Figured I needed to try a Cheesesteak sandwich while I was there. Pulled up this place on Apple Maps and they did not disappoint. Their cheese is pure and creamy, their steak, cut thin and full of flavor, the roll has a crisp outside and soft inside. Don't get me started on the fire cherry mayo, OMG! The loaded fries have huge pieces of bacon and are drenched in the creamiest cheese. I imagine the calories are high but the flavors will resonate with me for years to come.

The bun was so yummy and the chicken and their special cheese sauce was tender and tasty. The fries were just as fries should be. If we lived closer I would eat there regularly.

Maybe more, I just can't remember when he worked while in Lancaster. It's been too long. Every time I had tried to come check this place out, they were closed. Do, definitely check out their hours before coming here. I just so happened to be in Lancaster during the week and swung by. The place is nondescript and kind of a hidden spot. It's quite reminiscent of an old pub when walking in. It's quiet. But it's a good spot to have lunch with a coworker. This is what I saw when I got here - a bunch of people eating lunch with their coworkers. I grabbed a salad and asked for all the veggies and the chili garlic sauce. It was delicious! I wasn't planning on eating lunch that day, but I didn't want to lose another chance of trying this place. I finished the salad. The sauce had a bit of horseradish or wasabi in it. There was a kick to it. It was a nice surprise. I had to eat quickly because it was about to downpour. I asked for a lid and they offered a bag for me, but I didn't take it. I just needed to run to my car quick. There is a parking garage two blocks north infront of the Hamilton Watch store. It's $2 to park for an hour. Would I come back again? Yes, I would. I would want to try their other options too. That sauce got me hooked.

My wife got their regular burger and it was cooked to her liking. Eventhough it was not cooked how I prefer, it still tasted good! The fries tasted very very good! I love a shoestring fry! Unfortunately, they charge an extra 6 dollars to upgrade from chips to fries with their burger. The mozzarella sticks were out of this world. This was a very good bang for your buck. Homemade and handbreaded, they were massive. You get two for 8 dollars. The prices here are very high. To put it in perspective, if you go here and get two burgers, upgrade to fries for both burgers, and get two waters, your bill is going to be $48 dollars plus tax.... The decor and scenery in here is incredible! It looks awesome. The seating is very limited. Make sure you get a reservation ahead of time. We went at 430 and about half the tables were blocked off for reservations. Would definitely like to come back here and try different items, every dish that went by looked delicious!

I'd like to start off by saying that I previously left a review (now deleted) that does not reflect…read morewhat Riverside Subs stands for. My first experience there was a rare occurrence, and Disma assured me that he strives to make sure that kind of experience isn't representative of Riverside. After seeing my review and taking it to heart, Disma actually reached out to me personally. That level of personal attention really stood out to me, and it's something I genuinely appreciate and respect. He personally helped remake my sub and mozzarella sticks, and they turned out way better than the first time. The steak was spread all the way to each end of the bread, and there wasn't a single bite that didn't have steak or wasn't loaded with that creamy, delicious Cooper Sharp cheddar. Stellar job on the steak. Now, I'm a stickler when it comes to mozzarella sticks, and I tend to judge a restaurant based SOLELY off the sticks . No, but seriously, these came out fantastic. They were perfectly crunchy and brown on the outside, with just a little bit of that yummy burnt cheese (my preference, fight me) and savory, stretchy mozzarella on the inside. Absolutely perfect. I also have to appreciate the atmosphere when you walk in. There's a sense of love and hard work that went into the place, and you can see the effort people have put into the building. The restaurant is very clean, and while the kitchen is clearly used, it's also well maintained, with clean surfaces and equipment. It has a homey feel because it's smaller, and the staff make it feel approachable and welcoming. I'd like to end this by saying thank you to Disma for reaching out and giving me a second chance, because I'm really glad I agreed. After speaking with him briefly, I could tell that he's someone who takes pride in what he does and what he stands for. The fact that he personally helped make my meal gave me a newfound respect for him and for what he's doing in the community. With all the hate in the world, I hope people can learn to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and try to connect first rather than immediately run to the internet. Thank you, Riverside Subs, and thank you to Disma for your hospitality. And thank you to the entire team there who makes it all happen. Finally, thank you to anyone who took the time to read this review.

Still two steps over there. So in fact, there is no handicap access for someone in a wheelchair. Fortunately, I am able to use a cane and was able to ascend a few stairs to the interior. Inside is a small restaurant with a counter for ordering and a handful of tables for seating if eating there. We stood at the order counter several minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. In their defense, they were busy filling orders, placing to go orders on their warming area, and continuing to cook. Finally, the "cook" looked over & said, "I apologize for the wait, we'll will be with you in a minute." The young person who finally took our order seemed a bit inexperienced, but we weren't in much of a rush. Nevertheless, there still were several slip ups in our order. My wife ordered a BLT. When they asked if she wanted it on white or wheat, she said, "white, please, toasted and no onion." What she didn't realize (my wife) was that white or wheat meant a brioche style hamburger bun not traditional sliced bread. That was not clear until we asked after being served -- and were told they don't use "regular bread". Second hiccup in this order was that while the sandwich had a wonderful abundance of bacon... I mean a load!... Somehow they not only left off the onion but also was no tomato! It ended up being a bacon, lettuce and mayo sandwich on a bun. So back to the counter to ask them for several slices of tomato. (Apology accepted.) My order was for a Philly-style cheesesteak with Cooper cheese. It came very hot, juicy, and quite yummy. In fact, it was too big for me to finish. So once again, the general generosity with fillings and toppings was top-notch. Prices were very reasonable and I would encourage you to go and try it. If in the area, we likely will come back as well. As a side note, my wife worked as a server at this restaurant 68 years ago when she was a teenager! Different name back then for both the restaurant and for her. Fond memories.

We stopped in on our way home from the Lancaster downtown and we were in search of something that wasn't greasy pub food. Friscos more than delivered on that request. It was a bonus that they had TVs and the World Cup playing. If being critical, the white meat was a little chewy and dry but the charcoal flavor was there. I'm guessing they're being careful about foodborne illness and cooking to higher temps. Using some of the 3 sauces was a a must. The leg, however, was to die for even without sauce. Juicy and fell right off the bone. The rice (chaufa) was cooked well and flavor was not overtly soy sauce thankfully. Green beans were crispy and fresh. Overall, I would recommend Friscos to anyone in search of a healthier option for dinner.

Hand sanitizer is available and there is a plexiglass shield at the counter. The floor is well marked with 6ft social distancing stickers. I do not recall seeing any signage that states masks are required and I'm not sure if they are allowing dine-in. Not sure how they would do that because the restaurant is on the smaller side. Portion sizes are on point and everything traveled well, about a 20-25 minute drive. The shrimp were larger than expected, so that was a pleasant surprise.
