Came in after a day at Hershey park and was happy to find reliable and relatively inexpensive options to eat! (Side note, I can't believe how expensive food and drink at amusement parks have gotten over the years!) There was no line when we came in and so our sandwich order was taken and sandwich was ready in no time. The sandwich was good, but the bread seemed to be a little dry (perhaps par for the course for getting food later in the day). I went here and got two regular sized subs- they'll cut them in half if you ask! First was a Club Supreme with freshly sliced roast beef and Turkey which I LOVED! The second was a Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheesesteak sub (no tomato) which was also delicious. It was like a chopped chicken cheese steak. We will be coming back again. read more

It was recommended since I was telling my coworkers about another local sub place in the area that had GREAT bread. Unfortunately, this bread was not crusty. It's soft but at least they have hot sandwiches. I tried the chicken cheese portobello. The concept was terrific, however, I think someone found the salt shaker and would not let it go. There's a line between seasoned and salty and they went overboard slightly. The good thing is I had to pick up an order across the road at Sam's and they handed me a bottle of cold water which hit the spot. I wanted to like it I really really did... But there was so much cornmeal, covering my bread that it created a crust that literally irritated my throat every time I try to swallow it. Also, I wasn't able to see my sandwich be made because I ordered a hot sandwich (chicken Philly), so while everyone else's was able to be customized to their liking, they just slapped mine on the grill and wrapped it up and handed it to me. I wasn't sure exactly what it contained until I was ready to consume it. I will say that the bit of filling I did taste beyond the "sand bread" was tasty. I am probably going to get in trouble over this review but for a place a hyped up as Jersey Mike's, even having their spot in a prime location in Hershey, I was thoroughly disappointed. I have to admit that it has probably more to do with my initial expectations but come on, it shouldn't be that hard to make a FANTASTIC sandwich, one that's even better than a sub from any Italian place, where they have a lunch special for $7.50 with a drink and a sub! In my world, if a combo deal for $7.50 is great, the greatness should rise exponentially with the price, right!? Wrong..... I'd also expect to be treated better in prospect of paying such a price, rather than getting attitude at the register for not knowing how to use their point system. I suppose I was just assumed to know how to work their newfangled techy gizmo stuff. To me, this place is a glorified Subway but at the same or lesser taste. Nothing special and I will not be hunkering to come back anytime soon, safe your money and go elsewhere. read more

The sandwich (Italian with prisciouto, capicola, ham, salami, pepperoni and American cheese mike's way) was very good regardless. Stopped into Jersey Mike's last night, knowing what to expect price wise....the subs were of good quality. I ordered the Italian sub, which is my go to staple. I liked that the ham was pepper ham, which was a great touch! Pepper ham is my absolute favorite type of ham!! I also like the "Mike's way" which includes lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar. This made the sub all the much better. They had a decent selection of chips and sodas that you can add on. I read some reviews about not having much seating, which is true. Luckily we found seating and they have some bar type seating as well. I can see myself going back, I just don't think the price of the subs are that great for the size of the sub. read more

First time here- I ordered the Giant Big Kahuna Cheesesteak. It was an average cheesesteak but it wasn't necessarily A Giant Size for the price. I can order from a local pizza place- get homemade bread- and get a regular size sub that's almost as big as the Giant size at Jersey Mikes for half the cost. Came in for a quick bite after a day at Hershey Park. Gentlemen at the counters were kind and courteous, especially considering we came in about 35 minutes before closing requesting 5 sandwhiches. We sat down to eat and made a point to wrap up before closing time. About 5 minutes prior to closing, I went to take my children to the restroom before we started our 3 hour ride home to find the hallway blocked by mop buckets. I asked the lady walking around if we could use the restroom and she said she already mopped in there so we couldn't use it. I asked if there was any way we could use it quickly before they close and she said it was wet and we were not allowed to be in there. Then she proceeds to ask one of the guys at the counter for a key and she goes and locks the door (at this time it's barely 9pm). I'm staring at her blankly with a child on my hip and two toddlers next to me in disbelief. Excuse me? I was in shock at her response. I understand we came in late (still well before they close) and they were trying to finish up closing duties bc I'm sure they wanted to go home (I get it), but we as patrons were still in the restaurant during their open hours and the fact we were denied using the facilities is appalling. I saw her pull cleaning items that direction around 8:40ish and I thought she was simply staging to clean after they close. Never did I think we would be denied using the restrooms BEFORE the posted 9pm closing time. I would have had my kids use it beforehand then. I could respect if there was consideration to ask if we needed to use the facilities before she started cleaning, but to be denied access prior to them closing is ridiculous (yes I looked at my watch.. by this time it was 8:58). Especially seeing there were small children needing to use the facilities and being told they couldn't. I had to have my children use a portable toilet we keep in the car for emergencies. I'm still appalled over this encounter. If you're looking for a no frills, quick bite: this place is adequate. I would suggest extra training on customer service. read more

I have nothing against Jersey Mike's but as for the 5 star reviews, I think people may need to get their taste buds checked by a doctor. The subs are a step up from subway but not by much. The prices are waaaaaay above the taste. $9.12 for a 6 inch cheesesteak?? About a mile and a half down the road you can get a 12 inch just as good tasting cheesesteak for $7.89. I'm not saying the subs aren't good, they just don't reflect the price. If getting a sub is that serious then jump in your ride and save a few bucks. I stand corrected!! After looking at the other places menu that exact same cheesesteak that I ordered from Jersey Mike's with onion, peppers, and mushrooms, is $5.95 plus tax for a 12 inch sub. Delicious subs made fast in a nice, clean location but customer service is seriously lacking. Every time I visit I am inundated with employees trying to make small talk even though I am sending clear visual messages that I'm not looking for a chat and responding with curt responses. It's one thing to ask about normal small talk subjects but they really go the extra step and ask about your personal life. Sometimes its borderline harassment. Not interested in making new friends, just trying to get a sandwich. Also, the employees here seem bent on getting you through the line and to the cash register as soon as possible. This doesn't speed things up because I can be done paying and my veggies are still being added so the next patron won't get his/her sandwich any sooner. Instead, the employees have to ask you again what you wanted on the sub since they forgot what you said earlier. If it weren't for the fact the sandwiches are great. I would not be back. read more

Jersey Mike's makes "Jersey Style" subs/hoagies. Being from Jersey, I can say the style of hoagies they sell is definitely what you'd find in a jersey sub shop. The ingredients are fresh, the meat sliced to order, and find toppings of oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and oregano finish off the sub nicely. The selection is not huge, but there's something for everyone. This is definitely my go-to sub shop when I've got a hankering for a Jersey-style hoagie. read more

I've been waiting for a Jersey Mike's to open here in Hershey and this one does not disappoint! I went on a Friday night, and while it was busy, the line moved at a typical Jersey Mike's pace - meaning that you know it'll take a bit longer than other sandwich shops since they slice your meats and cheeses when you order here, and the hot subs are cooked to order as well (i.e. no microwaves). We are in town for a softball tournament. We decided to order 2 boxes for the team for dinner. I called to place order with a 1.5hr notice and we were turned away. This is the second time I have gotten a sub to go, got home, sat down to eat and it's made wrong. When you order a Cheese Steak with just steak and Provolone Cheese, nothing else, they'd get it right. Especially when they repeat it to you. I'd say 3 out of five times the order is wrong. Don't get me wrong, the steak was cooked just right and the rolls are fresh but when you ask for Provolone Cheese and get American, yuck! I don't like the taste of melted American. I've come here many times over the past few months and I haven't had any problems- until now. I ordered a number 44 (which I get every time) and I asked them not to put any lettuce or tomatoes on. The guy taking my order nodded, so he had to have heard me. However, when I got my sub, it had lettuce and what looked like barbecue chicken on it, not buffalo chicken, which is what is SUPPOSED to be on it. We've been there numerous times since they've opened. The sandwiches are good. But there have been little mistakes. It wasn't an issue until they really messed up on our last order. My husband called the store and spoke to Aaron. He quickly apologized and told him he would remake all three sandwiches and for the inconvenience, he would send us complementary cards for future use. My husband told him we would make do with what we had but wanted him to know the error (s). Within a day, we received the cards and a letter of apology. We were so impressed with the level of professionalism and customer service given to us. Needless to say, we will be continued customers and always recommend them. read more
