Let me tell you, I am not a fan of fried chicken. Most of the fried chicken I've had are oily, flavorless, and dry. However you will not get anything like that at Blazin' J's! I tried this place on a whim when my fiancé was craving fried chicken. I actually only knew about Blazin' J's because the folks over in the "Lancaster County Take Out" Facebook group speak such high praises. I said that I would have some fried chicken only if we got to try someplace new and not a chain. When we arrived, I noticed that the menu had just the right amount of options where I was confused or torn about what to order and everything sounded good. I love chicken sandwiches so I ordered the J's Way Chicken Sandwich combo with fries and my fiancé ordered the Chicken and Waffles tossed in the hot sauce with hot honey sauce on the side. Our wait time wasn't that long considering it was peak dinner time and everything was made so fresh after we ordered. I don't mind the wait, especially since the quality was good. Let me tell you-- it was good. My sandwich was the perfect balance of spicy and the homemade Mayo was creamy. I loved everything about it and the size of the chicken was PERFECT. I barely was able to touch my fries because I was so full from the sandwich. My fiancé loved his chicken and waffles (and I loved the sample I tried from his plate). The waffles were so naturally sweet without being overbearing, the batter is really nice! The chicken was perfect and he loved the sauce combo. He thinks he will toss the chicken in the hot honey instead of the hot, since the hot honey flavors and so nicely complex! Should I also mention we had a bit of leftovers for snack later? First off you gotta know that I am NOT a fan of fried chicken establishments. I can't even drive past a KFC because the smell of the grease turns my stomach. So for me to give a chicken joint 4 stars is a high endorsement. All over my Facebook feed I've been seeing posts about Blazin' J's and how delicious they are. An image of their seasoned fries is what convinced me to go. I figured I'd go for the fries and "maybe" get a chicken sandwich just to say I did. Well.....let me tell you about that sandwich and their service! The cook, who engaged in conversation with me the whole time, was convinced he would make a believer out of me with his chicken cooked to order. He took great pride in his cooking skills and flavoring and did not disappoint. While I opted to have a milder version of the hot sauce on the side (which I didn't care for) the chicken itself was worthy of two meals as it was huge, had a nice crunchy coating outside (without being greasy) and a juicy inside. I was instantly hooked. The fries were good too, although I kept finding myself adding more salt. In the end I did like the sandwich more than the fries. Each meal is made to order so you can control certain aspects of how the chicken is prepared. The staff were all friendly and very efficient and the place spotless. While I went while there wasn't a crowd I did see on Facebook how the line sometimes extends into the food court. I'm now a believer in Blazin' J's. read more

When I saw the prices I wasn't sure if this was going to be a good choice. $12 for 3 chicken tender, french fries, and a fountain drink. A little pricey for my standards but as soon as I took a bite, my opinion changed. That was some dang good chicken! 3 huge tenders that are advertised as "fresh and never frozen." It shows! The chicken was juicy and you get quite a few choices in spicy (or lack thereof) sauce. The fries weren't anything to write home about but they were crispy and good enough for me. I'm guessing this place is fairly new to the food court. It doesn't seem to be managed the best. We didn't get the ranch we ordered. The napkin dispenser was empty. They have some improvements to make. But not the chicken! That was fantastic! I'll definitely eat here again. read more

My family and I all got food from Blazin' J's earlier this week. It was slightly pricier than some of the other options in the food court so I was hesitant to get it for everyone in the fam. One bite and my world was forever changed. This may well be the best chicken I ever had. We all got chicken strips and french fries and no one was disappointed! The chicken strips are big and juicy. The breading is perfection. The seasoning on the fries is excellent. And the homemade honey mustard sauce is worlds beyond any other honey mustard. The only negative to the whole experience was the atmosphere of the food court in park city mall. The tables were all dirty and sticky. There was one employee "cleaning but he was so into whatever was playing in his AirPods that he was oblivious to people asking him to wipe a table. And there were several groups of obnoxiously loud and annoying tweens that ran around the food court like hoodlums that made the whole experience suffer. So, to the owners of Blazin' J's...take your superb, world changing chicken to another venue, please. read more

Good homemade fried chicken, took very long. Was standing around for 30 minutes waiting for my food that is seriously ridiculous, I'm assuming it was just because it was a Saturday though so I can look past that. I got mild chicken tenders they tasted bbq that was weird BUT my gf got a chicken sand-which and that was FIRE! Also the fries was good as hell. I wouldn't recommend the chicken fingers but that sand-which was really really good. Id try it out again maybe on a Tuesday or Monday since it's in the mall food court. read more

I'm in the mall, hungry, and upset. Why am I upset? Because I hate malls, and I hate eating there. I walk up to this place and the steam trays are all empty. It turns out the steam trays are empty because they kinda don't need them. Everything is made fresh to order. Hail and thank the heavens! It's literally no more expensive than other options in the food court, and you get so much more quality. Every single time I eat at a mall, I do so to prevent me wanting to knock down trash cans or flick gum at mannequins, and I leave feeling bloated and ashamed of even being in a mall. This time? Well fed, happy, and polite. Here's the best part! There's another one downtown! I won't have to even go to a mall! I went to that one too! JUST AS GOOD! If you've been sleeping on this place, go and grab some hot chicken, and next time, order even hotter. This place is FANTASTIC! Great service, awesome and nice employees, and the prices are great for the quality. I could eat this chicken every day and not get tired of it. I ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders in hot honey sauce, along with a side of fresh cut fries. The chicken was perfectly crispy with the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. The French fries were perfectly seasoned with lots of yummy rosemary and salt (my favorite!). I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. I had high hopes for this place. My husband had an outstanding meal from the downtown location. I assumed the same would be true of the park city location so we gave it a try. We went there about 40 minutes before closing, they were out of sandwiches and fries so we ordered tenders dipped in hot honey. We got bone dry tenders with no sauce. A little disappointing but it was near closing so understandable. I won't hold that against them. Needless to say, that didn't answer my chicken sandwich craving so we tried it again the next day. My husband got the js way combo and he really enjoyed it. He and my kids all loved the lemonade the best. My meal... again, disappointing. I ordered a dipped chicken sandwich with waffle and hot Mayo on the side. For the second time my chicken went undipped. What do I have to do to get my hands on some of that hot honey??? They didn't include the hot Mayo either which was a bummer. The waffle was rubbery so, quite honestly, the best part of the meal was the pickles. I'm a sauce-a-holic so a dry sandwich just doesn't do it for me. I wish I hadn't wasted the calories, but I was starving so I ate it. I think this place has a lot of potential. I think that the food is probably great when it's done right, but I don't know that I'll return for a third disappointment. Every since they opened the city location I've been a fan of blazin j's since opening day! I have tried everything on the menu and everything is served to the same quality and standards that you would expect. The staff is always friendly which seems to be hard enough to find anymore!
