We recently had an incredible dining experience at 1904 in Longwood Gardens, thanks to the entire team and especially our server, Mike B. The prix fixe menu for the Garden Glow exhibit was wonderful, and every staff member struck the perfect tone--warm, welcoming, polished, and genuinely friendly. We enjoyed the jumbo shrimp cocktail (featuring special Japanese shrimp), a luscious mushroom bisque with toasted shallots, butternut squash risotto, tofu curry, spaghetti alla chitarra with Maine lobster, pistachio crunch with kataifi, and a chocolate mousse sculpted like a large Kennett Square mushroom. Each course was beautifully crafted, made with exceptional ingredients, and truly delicious. Mike B. was terrific--great personality, warm manner, and an infectious enthusiasm for the food. He walked us through each course from concept to execution, and his energy and attention elevated the entire experience. The ambience, the dining room, and the view overlooking the world‑class fountain garden made the evening even more memorable.

Exquisite dished making extensive use of Longwood Gardens herbs, flowers fruits and vegetables complimented with other locally sourced agreements. Formal service with an ambience that blends with the Gardens

We spent the day at Longwood Gardens on our wedding anniversary and stopped inside 1906 for a quick bite. The space is stunning, it looks new and modern, and well kept just like the garden. Our waiter was nice and friendly. We ordered the lobster beignets (thought it would be lobster stuffed beignets instead of just fried lobsters), the mushroom soup (since we found out this area is known for their mushrooms although lacking strong flavors), and the spaghetti (which also lacked flavor). I think our favorite thing were the mocktails. We got the strawberries & tonic plus the butterfly lemonade. Beautifully made drinks with great flavor.

It's perfect place! Decoration, ambience, service, food... Pretty good! I really enjoyed... Patte was pretty tasty. İ prefer wagyu a bit more tasty. İt was like steak not like Wagyu...But still good. Caramelia their signature dessert . Tasty, Rich,... It's pretty good for anniversary, birthday, proposal, company dinner,...etc

My fiancé and I made reservations for dinner to start our night out for the Christmas lights and to celebrate her college graduation. Only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. They offered coat check which was nice. I do have to say our server Brianna B was amazing! We made sure to let the supervisor know just how great she was. For the holidays they had their special menu, which we both went with the 4 course option. I did the scallops, short rib cantelloni, the venison loin, and the coconut pearl. They were all amazing! Great mix of flavors and timing of the courses were perfect. 4 course option is $115.

I've been to the new venue several times since they opened earlier this year -- the atmosphere and capacity both feel like they were upgraded. Service is professional, and the staff were very welcoming. Every dining experience has been pleasant! I love the seasonally changing menu. There's always something new to try. The staple item I'd recommend would be the pull-apart brioche! Together with the butter, it's out of this world. Warm, puffy, and fragrant... it's perfect! I usually don't eat bread, but I break that rule every time for this brioche. Can't wait to go back again!

I am a Longwood member and have enjoyed the gardens several times. I've never been to 1906 so I was excited to go for my birthday. The restaurant itself is really clean and green. It's beautifully decorated. The staff was well educated on the menu and provided great information about the restaurant and menu. The drinks were great and the food was okay. From fine dining perspective everything was nicely plated and presented but several things truly lacked flavor. My favorite would have to be the Wellington. This menu is seasonal so I'm sure I'll come back again but I wasn't overly impressed! They also didn't do anything special for my birthday which was kind of a let down.

This place is great for its purpose, with the incredible view and for being in Longwood Garden. However, the food itself was very average for the price. We went in a large group and got multiple items to share, from starters like the beet salad, brioche, scallops, mushroom soup, shitaake salad, and the mains including two pastas (pumpkin and crab), the roasted chicken, and branzino. The chicken was probably a let down for being their signature dish, but the appetizers were solid though the portions were small. You'd be going for the ambience rather than for the quality of food but overall still an enjoyable meal.

As a member of the gardens, I love this restaurant for special occasions and especially member appreciation day where you get 20% off. The service and food are excellent in a gorgeous environment with herbs and greenery grown on property. Bathrooms even have crêpe Myrtle topiaries. The bread and fresh butter made on site were delicious. The starters and main dishes and desserts were all outstanding. Not a place for young children please do not bring your kids here. There was a group of about 10 kids with their parents who came in right before we were seated and thank goodness they left.

I had a phenomenal dining experience at 1906. You should absolutely treat yourself to a meal here if you are spending the day in Longwood Gardens. The dishes are inspired and made by ingredients from the garden. It's delightful, fresh and elevated. We started with the pull-apart brioche with honey butter. This was the most beautiful butter I have ever eaten. Decorated with edible flowers and drizzles of local honey, I could not get enough on each piece of fluffy brioche. We also enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes and chilled summer corn soup. These were both refreshing from the summer heat. We opted for two herbal elixirs to drink. These are a great option if you want something fun and bubbly without alcohol in the middle of the day. For our main dish, we tried the summer risotto trio - a kale, carrot and vegetable risotto sprinkled with cracked pepper and edible flowers. This dish was as beautiful as it was delicious. This is a great addition to the seasonal summer menu. We enjoyed a side of brussel sprouts and grilled watermelon alongside our main. The brussel sprouts were shredded with a hint of lemon that complimented the risotto. The watermelon was paired with a whipped feta and seasoned with dill and tajin. It was a sweet and spicy combination that lightened the meal. You cannot skip dessert here. Their signature caramelia cake is absolutely adorable! The entire mushroom, chocolate rocks and coconut leaves are edible. This is the show stopper of an already incredible dining experience. And if you are looking for something extra sweet, order a scoop of sorbet or gelato to go along with it. I highly recommend dining during one of the daily fountain shows. The music is piped into the restaurant, so you can enjoy the magnificent show while enjoying your meal from inside. Thank you to our server who made sure we had a fantastic view of the show, and gave great menu recommendations.

One of the best garden-to-table dining experiences -- and something that's rare to find in NYC 1906 at Longwood Garden is one of the hardest reservations to get near Philly, featuring seasonal menus that change based on what's fresh and locally available. Ingredients come from regional farms -- and even from the gardens themselves. It feels elevated enough for a date night, yet still totally kid-friendly, making it perfect for a Philly family getaway from NYC. Planning tip: All dining reservations require a valid timed Longwood Gardens admission ticket or membership, so be sure to book both in advance.

Made reservations 2 weeks before Mother's Day because I heard that it gets pretty busy. Beautiful ambiance. Expected nothing less. Service was exceptional. They all have a keen eye & fast reflexes to make sure our dining experience was spectacular. No complaints whatsoever. Food was pretty decent. I did receive a phone call a week prior to confirm my reservation. I thought that was a nice touch. The receptionist wanted to make sure that I know they were going to be having a prix fixed menu for Mother's Day weekend. I did wish they have a separate menu for people who didn't want what was on their prix fixed menu though. I've heard wonderful things so I did set the bar a little high. Anyway, I am looking forward to going back again when it's not on a busy holiday weekend.

1906 is Longwood Gardens fine dining option when visiting located at the base of the conservatory. Service is generally pleasant and certain food dishes present very well. The mushroom shaped dessert looks better than it tastes. The dining room moved and greatly expanded with upscale finishes. For this you pay and pay a lot - or just go to the beer garden.

It was a weird mix of service because our plates were taken away by bussers very quickly and aggressively yet we were waiting on everything else. We ended up missing our plans for after.

Purchasing the suggested pairings (ahead of time) added to the overall experience. We also had wines that were brought on preference and the paired wines won out every time as they perfectly complemented the prepared courses. Our two servers were friendly and attentive, explaining every course and refilling our wines without asking. Present, yet out of the way. The atmosphere is very cozy in the back of the cafe at Talula's Table - the original table as opposed to the smaller kitchen table added a few years back. Reservations still take a year (though it's easier to snag a cancelation or weekday as they recently added online reservations in April 2026). However, it was well worth the wait (and I'm not sure why I waited so long to try it)! We left stuffed between the hors d'oevres, eight courses, bread, surprise course, and plenty of wine to wash everything down. We experienced the Spring 2026 menu and look forward to dining again in another season.

We couldn't limit our picks and started with the Grilled Kennett Square mushrooms, Camembert with carrot caramel foam, and the chilled pea soup with mint. We also ordered the Nashville hot catfish and curry soft shell crab. The caramel foam was delicious and paired perfectly with the cheese and bread. The pea soup was refreshing and harmonized well. The mushrooms were simply delightful. The catfish was cooked extremely well, with the crust (with a corn meal crust?) remaining crunchy and the fish juicy, with the seasonings on point and spicy. The curry soft shelled crab was the winner among many winning choices and was perfect. We couldn't stop raving about it. We enjoyed it so much, we overindulged and ordered the lamb. The meat was exceptionally soft, even for rack of lamb. Unable to resist the dessert menu, we finished with the rhubarb sorbet with basil water and granola. My wife is not a fan of rhubarb or basil, but also loved the dessert and its balance and uniqueness. The service was excellent and attentive, and the restaurant is very cute and cozy. My wife has worked in restaurants for years and we were both thoroughly impressed by the execution and care for all the items we ordered. It's one thing to have a creative and unique menu, it's another thing entirely to have that level of execution for it. Thank you!
