As it turns out and amazing coincidence, I just wrote my 2 most eastern Yelp reviews in the state of MD. Never had one further east of these locations in MD like in Elkton, Ocean City, Salisbury, etc. I visited Rise N Grind Cafe on a Friday in September 2022. I was going up to Newark, DE to visit my parents for a night at a hotel for a mushroom festival in Kennett Township on that Saturday. I managed to get a parallel parking right in front of the store in the small downtown Rising Sun. I wifi at this cute coffee shop as I had some work on that Friday. I had a delicious coffee, and I think a tuna salad sandwich, which was delicious. The staff was friendly too, and they were efficient. I comfortably got my work done. Unfortunately, I didn't take a pic of my food, but I took pics of other aspects of the cafe itself. If I ever end up back in Rising Sun, I'd come back here!

If the ice cream shop hours were also listed, it would be fine. Most of the young girls at the counter aren't very personable. There was a girl that was darker, maybe Hispanic or Hawaiian, and she was very nice. She helped me at the end because my sundae was melting onto the counter. Tonight I got a brownie sundae for $8.75. As always, there were only two flavors with a chocolate base. The one was just chocolate, and the other was almost identical-chocolate with two additional ingredients. Not enough. The girls NEVER-EVER put enough of the toppings on! Frustrating! Also, I told the one that waited on me that I wanted nuts, and she hadn't put them on. Glad I noticed! I FINALLY found out tonight that you can have as many of the toppings you'd like on the brownie sundae. You're not charged for extras-even extra hot fudge, etc. The containers the brownies are in are what the sundaes are put in. They're too small!! I asked for extra hot fudge, and that had to be put in a separate cup. Glad I did because she barely had any on the sundae. I went outside to eat my sundae because everything was dripping out of the container. As I was finishing up, a mouse ran right by me and stayed on the patio. When I got to my car a few minutes later, the outside lights were turned off. I hope that they emptied the trash. When I've gone there, I always wonder if decent ice cream is worth it.
