We waited about 20 minutes for our food as this place was pretty busy 30 minutes before closing. My burger arrived and they have a bar for condiments. Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and an assortment of other items. They also offer dispensers of ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce and mayonnaise. There is a small try of additional sauces such as A1 and malt vinegar. I personally added lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, A1 and I had bacon. The 1LB is actually two large patties on one bun. The burger was extremely dry to me with no seasoning or taste. I could barely taste the condiments. I honestly don't see the hype. The fries are endless and you can definitely get a second and third helping. Wonderfully seasoned and piping hot. The drinks are self serve with multiple options. Overall it's not awful. There are a few wins. I'd never get the 1LB burger and would probably go with a smaller one hoping for juicer meat.

It still boggles my mind that all the fast food giants still nickel and dime you for those three basic toppings. So yeah, props to the casual burger chains that still offer these up for free. And like Five Guys, you can add "premium" toppings like jalapenos, grilled onions, and mushrooms at no additional charge as well. In addition to burgers and fries, Wayback serves up chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and fried cheese curds. I was also impressed by the interior. It's pretty sleek with this sort of retro, wood-panel aesthetic to it. Wayback Burgers fits snuggly between, let's say the Burger Kings of the world and the boutique joints like Five Guys and Shake Shack. The only thing holding it back is quality and consistency. I remember my burger patties being dry to the point of breaking down and crumbling. This probably has to do with the fact that the patties seemed noticeably... small? Like 3 oz., tops.
