Tzatziki with pita break-delicious
Kendra S.

A group of us (about 15 ladies) went to Freshly Greek and had the best time! We were treated to a variety of appetizers and then we all ordered meals off the menu. My chicken gyro was very substantial and I also enjoyed the fries. (I had leftovers the next day because the portion was big). The restaurant is designed well and is a fun place for a girls night out. No question-I would come back again.

Gyro sandwich

I was really hopeful that this food would be great based on the reviews and maybe this was an isolated experience but this was disappointing.. Lets start with the pros Fries are well seasoned They offer gluten free pita options The packaging is cute Cons The gyro is not actual gyro but looksike someone chopped up a burger into strips The cost is way too high and they give you only 2 small pieces of meat Gluten free pita lacks taste The rice was super crispy and salty This was a bummer overall and I don't think I'd go back

Gyro with Lamb Tips

Yesterday was my birthday so we went to my favorite, Freshly Greek. We started with the Mezze platter, a great sampler of house olives, Greek feta, sliced cucumbers, house made Dalmaths, hummus, tzatziki and Petar's home made Pita along with an order of delicious felafels. We told Petar it was my birthday, he made my Gyro with Lamb Tips. Quite possibly the best Gyro, I've ever had! My wife had the Geek salad. A delicious collection of locally sourced vegetables. Our evening ended with the rice pudding. An absolutely perfect meal for my birthday!

$55 charge for 2 entrees and fried Feta. Souvlaki is advertised as Marinated SkewerS, with an S. We received 1 Skewers and 3 pita, no sauces or tzaziki. Gyro had thickly cut beef- too thick and tough to chew. Very disappointing.

I was only here once, but will return. I bought a chicken gyro, comes with fries, and a cold brew for under $20 and it was worth it. Chatted with the owner briefly, and he missed fresh Greek food from his travels so much, that he decided to open this restaurant. Delicious food, great quality, fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a nicely appointed small dining area. It is an open room, so it may get loud if crowded, but I want to return for dinner. The GYRO had chunks of fresh marinated chicken, homemade tzatziki sauce, homemade pita, lettuce, nice fresh tomato and onion - delicious! The FRENCH FRIES were fresh cut and fabulous- fries are my weakness, so I know what I'm talking about! Yum! The COLD BREW was fairly strong and I loved that it was nitro...smoother. Eat here, you won't regret it!!!

Definitely lemony, custardy egg thick and rice; this is something I'll need to compare with another, avgolemono. Perhaps the addition of a bit more chicken stock (to thin it out) and some larger pieces of chicken, would have evened out the flavors. Back to Lancaster's Greek restaurants, to include "gyros;" they're hella good, but expensive, elsewhere within Lancaster. I know; I've heard it all before: we make our pita and dips from scratch, our feta is flown in from Greece, fries are hand cut (yeah yeah, yadda yadda) and you leave, wondering why your bill for two gyros, was near to $70. This was not the case with Souvlaki Boys and they're gyros are just as good, tender, savory meat, soft pita, stuffed with your choice of homemade tzatki sauces, feta, loaded with fresh, crunchy salad veggies and yes, hand cut fries - all within this gal's budget.

I'm not too fond of city driving but I wanted something for lunch that wasn't a chain restaurant so…read moreI stopped by Souvlaki Bros. Luckily, there's a private parking lot behind the store that you can park or you can street park. I think there is garage parking a short walking distance away. It's a quaint corner restaurant with indoor seating. You can dine in or take out. There's a bench to use if you're waiting for take out and there's probably enough seating for about 20 guests. Food is made to order. Expect to wait. The staff tells you ahead of time that it may take 15-20 minutes to prepare. I'm perfectly Ok with waiting for a freshly made order. The staff was super friendly and patient as I wasn't sure what I wanted to order. I opted for the classic gyro but without fries inside the pita. When we got our food, the gyro did have fries. The girl who brought our food offered to have a new one made without fries but we kept the gyro as is. The fries on the gyro didn't overtake the sandwich so it was actually pretty good. Ordered a side of fries also. Seasoned perfectly and not too oily/greasy. We never had baklava before. That dessert was very delicious. It was warmed and dusted with cinnamon as suggested by staff. It did not disappoint. Very pleased with this lunch spot. Worth the wait. Will try again. Thanks for a great experience.

Delicious and so fresh and tasty !! My boyfriend opted for a "build your own pita" : steak , lots of hot harissa, corn, pickled onions, tomato and cucumber salad , crazy feta and skhug. He loved his meal too . If you haven't made it to CAVA yet , put it in your list !!! They have so many fresh and healthy options to choose from , it's amazing !! "It's like Chipotle, but Mediterranean food!" This is how friends and family described Cava to me…read morewhen it first opened, and it's the reason why I'm such a late convert -- Chipotles are usually dirty and their food is in the news too often associated with making people sick. Cava is nothing like that. I got a chance to try the food for a work lunch event and enjoyed the food so much that I've introduced it to my husband and daughter as one of our more health quick dinner options. I've tried a variety of proteins and topping options in the BYO bowl and have been really pleased with the food quality and variety--I love all the traditional sauces (harissa, tzatziki), and the hubs loves the crazy feta. For dressing options, I highly recommend the lemon herb tahini and tahini Caesar. The online ordering is so simple and everything is completely customizable -- the hubs and kid can nix onions from their bowls and I can add all the onion options to mine. Everyone's happy! There are reserved to-go parking spaces right at the front entrance, so it's convenient to park there, run in to the pick up rack and grab my order. In and out in less than 5 min. If you eat-in, there plenty of room and seating inside and they even have a little outdoor area out back during the warm weather months. The staff work quick, so the order line generally moves well, but you occasionally have someone who is new to the concept asking a lot of questions about options, so that takes a little more time. For the most part the staff are patient in helping people who are struggling with the menu. The one miss? The desserts. We ordered the chocolate chip brownie once to share and were surprised by how small it was-- a little bigger than an AirPod case and an inch thick. Two bites, which for one person is enough, but not really a shareable. And for the price? For a pre-packaged brownie, essentially? Not worth it. Skip the sweet stuff and stick with the bowls.
