    Raw chicken sandwich.

Absolutely horrendous. I ordered 2 "spicy" chicken sandwiches, today March 14,2026. I am fasting for Ramadan so was looking forward to some good halal food. However when i got home, my family and i realized that both of the chicken patties were regular chicken sandwich, not "spicy " how i ordered; although i confirmed with the cashier and he insisted it was spicy chicken. To make matters worse, the chicken patty is raw. Inedible. Took a bite and the middle of the patty is raw, gummy, chewie. It smells so bad and after a long day of fasting, your food was the biggest disappointment.

I stopped in during a late lunch before getting my nails done. I miss halal carts from living in Philly, and this really hit the mark! Even at 2pm on a Thursday, there was a line. While it wasn't as fast as I'd hoped, I got my pakora chips fried fresh. They were delicious! I also got the chicken/rice platter. Huge portion that I only ate half of, and my husband enjoyed the rest later. Bold flavors and everything cooked well. The staff were really kind and attentive. Will definitely be back!!

Shah's Halal Food is a welcome addition to the Lancaster, PA food scene occupying the space of a former pizzeria along a busy street right outside of the city. Signage has been up for a few months and I have been anticipating their opening. I finally discovered this week they are open so I had to get there. I stopped in today with some coworkers for lunch. This is a fast casual establishment serving build your own platters, gyros, salads and also features some sandwiches and side orders on the menu. Service was quick and friendly and the interior was clean. I ordered the Kofta Kebab Platter. Platters include choice of protein served over basmati rice and salad. The Kofta Kebab Platter comprises of two chicken skewers that were sliced. I chose to add cucumbers, tomatoes, hummus, onion, white sauce, hot sauce and BBQ sauce was accidentally added but did not interfere with the flavors. Every bite was an explosion of flavors that I thoroughly enjoyed and everything was delicious. Be aware that their hot sauce has good kick to it! My coworkers all enjoyed their food as well. The falafel, Kofta and fries are all cooked to order so there is a small wait if you order those items. I definitely plan on returning to try other items on the menu.

I definitely recommend this place the food was delicious and a special thank to the cashier friend who brought my order to my car .

Good food, good flavors and good value. Get the kofta...which oddly, is chicken here. The fried potatoes are also quite tasty.

Not very many things on the buffet, although all of them were hot. The restaurant was very clean, and the ambiance was good. The service was good, although the gentleman who was working didn't seem to have a lot of English, which may be a problem in the future. He was very kind and helpful though, which is a plus. I think this place has a lot of potential. They've JUST opened, and haven't ironed out the kinks yet. I will definitely be back. Suggestions to the owners: 1. You need a Meze/Combination platter (I think this is Lancaster County's first Middle Eastern restaurant, people don't know what the food is, they want to try it without committing to the whole dish.) Maybe do a "Pick 3 appetizers" for $11.99 or something. 2. The buffet was bland, don't Americanize the spices,we can handle the real seasonings, this isn't overly spicy for us. I was quite surprised to see that some of the dishes hadn't even been salted. 3. Maybe some fusion ME/American dishes? There is a place that does Shawarma fries in Chester County. Best of luck! I think you're on to something.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.

Dinner and a show, I'm down! The show was good, but the food was just fine. Everything leaned too sweet for my liking. Our group of 4 got the $30 each 7 course family style meal. Spicy (not even that spicy!! (2/5 spice level IMO)) chicken and the eggplant dish at the beginning were my favorite dishes.
