    Coffee with almond milk

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is very cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I lived the vibe walking in for brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was zero wait which surprised me for a Saturday morning. The staff was really nice. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. The food was good. I got a white chocolate latte... it wasn't very good and ended up sending it back and getting a regular coffee. They have milk alternatives like oat milk and almond milk for coffee.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Food from here was wonderful and the space is super cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really love the way they make their home fries - unlike anything I've had before! Our server was very attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. Definitely give this place a visit!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped into Avenue Kitchen a little while back and I am happy to say that our experience was nothing like some of the more negative reviews I have read, in fact, it was a downright splendid experience in a bright, upbeat space, with perfect outdoor dining and a wonderful staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted immediately after stepping inside and asked if we wanted to be seated inside or enjoy the beautiful weather that day. Usually, I will choose to sit inside, just to avoid any baking sun or exhaust from passing cars, but something that day spurred me to sit out front, and boy did it help make the whole experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio out front is spacious, comfortable, and even quiet and somewhat private despite being right up against the shopping center parking and right next to a neighboring restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was absolutely outstanding; she was the only thing standing between the small issue I experienced when ordering! They didn't have bagels and I couldn't order my initial menu choice, and although I was slightly annoyed, she smoothed this over impeccably and helped me ease into several of the other choices that I had wanted as well, so it was actually a win. The menu isn't "extensive" but the choices that are there are unique and wonderful, and many of them have interesting twists and takes on other dishes from the past as well as creations you may never expect. I decided ultimately to go with a Brûléed Grapefruit, which was a half a grapefruit with sugar poured overtop and then caramelized into a perfect glasslike sweet crust that was an experience unlike I have ever had before with any fruit. This alone would keep be coming back again to try it over and over. In addition, I also tried the avocado toast that was loaded with perfectly fresh avocado and so many other things that created a wonderful balance of fresh vegetal flavors and smooth buttery umami that makes this modern classic so popular. This was just another highlight of their menu, at least for me. This is a wonderful woman-owned and operated space that is worth checking out if you are ever in the area and should be a repeat staple for those of you who live nearby. If I was just a bit closer, I'd be coming every Friday or Saturday morning for just the grapefruit alone, not to mention the rest of the menu to explore.

My husband and I took a drive to Pennsylvania for brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue was nice, bright and gave off a very inviting feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and filling. I definitely recommend others to try out this establishment.

We used to frequent here years ago when we lived here and was one of our favorite spots. We are traveling and decided to go back for breakfast. First the positives, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the service was good and the atmosphere is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Latke which was over cooked so much the outside was hard. My wife had a waffle and bacon. The waffle was good. I also had an order of bacon. So for $7 you get 3 pieces of thin sliced smoked bacon that comes out tasting like it has been under a heat lamp for hours. They were nice when we sent it back and they removed it from the bill. Seriously though for that price is should be regular cut bacon and cooked fresh to order. Very disappointed. Won't be back

Avocado Benedict - we added tomato

Overall experience ended up being quite average although I loved the French toast. We ordered it with whipped cream which turned out to be homemade and so delicious. The avocado Benedict we enjoyed however came out lukewarm so my wife and I switched plates so she could have the French toast, but I enjoyed the Benedict as well. Service was sufficient and the overall ambience was a little strange as the decor made no sense to me. Fair pricing for the area. Would return.

First of all they serve breakfast all day. Two thumbs up on that. I went for lunch. Had a bougie Achiote chicken sandwich. I was shocked how good it was. Service very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ample seating, with choice of booth or table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

At 10 am I was able to order lunch. The million Dollar burger was amazing!! And the fries.... Out freaking standing!! The burger was exceptional in every aspect. The onion and lettuce were super crisp and the meat was super flavorful and cooked perfectly to the medium rare I ordered. The brioche bun was so delicate and delicious.

The inside of this restaurant is cute and luxurious. I remarked to my fiancé that it feels like Christmas in the best of ways. Definitely a cute place to take someone for lunch or dinner if they're visiting the area. While in town for a wedding, we stopped in for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised by the menu. I ordered the pear pizza and my fiancé got a Caesar salad with chicken. He is a connoisseur of Caesar salads () and said this one was solid. Stars off for extremely slow service despite the restaurant being largely empty and receiving cloth napkins with old stains on them.

Check In was smooth and I server Matt was excellent! Avenue kitchen restaurant has very nice ambience for a restaurant located in a strip mall. When you approach the restaurant there is nice outside seating that most likely existed prior to COVID. Inside is very stylish a modern open concept with 'exposed' beams etc. The bar is a statement piece large, bright and neat. Overall inside has the look of a large semi expensive condo in a major city. Major upside? plenty of parking! All of the breakfast/brunch menu items are interesting. Using Yelp to view the food was extremely helpful. I went with the Creme Brûlée waffle and loved it. It wasn't extremely sweet it was delivered with a nice golden brown caramelized sugar top with fruit and mint garnish. The firm waffle worked well with the custard topping and fruit. A little too much custard topping for me but I moved the 'extra' to the side. Hubby enjoyed his steak, potatoes and eggs. The steak was cooked as requested and tender. He love the bacon bloody Mary so much he did it twice. My St. Germain spritzer was good not special. As usual the La colombe coffee as usual was strong but good. This was a nice experience and worth a try or repeat visit!

Nice bar! Only open for breakfast and lunch.

Wow, first time here. Lovely decorations and nice bar! They are only open for breakfast and lunch right now. The place was not busy when we got there but filled up quickly! Then we realized this poor server was on her own. She kept up with orders, seating people, delivery food and bills. She did it with a smile on her face. The food was great! I had a toasted caprese sandwich with delicious fries! The sandwich was so good. The balsamic glaze really made the sandwich! My husband had a grilled chicken sandwich with homemade fries. He really enjoyed his!! Definitely going back maybe breakfast next time!!

Different cheesesteak item #1070 in the last five years. I hate myself for loving the Grilled Cheese and Short Rib sandwich. They need to hire people. Taylor is wonderful but she is just one person. She was greeting, seating, waiting tables, bartending, clearing and setting tables. If I'm paying $16 for a grilled cheese and $12 for my Maple Rye Smash, I want more people waiting on me. I did love the sandwich. It was very flavorful and had a good amount of meat. It came with very good fries. I don't know how she found time to do it but Taylor made me a wonderful Maple Rye Smash. PS the plate was cracked.

My husband and I had brunch at 1906 Fine Dining when we visited Longwood Gardens for the first time…read morethis past Saturday and had a wonderful meal. Inside the large conservatory complex at the Gardens, 1906 is the fine dining option when you visit Longwood. (There are other options for Longwood visitors who prefer a more casual or less splurge-y meal.) The restaurant is beautiful, with plush seating and beautiful green tones and windows that look out onto the fountains. It's definitely fine dining. They offer a two-course menu for $65/per person or a three-course menu for $80/per person, with many options for each course. We decided to do three courses each, with an enhancement, too (they offer a few courses as enhancements to enjoy before or during the meal that range $11-15). We couldn't resist - there was much we wanted to try. And what's truly incredible about 1906 is that so much of what they serve comes from Longwood's own gardens! In summer, 70% or more of what you eat might come from the gardens at Longwood, which is special. We shared: chilled watermelon (with lardo iberico, aleppo pepper, and sheep feta) as an enhancement; tune tartare (with cucumber, tomatillo, and veggie "chicharrón") and sunflower seed "risotto" (with a poached egg, marigold butter, and sweet pepper jam) as our two "beginnings"; agnolotti (with sweet yellow corn, pickled stone fruit, and Thai basil) and dayboat scallops (with tempura rock shrimp, charred scallion risotto, Fresno chile, and corn velouté) as our two mains; and berry cremeux (with lime chantilly, compressed melon, and watermelon mint sorbet) and stonefruit financier (with almond praline and fig leaf gelato) for our two desserts. Everything was very good - fresh, creative, and delicious. The desserts were easily our least favorite dishes (the berry cremeux didn't work for me - the texture and the taste made me feel like I was eating a smoothie bowl, and both desserts were too large), but that's being critical. All the food was very good. I had a glass of wine and an NA mocktail, while my husband tried two of their cocktails. All the drinks as great as the food. The service was outstanding. Our server - Ben - was incredibly friendly and helpful (he even gave me some places to check out in the area when we told him it was our first time visiting Longwood). He made the experience special. Another note about the incredible service - a little boy was sat at the table next to us, and I thought - is this a good restaurant for a little boy? What's he going to eat!? But they made him such an incredible meal with sweet touches - mac and cheese with goldfish on top and a dirt cup dessert with such convincing rocks made of chocolate, I was worried he was going to break his little teeth (but it was chocolate)! It was sweet; he loved his meal, and we enjoyed watching him experience it! That's the kind of service you can expect at 1906 - personal and accommodating and welcoming. 1906 isn't your only option for dining at Longwood Gardens. But if you're looking for a fine dining meal with a seasonal menu, the freshest of produce (a lot of it from Longwood's own gardens), and incredible service, make a reservation for brunch/lunch or dinner when you next visit Longwood!

Excellent good and drinks in a gorgeous setting…read more We didn't have a reservation, but we found two seats at the bar. The non-alcoholic drinks were refreshing on a hot day and made with fresh ingredients. Everything looked gorgeous, and flowers/plants make their way into everything. I can't visit Kennett Square without getting mushrooms, and their mushroom pate, with adorable mushroom-shaped toast, was delicious. Presented high on a ceramic stump, it drew the attention of those around us as well. The burger was good, but the tomato tartine was really delicious. We were at the height of tomato season, and the bread was good as well. The grilled tofu was a standout. It was served atop a herb-y sauce and looked beautiful with edible flowers and microgreens. We made a note to book reservations for our next visit. It is well worth a visit.

Perfect for meeting friends having a gathering we're just having dinner on a business trip. There's an above average beer offering as well as a full bar. The salads were very good though, I really liked the strawberry feta one. My mom and I both ordered the 6oz filet medium and while mine was medium hers was very overcooked into medium well/well done. She also had made her order a surf and turf but her lobster was so insanely small and extremely overcooked and tough for $38. The sides that came with each entree weren't anything special either. Very soggy veggies, and the potatoes weren't that good. The bordelaise and bernaise sauces with our steaks were very good though. Aside from the food the service was alright. It just felt like they weren't paying that much attention and that we were always waiting for them to come back to the table for a while. Which I understand they were probably busy, but the restaurant was actually not that full, there were maybe three other occupied tables in the room we were in and they seemed to be taken care of by other wait staff. Also, when they brought our appetizers they brought plates for each of us and it looked like they were dirty so she would grab the top one and shake off whatever was on it on the table before putting it in front of us. It was only when she saw our concerned faces that she explained that it was pepper or something from the appetizer she was holding, but that didn't really make sense for it to be on every plate. Overall I wouldn't come back, I just liked the fried lobster Mac and cheese appetizer, strawberry feta salad, and bourbon toffee cake dessert. The ambiance was also nice I'd say. It was peaceful, elegant, and spacious. It was an alright experience but just extremely overpriced for what we got in my opinion. If it was less expensive I'd maybe give it 3 stars but you can't have such high prices if you don't live up to the expectations that those prices set.

The Butternut Squash Bisque flavored with asiago was definitely a winner too but before our soup course was 1/2 finished and with our Mediterranean Platter's tabouleh still showing its colors and enough hummus to later lead our waitress to ask if we wanted more pita ... the first entree was added to our crowded table. Not sure where the blame lies for the hurried appearance of plates but we were looking forward to a special evening out ... a birthday dinner choice ... a restaurant specializing in small plate dining should be well accustomed to serving diners in a relaxed manner. Upon their arrival I looked at the Schnitzel Medallions but wanted to enjoy the French Dip soup ... I knew the temperature of the food would be decreasing but the soup was so good. Why in the world would the first plate be served while we were enjoying our soup literally with soup spoons in or hands ... no, I did not hear that our flight was boarding ... we were in no rush but we were being rushed. So, now on the small table were our two soup bowls that we were finishing ... the plate still holding quite a bit of our Mediterranean Platter (We did expect to have some small talk after all it was a birthday celebration so we had leisurely started eating this appetizer.), we had the plates that we were expected to eat off of (Mine still had hummus and tabouleh on it.) and this brand new plate with pork tenderloin and asparagus. Maneuvering food became a needed skill. My dining partner put some schnitzel onto her "eating" plate letting soup cool ... I decided hot soup was more important than hot or even warmish pork so I continued to eat my soup but rushing soup made it less enjoyable. So, I finished my soup squeezing the empty bowl into a limited space on the table ... my "eating plate" was crowded still having hummus on it because I rushed my soup .. my dining partner said "yum the Schnitzel is good" while her soup chilled. I took the serving plate with the remaining Schnitzel and asparagus eating off it since it was the only plate with room. Before I took a bite the sliders arrived further crowding the table. Quickly the Butternut Squash Bisque was finished so that she could eat a hot well maybe warm Crispy Fish Slider ... I was still working on the Schnitzel knowing I was going to eat cold fish. And, as we both kept putting food in our mouths foregoing any conversation the Chicken Primavera arrived and looked picture perfect amidst the crowded table but finally the soup bowls were removed ... there's still hummus and tabloeh from that Mediterranean Platter that we didn't have time to finish and the waitress asks if we would like more pita ... sure ... I had just finished the cold slider and was about to try the chicken primavera. She also then noticed my water glass was almost empty and asked if I wanted a refill ...I did but had been so busy shoving food down my mouth that I just barely noticed I needed water (I actually knew I did but no one ever stopped by to ask.). And, just in case you're wondering... our flight still was not close to taking off from the terminal in this lovely lounge (It really is an attractive restaurant to dine in.) that reminded us of a classic airport lounge but it felt like a hallway fast food eatery. We had come to enjoy a leisurely small plate dinner with good conversation...celebrating a birthday before heading off to the theatre. You might be wondering why there are three stars rather than one. Well, the food was all really tasty. I would say it was delicious even though due to the rush the only food I ate that was hot was my soup. We finally did get back to that Mediterranean Platter and yes, we were given more pita and I wasn't rushed eating it because there was nothing left to be served. Oh, it looks like they have some nice outside seating for warmer days. We skipped the mixed drinks ... they looked really good and other folks seemed to be enjoying themselves.

My family and I visited Harvest Seasonal Grill around 7 PM yesterday to celebrate my daughter's…read more21st birthday, and I needed to leave a review after such a great experience. First, the food was excellent, as it always is at this location. That's honestly something we've come to expect whenever we dine here. What really stood out this visit was the staff, especially our server, Jonathan B. We didn't have reservations, and we didn't make a big announcement about celebrating a birthday. Somehow Jonathan picked up on it and went out of his way to make my daughter feel special. Nothing felt forced or scripted. He was attentive, funny, personable, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure we had a great evening. Turning 21 is one of those milestone birthdays, and Jonathan helped make it memorable. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and you could tell everyone genuinely cared about the guest experience. I also believe great staff are a reflection of great leadership, so credit is due there as well. Teams don't provide this kind of service by accident. It's clear there's a strong commitment to hospitality at this location, and it shows. Thank you to Jonathan and the entire team for helping make my daughter's birthday such a special one. We'll definitely be back.

Always enjoy the changing menus---really could use more red blend options…read more Venue option for outside seating was great and service was timely and helpful. Like the larger bar area as it offered a social space while waiting for a table if you didn't make reservations. Highly recommend making a reservation BUT there is great service at the bar for meals.
