I heard such amazing things about jersey mikes so I got it for the first time today. Can someone explain to me how your BLT is the number one sub but I get no bacon? I get BLT's from Wawa all the time and the amount of bacon they put on their sub is insane. If you go to Jersey mikes they will give you two pieces of bacon and call that a BLT. They put 3 pieces of cheese on my BLT but TWO pieces of bacon TWO. I've never seen a sub place put such little bacon on a BLT. How is there more cheese and toppings than meat! Absolutely ridiculous, go to Wawa for BLT's it is way more worth it. The only reason I am rating a 2 star instead of the one it deserves is because my fiance got a cheesesteak and it was amazing. read more

Clean location and usually not busy so they are quick to help. I like this spot for a quick sandwich while doing work at Starbucks , I tried a few of their sandwiches and my favorite is the classic Italian but nothing special. Ate lunch in this establishment today. Unfortunately there was trash all over the floors, including chips and lettuce. The tables were dirty so I had to clean my own table off when I sat down. Most disappointing goal was that the bread on the sub that I had Was not soft and actually hard when I bit into it. read more

I loved my last experience here! Called ahead and it was ready quick and I was able to walk right in and pay at a separate register which had no line! Also loved the cheese steak! Best one I have ever had from a fast food chain. Great with the roll toasted and onions. It was packed with meat and cheese. I will order this again! I've been told by a number of people that this place is the place to visit for a good sub. I don't like Subway, Firehouse was an utter disappointment and so I stick to local joints. Went over lunch time, line moves fairly quickly and there are a lot of choices. Two minis, one regular and one giant - $34. A bit shocked at the price, I understand it's higher quality, but not sure the quality is quite there. I enjoyed the red wine oil, but I would suggest a bread that can handle the amount. By the time I got home the bread was soggy on one side which made the sub start to fall apart. Overall, not bad. read more

Located in the bustling Belmont Shopping Center one can find Jersey Mike's nestled between a Starbucks and Core Life Eatery. Jersey Mike's offers a variety of cold and hot subs. Today, I tried the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak. It normally comes with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese. I had my sandwich built with all of these ingredients but also asked to add their Chipotle Mayo. If you sign up with your email address on their website you receive a coupon for a free regular sized sub and fountain drink. I used this coupon for this meal. At the fountain I found an Agave Vanilla Cream Soda. It sounded very interesting so I chose this for my beverage. The sandwich was good. The roll held up well to the gooey meat and veggies. I appreciated that the cheese was incorporated into the mix so that it was all melted and evenly distributed in each bite. It was definitely an enjoyable birthday sandwich. I am not a huge soda drinker but this flavor was good. Artisinal. Jersey Mike's also offers a variety of chips for purchase but I opted out today. Here's the question, should I know, or even care, what Mike's way is? Here's the answer, HELL NO!!!! I am NOT Mike, I want what I want, let Mike have what Mike wants and let ME have what I want. For that to happen, this place needs to employ people who listen and can work OFF of the Mike's way script. The last two times I have been here, i was asked do I want it Mike's way? I just told the employee WHAT I WANTED. Was I listened to and did I get what I ordered? No I didn't, but It seems to me that making the sandwich as I am telling the employee what I want instead of waiting until I am done should help. Or is this about the difficulty of working off the Mike's way script for these people? Without asking, I was told what Mike's way is at the first of these two visits by the employee, after they made the sandwich incorrectly. But I guess that was my fault for not ordering Mike's way and then not paying attention to what the employee was doing. These employees seem to think if I want something close to Mike's way, but not exactly like it, I should just tell them yes I want it Mike's way. Did I not make myself clear that I want what I want? What is important to this place, educating the customer about something they don't care about or listening to and giving them want they want? It will probably be a LONG time before I am spending my money here again. Yeah, thanks mr business owner? I guess that's how I should respond to your reply. Let me start off by saying this has nothing to do with the location of Jersey Mike's however it has everything to do with the franchise. If you are looking for a review on this specific location, continue scrolling. Now upon becoming hungry one day I noticed a Jersey Mike's was nearby so I went to their menu. I am a fan of deli subs and have had good subs in the past from Jersey Mike's so I thought I would at least peruse the menu. Upon making a selection and going to checkout (online) I noticed the price seemed a little high. I then decided to do a little more research and comparison with another similar nearby option (Wawa). I personally enjoy Wawa subs more but the Jersey Mike's was located nearby. Nonetheless a regular sub from Jersey Mike's will cost you $10.75 for 7 inches of sub (about $1.50 per inch of sub). If you're feeling advantageous you can upgrade to a giant but that will cost a whopping $18.65 for 15 inches of sub ($1.24 per inch of sub). Now comparing this to Wawa if you chose to get the classic sub (10 inches) for $7.49. This plays out to $1.33 per inch of sub. If you're looking at this and thinking that the giant from Jersey Mike's is the best option then you're wrong. $11 dollars for an extra 5 inches of sub is not practical when you could get two 10 inch subs from Wawa and STILL be cheaper than the giant from Jersey Mike's. Could even get a drink and you might still be under the whopping $18.65 price tag. You could talk about this and that and share preferences but this review is entirely based on price and I could never see myself paying $18.65 for "fresh sliced and fresh baked". It simply doesn't seem worth it. If it is worth it to you and you enjoy it, good on you I hope you continue to enjoy every single sub you order from JM. Nevertheless, I rest my case and will be taking my sandwich needs to Wawa. I hope this helps, or at least provided some enjoyment to your day. read more

I'm a fan of Subway and love Firehouse so when Jersey Mike's came to town and I heard the hype I thought they'd fall somewhere in the middle. But because of the insane traffic surrounding Belmont I have to plan my trips there strategically. Last night traffic was light so it was the perfect opportunity to check them out. Unlike some of the other retailers in Belmont this one is a fairly easy in/out which I am thankful for as the traffic patterns in this shopping center are funky. Inside the line was about 6 deep. There were several inside empty tables and some nice bistro seating outside. The menu was very basic and small but I'd rather patronize a business that does a few things very well than someplace that offers a lot of choices they can't execute. Hubby wanted a basic ham and cheese sub and I was jonezing for a toasted Italian. I was disappointed to learn that none of their cold subs can be served toasted as I can't stomach a cold sub. Firehouse they are not! Nothing else was screaming out at me but I wanted something warm so I settled on a chicken bacon ranch cheesesteak. I ordered both subs large size so we'd have lunch for work the next day. Imagine my horror when 2 large subs cost me the equivalent of 1/3 of my weekly grocery budget at a total of $30!!!! They must be pretty good subs I thought and prayed...... I was mortified as I saw the employee pull a big block of ham from the cooler and slice it. The ham they use is the kind that they sell at the grocery store, you know the kind, a step below generic, square, slimy and marbled. I was grossed out just watching her make hubby's sub. Another Yelper also mentioned their cheap meat, so I know it's not just me. The fixings also were just the very basic offerings; lettuce, tom, onion, pickles. Subway they are not! They did offer a few bread choices but of course the parmesan rosemary was sold out. The line moved rather slow as one girl took orders and sliced meat, another made the sandwich and another person cashed you out. Flow and procedure has room for improvement as you pay and get your cold sub and have to wait around for your hot while they continue to check people out. They should give you all of your order all at once otherwise it creates confusion and interruption to others in the line when your hot order is up. The cashier must work on commission because he was pretty aggressive about selling brownies and promoting their loyalty program more so than someone just making minimum wage. Annoying..... My cheesesteak was nothing special and rather bland. I didn't see any bacon and the ranch was runny and had no flavor. Because the contents were hot yet served on soft, untoasted bread it got wet and sloppy pretty fast. I longed for some crunch or textural element and hated the soft, cold bread even more with each bite. I bought my other half for lunch today but the thought of eating it is a turn off so it'll probably just get tossed. Overall a waste of time and money. I just don't get the hype, just because something is new doesn't make it good. If this is what they consider a good sub in Jersey I feel bad for the residents. We won't be back. read more

Chain, obviously. Clean because its new. Limited choices of sandwiches and toppings. Seating layout is odd as their line to order has to stand right up against the tables you sit at. Otherwise its your standard chain. Subway is healthier if that's a deciding factor for you. It doesn't make me think, "ok, I could go for a jersey mikes!" I love Jersey Mike's. My favorite part is the freshness of the meat. Unlike the majority of sub shops, the meat is sliced when you order and immediately put on your sub. And, they don't skimp on the meat. I really enjoy their subs! The only drawback to them is the location. It's right by a Chick-fil-a and traffic is awful! You know, I see some reviews that say that it takes too long, the food is too high priced, its not as cheap as subway or a "Gas station". It is apparent that none of these folks that posted reviews like that have ever been to a great old school deli. Thats what Jersey Mikes is and thats what you get, great quality, made fresh and the taste, well that speaks for itself. If you like cheap, Subway is just up the road. I travel the country and for sure, whenever I come across a Jersey Mikes, thats my choice for lunch,. I even find them at the airports which is great. read more

Lettuce issue seems to be resolved but Still not impressed, sorry but this chain has a lot of improving to do if it wants to compete with the other sub shops around town. Their meats are pretty low quality (ham is in a square block), not fresh deli meats like primo or Bruno's, and the bread is nothing to write home about. The "Mikies way" in my opinion is a big mess. Sure it's nice to have oil and vinegar but why cover it so much that it's a disaster to eat. The ingredients are "subway" quality but twice the price. If I want a low-end sub, I will go to subway, and spend a lot less. I will stick to another chain. read more

When this first opened, I went there and I liked it! It has gone down hill since that first time. I ordered 2 regular sandwiches - #13 Original Italian and #8 Club Sub. It Original Italian did not taste spicy. I examined it further and realized it contained no pepperoni. None. I ordered it Mike's Way and there didn't appear to be any vinegar on it either. My husband's sub was the club and he was disappointed as well. I paid over $20 for 2 regular subs and I threw mine out. Leftover Chinese was my meal instead. I won't be going back. read more

Stick to the local pizza/sub shops. Decided to try them due to having a BOGO coupon. The ordering process is annoying; you have to talk to someone over a high deli case, and they only take the custom orders for hot subs at that point. They do custom make your sub with the toppings. Prices are ridiculously high for a place like this: almost $50 for four 7.5" subs, three bags of chips and three fountain drinks. They didn't ask if we were eating in our taking out, they just pushed our subs at us, no bag, no tray. And they didn't seem to think there was anything wrong about the air conditioner dripping on us. The Lancaster store is THE BEST. We love Jersey Mike's and always look for the JM's wherever we travel. The subs are consistently good, and the ingredients fresh, but the LANCASTER store is a STEP ABOVE. We are always greeted, and everyone is friendly. Christina and several of her staff recognize us, and she always remembers how I like my #3. It may not always be the most convenient location, but we go out of our way to go to the Lancaster store. What I was not impressed with was the prices, OMG were they a little high ($13-14 for a large sub), I didn't think the meats were of high quality which made for just an ok sandwich. I want to say I love Jersey mike I've been coming here this location since they open. Three times a week. Last two times I had a bad experience I'd rather go to Subway for the price I paid today. We bought three large subs came to $51. I got the same lady the last two times It e was barely any meat I even showed the guy when he wrapped it. I ask why have the last 2 times the meats are barely nothing on them. All he said to me was would you like to have them here or take out. I just laughed it off and we left since I already paid for the order. I noticed like I said the few times it was same girl that made them. I feel it depends on who makes them because this girl deafly does not know what she's doing. Subway from now on I thought when I went up to the counter the manager would have came over but instead like I said the guy just asked if I wanted to eat or take it home. First time I went was right after it opened- it was super busy but service was quick. I had an Italian- it was good- nothing off the charts. Tonight I returned, I ordered online which was easy and convenient. When I arrived I went to the counter that says online orders pick up- I stood there without a single acknowledgment for several minutes which is incredibly rude and a complete turn off. Making eye contact with someone and a simple acknowledgement is basic customer service- so not sure how that's not a standard? I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and added bacon- they forgot to add the bacon but realized it before giving it to me. The person unwrapped and rewrapped the wrap to put the bacon on- when I opened it at home it was a complete mess! Holes all in the wrap and just fell apart- totally inedible.
