We are new to the Savannah area and graved from seafood we looked on yelp and found this wonderful gem! We had the fish sandwich catch of the day was grouper and we had it blackened with a spice sauce. The sandwich was so delicious the fish tasted so fresh and perfectly seasoned. The service was amazing our servicer Sydney was absolutely wonderful. Great personality and simply a dear. At the end of our meal as we were leaving we found ourselves having the most pleasant conversation with other members of the staff. We had such an amazing time and most definitely will be back. This place is such a gem, especially for those that love a good lunch. Everything I have ordered I have liked but the tacos and specifically firecracker shrimp tacos are a must. This is a cute local spot. The murals on the walls are beautifully done. Waitress was prompt and nice, food has a great value for the price paid as well. Fried green tomatoes get a 4/5-they weren't greasy and had a sprinkle of feta cheese. Tuna tataki was a very generous portion of tuna that was perfectly cooked, thick slices. However the menu said the tuna was sesame crusted and it came out with a jerk seasoning instead. If it had come out as the menu described this would be 4.5/5 but the jerk seasoning overpowered the tuna and so it gets 2.5/5. Oyster sandwich was well done. Oysters were fried perfectly and weren't greasy to the touch. LTO and thick Texas toast were nice accompaniments. Sandwich gets 4/5. I got a side salad instead of fries and they brought a giant side salad instead of putting some greens on the plate. Mixed greens were a bit tired and some were on the verge of death but the shaved Parmesan cheese on the salad was a welcome surprise. Salad is about 2.5-3/5. I would not object to eating here again, but I wouldn't choose it either if I was given the option to go anywhere I wanted to. The menu was basic American seafood and burger options with their house sauces to make them interesting. My wife and I both opted for the Firecracker shrimp tacos with their firecracker sauce. Our local friends brought us to this place since we said we needed some good seafood one more time before heading back north. It wasn't too busy on a Wednesday night and we were able to get a table easily. Our friendly waitress was very helpful. I started with a delicious rumrunner drink that was not lacking in booze. At $9 it was a good deal given that most bars these days are charging at least $12 for a drink like this. My wife and I got the fish sandwich with the fish of the day. We learned that the fish of the day is apparently always grouper. It was a big piece for fish and grilled nicely with just the right amount of seasoning. Our one friend got the blueberry salmon and he raved about it. I guess it was not the first time he has ordered this dish. We did try a slice of key lime pie for dessert and it was the best we had over the five plus weeks of sampling pie while we were in Florida and Georgia. Do give it a try! They were swearing quite a lot so I guess they thought they should turn up the music they were playing in there (separate from the music playing in the restaurant itself) so customers couldn't hear them. Found ourselves back in Savannah for the first time in three years and decided to go back here twice during our five day stay. It's a cute building and we were seated in the rear/back side overlooking a small stream. The first evening our server was Rachel, she was friendly and funny and checked on us often. Hubby loved his Tybee Tuna and my Firecracker Shrimp Platter was delicious. It had so many shrimp (12), I gave a couple to him. Mine came with red potatoes, which were seasoned nicely. The asparagus was room temperature but it has a tendency to cool off fast. We went all out and had dessert too - Triple Layer Chocolate Cake and Key Lime Pie. Both were moist and tasted great. On our second trip, our server was Anna (I believe). She was also very friendly and helpful since the first item my husband wanted they were out of. We ordered the Crab Dip with chips and pitas (Anna's suggestion to have both chip types). Not only was the dip fantastic but so were the homemade chips and pita pieces (which were crisped on the outside). The entrees were Fish N Chips and Baja Fish Tacos with the fish of the day - Grouper. Never had Grouper before, it had a really nice flavor and worked well with the tortillas. Do yourself a favor and order the Firecracker Shrimp. The shrimp are flash fried and include sliced green onions, diced red pepper and tossed in Firecracker Sauce on a bed of iceburg lettuce. THE ATMOSPHERE - We sat on the back deck which is set in a magical garden area. It's such a fantastic place to eat. Plants and landscaping surround you. A friendly cat walks around looking for someone to pet her and possibly feed her.
