice cream! Family owned and operated, this place has been killin it for 10+ years! If you're ever in the region of the incredibly large borough of Parkesburg (about 1 mile) you probably definitely need ice cream. My own testimony- I wanted a small cone dipped in chocolate with sprinkles. DQ tells me, sorry can't do that, the sprinkles won't stick to the chocolate. Bell's on the other hand gives it to me in a cup with my cone on the side. Bang bang, this customer is satisfied! Scientific conclusion : ice cream makes everyone's day better. read more

I drive place this place all the time when traveling to PA and was so excited to finally give it a try. We did the drive thru and was greeted nicely be the server and she explained some of the menu. I love Bell's. It's your standard soft serve joint, but there's just something about the occasional sundae topped with diabetes-inducing syrups that warms your soul...or cools it down depending on how hot it is. Honestly, it's right near the Parkesburg train station too...so their sundaes and flurries may have been my dinner on occasion when I get home late (they do have hotdogs, BBQ sandwiches, etc. too). read more

Ice cream is okay. Just standard soft serve. Prices are a little high. Got my ice cream tonight and it was a little soupy. Got a flavor blast and could not really taste it. I would eat it again, but I wouldn't say it's anything special. read more

Local soft serve place that also offers water ice and some light food options. Friendly service and tasty soft serve. Good sundae options, I like the peanut butter one myself. Walked up to order, couldn't see menus because of the sun glare. Stood there to order 2 ladies inside one younger one older, looked at us, kept talking without any acknowledgment. My son knocked on window turned and looked at us still did not acknowledge us. Really good local spot for ice cream. Newly renovated. Prices are high. But name a place that doesn't have high prices for ice cream.

Let's just say I'm extremely upset. I order a banana split with NO NUTS when I was going through the drive-thru. When I got home, I found NUTS in my daughter's ice cream. Who is, by the way, highly allergic to? How hard it is to follow simple directions? If I didn't look at the ice cream first my 5-year-old could have died. I'm never coming back to this place again. read more

Went to buy my kids ice cream cones and for a kids size was charged 2.99 plus a .90 up charge for flavor burst - which you could not even taste! So for 5 kid size ice creams it was over $21! There wasn't even three spoonfuls of ice cream. Very disappointed. read more

I used to like this place but the prices have gone up and portions have gone down. I wondered when I drive by there is no lines now I know when the other night I got a puny size small cone for 3.85! The ice cream was runny too not thick style soft serve which means they put too much water in the mix.
