The ice cream is still good, but it's gotten so expensive I can't justify it anymore. My go-to, the small dish of vanilla with sprinkles is now about half the size it was a few years ago when I wrote the original review, and the price has gone up to over $4. Charging $4 for an ice cream is fine, but don't skimp on it with tiny portions if you do. Maybe I'll try them again in a year or so to see if they figure it out.

I visited late afternoon right before the dinner rush started. Parking lot was clean. Upon entering, I was greeted by a member of the staff and welcomed to the establishment. I ordered the largest 1/2 lb roast beef sandwich as a meal, large sized. The sandwich had the correct portion of meat on it. My curly fries were hot and fresh, but the carton was not full. It is one of my pet peeves. I want my fries sticking out the top of the carton. The soda fountain was clean, but a little cluttered with extra cup lids that had fallen out of the dispensers. Sauce table was well stocked and clean. The dining room itself was clean and a clean table was readily easy to find. Floor had been recently mopped. Trash cans were maintained and usable. The food was hot and tasty and the dining experience was exactly what I expected. The men's bathroom was clean. It could have used some attention, but it wasn't garishly dirty like so many public restrooms. Overall, the experience was positive enough that I chose to ring the bell on the way out the door. Staff all thanked me for doing so as I left. As I was finishing my meal the dinner rush started and things got very busy. Staff handled it well though, and lines never got long. The only thing I felt let down about in the whole experience, was the price of my meal, but unfortunately, it has more to do with poorly run government than a poorly run store. And the rings themselves had beautiful, thick onion in them, unlike many places that have these sad thin rings with way too much batter. The foundation there is solid, but the problem was that they had a strong taste like the deep fryer oil was WAY overdue for a change -- that bitter, greasy flavor old oil gets. Totally ruined them for me. That's a management issue or a cheap owner issue -- change your oil more often.
