This is a hidden gem near longwood gardens. We bring our family/friends here for birthday celebrations and Mother's Day buffet brunch. It's a beautiful restaurant, the ambiance is classy, however, you don't need a suit and tie. The food is all so very delicious, I've never had a bad dish. The desserts are hard to choose from. I normally do the banana fosters which they flambé the bananas in front of you. But this time we went with strawberry bread pudding and hot fudge sundae, both scrumptious. The appetizers and main course was enjoyed by my family. Sherlyn gave excellent service. It's definitely a special place. There are hotels room's attached, however, we've not stayed overnight.

Such a beautiful venue for a bridal shower! We rented the space next to the host stand and had a few tables set up outside. The staff was attentive, the bartender kept the drinks flowing and the food was so delicious. Complete with freshly cut prime rib and a mashed potato bar. We were able to arrive early and decorate. They even had extra vases and flowers we could use for outside. A wonderful venue!

The ballroom is beautiful!

Great wedding venue! The gold ballroom, the patio, and the grounds are beautiful! The food is delicious! Everything was perfect!

The restaurant and conference center were excellent. The servers are their strongest part of their team, i hope they appreciate those servers. The lunch meals were excellent, they out did the dinner! The dinner was also good but not as good as the lunches. Just weird use of gravy (beef) on chicken. I don't think that was a good idea. The energy of the place is positive and i really enjoyed the property. There is a train that comes though every now and then and it shakes the place. Also some of he rooms had mold issues and some of our teammates had to be moved. Other than that, it was a good place and worth the money. Give them a go!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. I had roasted duck which was tender and flavorful with a nicely crisped skin. It came with sides of haricot vert and Yukon gold roasted potatoes. My partner had a Caesar salad with 3 scallops added. The menu allows one to add your preferred number of shrimp, scallops etc. Nice flexibility! The ambience is quiet and upscale. Drinks were generous, service impeccable and prices quite fair. We cancelled our reservation at another place for tonight so we can return here to try other offerings!

This is our first time staying at the inn and have dined at their restaurant a few times and always look forward to our next meal. The bartender poured me the best cocktails throughout happy hour and our meal. We were a party of 7. The service was and is always top notch, and was nice to know that some staff were still there after several years from our last visit. Every entree looked and had high reviews! Thank you for another fabulous dining experience! If you haven't been, take the opportunity and venture out to this Inn and restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Ummm don't walk but RUN to the Mendenhall Inn Restaurant Brunch on Sundays!! When I tell you that this is the BEST brunch buffet by far (& reasonable) I really mean it! My husbae and I came celebrating our 4 year anniversary and we are planning to come back at least once a month!! Lol it was PHENOMENAL . They have a fully loaded seafood station, dessert station, carving station. They have made to order omelets and at the time we were there it was made to order bananas foster. The waitstaff were so accommodating and cheerful! There was also a live band which made the vibe extra cool! I'm telling you, this is the one! It's sundays only from 10-1p and by reservation. You will not be disappointed

Came here for dinner with my wife and infant son on the first night of our 11-day east coast trip,…read moreand honestly it set the perfect vibe for the rest of the trip. The food gives you that fine dining experience without the pretentiousness. The staff is warm and friendly -- shout out to Chet for his amazing service. They were also very accommodating to our son who was in between napping when we began dining, setting up a high chair for us in a way that would allow him to continue sleeping in his car seat. We started the meal off with some seared scallops that were perfectly arranged. Next, my wife had some seared tuna while I ordered the Colorado bison -- both items off of the special seasonal menu. The dishes were incredibly flavorful and the veggies that surrounded the meat added a nice complement. I also really enjoyed my California cab, as did my wife with her house Manhattan. We will definitely be back next time we are in Delaware, and highly recommend to anyone visiting the Hockessin area!

(Server rectified) The pasta carbonara was prepared using guanciale instead of bacon or pancetta. I found it too rich and almost over cooked. The duck wings appetizer my friend had were excellent. The fresh fish entree was delicious. The cheesecake dessert was a thing of beauty. I would probably try again, but it's a half an hour away. (We passed way too many other restaurants to try)

Review specifically for dining, not cafe…read more Spectacular evening with friends at the Farm Table! From start to finish, everything was delightful! Purchasing the suggested pairings (ahead of time) added to the overall experience. We also had wines that were brought on preference and the paired wines won out every time as they perfectly complemented the prepared courses. Our two servers were friendly and attentive, explaining every course and refilling our wines without asking. Present, yet out of the way. The atmosphere is very cozy in the back of the cafe at Talula's Table - the original table as opposed to the smaller kitchen table added a few years back. Reservations still take a year (though it's easier to snag a cancelation or weekday as they recently added online reservations in April 2026). However, it was well worth the wait (and I'm not sure why I waited so long to try it)! We left stuffed between the hors d'oevres, eight courses, bread, surprise course, and plenty of wine to wash everything down. We experienced the Spring 2026 menu and look forward to dining again in another season.

This was a beautiful spot near longwood gardens. Loved the decor…read more The menu had lots of options! I actually ordered off the vegan menu because these tacos sounded so good and they did not disappoint! Our burrata was a yummy starter too. My only complaint was that the dinner took two and a half hours! We were definitely chatty and enjoying the night but our server absolutely could have been by more often. It was a weird mix of service because our plates were taken away by bussers very quickly and aggressively yet we were waiting on everything else. We ended up missing our plans for after.

She listened well to our questions and as I ordered my cocktail, she had it made exactly as I like it! The fresh bread was served on a nice board with three different accoutrements. We also enjoyed crispy Brussel sprouts. I ordered the pasta special; Orrechetta Pasta withBroccoli Rabe Pesto and it was lovely! My husband ordered the Wild Boar Tagalatelle Pasta. This dish was outstanding! My husband ordered the Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding topped with fresh vanilla bean ice cream. It was incredible! Our friend ordered the Sea Bass with Cauliflower Mash. Wonderful! We enjoyed the .5 star cuisine while being relaxed in this comfortable ambiance. We will return!

Zappa, C.W.Stoneking, you don't hear this music anywhere around here. Started with an old fashioned which feature a "well bourbon" for happy hour. Don't recommend. Ordered two of the small plates and the highlight was the Thai shrimp. They were huge (12s?) and just fried crispy enough. The chicken wings got the job done. Came with 9, but my GLP drugs only tolerated 6. Overall I would try again, but with Bulleit Rye and just the shrimp. Or the fish and chips.

We were in a hurry because we had to get ready for an event, but as soon as we walked in we were seated right away. It's one of my favorite drinks, especially when I need a caffeine boost and at that time I definitely did!!) I wasn't planning on drinking alcohol, but it was so perfect that I ended up having 2 of them!! Lol For food, I ordered the smash burger and got fries instead of the salad. It was pretty yummy!
