Our first meal on the LEGOLAND part of our vacay per son son's request. We stopped in for lunch and it was empty, probably because everyone is in the park. The order: Kids meal tenders, fries, and soft drinking. You can choose fries or fruit, we'd usually choose fruit but it was blend only with melon. Son son is allergic to melons, so he got lucky with fries today. Tenders were run of the mill and standard theme park flare. Fries are the thicker cut and slight crops outside and soft inside. Castle Burger - aka Half LB Deluxe Cheese Burger that they try to flair up with Horseradish Dijon Aioli, Flagship Cheese, & Artisan Bun. It's a massive burger, so was able to cut in half and share half with wifey. Overall it was an ok burger, I added bullseye bbq sauce to mine as I couldn't really taste their sauce. The downside of the meal drags it down......theme park pricing haha. $17 kids meal and $24 burger/fries. Expected but still woooooof haha. The staff were all friendly and waitress very attentive. The decor is medieval knights and wizards to match the theme of the hotel, with a Lego play area for the kiddos.
Majisto's Chickpea Curry add grilled chicken and Caesar salad great meals. Try to go early before the park closes to beat the rush.
We are here two different times. The first time, we ordered to go and ate the food in the outside patio, which was a really nice option. I enjoyed sitting out there with my family enjoying the nightly bingo the hotel offers. The second time we ate at Dragon's Den was during their breakfast buffet, which was fun with my kids. We ordered a salad and truffle fries from the to go menu when we first dined there. The salad was nice and fresh and the candied pecans were plentiful and my favorite part of the salad. The truffle fries were also flavorful and a fun option. The breakfast buffet is a bit small, but it is enough for families with smaller kids. There are plentiful potato options between the hash browns and the tater tots, and the bacon is nice and crispy. I do wish there were more fruit options like mixed berries to go with the vanilla yogurt they offer. The monte cristo sandwich was a unique option that I don't see at many buffets. I will go back while my kids are young because the options appealed to them.
We came here for breakfast for the two days we stayed at the Castle hotel since it was included in our package and I'm so glad we did. It had some of the best 'free' breakfast dishes I've ever had at a hotel. First off, I would recommend getting a reservation. The line here gets long fast. And, make it an early reservation if you can because it seems like the rush, even with reservations, starts around 8am. We came in around 7:30 each day and basically had the place to ourselves for awhile which was great. Now, on to the food. Like I said, they had some great options. The first day they had a build your own breakfast taco area with some carnitas that really surprised me. I wish I had a ziplock or something with me so I could've taken it with me to much on throughout the day. It was that good. Outside of that, they had your standard fair: eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, the normal. That stuff was fine. I liked the French toast from day one but thought the pancakes from day two were just average. I wish they had larger to go cups for coffee and tea. We had long days at the park and a cup of caffeine to bring in & last awhile would have been nice. Oh well. The theming of the area is nice. They have som awesome builds throughout the dining area that I loved to examine on each trip to the food. I also love that all the tables had little games like checkers that the kids could play with Lego from the giant pool of them at the entrance. It did a good job of entertaining our kids while we continued to eat. We considered going back for dinner, but never made it. If we come back to the hotel, we might try it out. But having this buffet as a 'free' option with our hotel was a great treat to start the day out with. Well done.
We made a dinner reservation at Dragon's Den located inside of the castle hotel after a fun day at LEGOLAND to celebrate our little one's birthday--his pick for pizza and dessert! Our 5:30 PM reservation gave us just enough time to finish a few rides and head over. We checked in around 5:25 PM, waited about ten minutes, and our son loved spending that time building with LEGO in the waiting area and conveniently having a restroom to wash up before dinner. The restaurant has a bright, family-friendly atmosphere--perfect for tired park-goers. The food was tasty, our son got pizza and fries, (later on dessert chocolate cake!) and we got burgers. The portions were good, and everything came out quickly even as the dinner rush kicked in. Overall, it was a great, convenient way to end the day. Good food, good service happy kid, and an easy walk from the park--what more could you ask for?
Went here for dinner on fourth of the july before watching the fireworks. first time here and it was good. We ordered the truffle fried to share - it was a bit salty but the horseradish aioli was new to me and it was enjoyable! I ordered the dragon slayer burger and holyyyy! i wasnt expecting how big it was going to be. I ate half while I shared the other half with my husband. He got the pomdoro (?) pasta and that was good! Our family members got the castle bolognese, steak, and the holiday special that day. Overall good, but salty. We all got dessert- half of us got the ube cheesecake and the other half got the warm apple one. The ube cheesecake was okay - the sauce was okay.. but there were pop rocks on the top which was interesting. The apple dessert was delicious - it reminded me of the dutch apple crumble pie from julian and vanilla ice cream on top. If we were to go here again, we'd probably try something different just to get new experiences from the menu but the apple dessert was the best. The service was fine - it felt rushed at some parts of the dinner. Overall we would go here again.
Staff: The team here is really nice but especially nice was Alexis. He was a really friendly, attentive, and all around great. Quality: The food here was really good. We got the kids salmon, kids pizza, and Dragon Slayer burger. The pizza was tasty, the salmon was good and surprisingly flaky, and the burger ENORMOUS (like the biggest burger I've ever had). Value: On the high side but being at a hotel at an amusement park I would expect this. Overall: We were really happy with our dinner. This is a cool spot within the Castle hotel with a castle theme and fun ambiance. They have activities for the kids here in the restaurant including theater show and bingo.
This restaurant is located inside the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel on the 1st floor, a stairway above the lobby. I gotta say, I commend those servers working through holidays! Lots of them are local students. This place exists mainly for the location and the all you can eat breakfast. The dinner was pleasant as well. NY Steak was great. Well cooked to request and thick enough to enjoy each bites. Breakfast here is what packs the place. It's all you can eat, and reminiscent of a school cafeteria. Screaming kids, tired parents lined up at the bar to get coffees, it gets pretty crazy before the LEGOLAND open up. Keeping up service must be hard in this chaos and the team usually pulls it off. In my case there was a heater malfunction that they were not aware of so outside seats were bone chilling cold. I had to move back into the building to dine.
The good It was really smart how they brought out the kids' food first then the adult food afterward. The kids got to eat and the adults got to help them and then the adults got to eat warm food. I got Cajun shrimp and sausage pasta, steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini and a kids pepperoni flatbread with a side of fruit. I loved the Lego pit in the restaurant that allowed kids to play and build things. There were also two folks who came in to do a little entertainment for the kids. Princess Lego also came by but just did a quick walk-thru. I liked how convenient it was to go to this restaurant from the hotel. There is a giant sleeping Lego dragon on the fireplace on the right of the restaurant. I loved all of the other Lego figures inside that were food related. The bad: My pasta was too salty. We ended up not finishing it. Our server never came to our table after getting our order. The steak was $35 and tasted like something I'd make at home (not interesting or particularly great). The interesting: You typically get charged to your hotel room tab. This might be why the waiter doesn't check up on you as often. We opted to pay there upfront.
The food is better than I expected. We ordered Majisto's Chickpea Curry to share. The portion is huge and I would recommend getting it! Vegan. On a Friday night, there were plenty of tables available. We probably heard 10 birthday celebrations. The Castle's orchard warm apple blossom was my favorite.
The food is ok. You're paying for convenience to eat right next to the park entrance. But that's a bad thing too. The breakfast buffet is your typical eggs and bacon breakfast. There are some other things like carnitas and tortillas. They had some other Mexican options. Again food quality was ok The way things are organized is that it makes for long lines and people pushing around to get things. Like the line covers the drink machine. Etc. inconvenient and because it's breakfast people are in a hurry. Many times people cut in front of me. The experience was negative.

3.5 stars in general, 4 stars for service I had very high expectations for this place, but it was a little bit disappointing. The service is very good but the food tastes like frozen food. The restaurant is the only one at the castle hotel. So it's very convenient for those staying there and coming from the theme park. If you're not staying here, I wouldn't recommend it. Save your money and time. It would be nice to have crayons and kids menus to entertain children while the food is ready. They have a Legos pool at the entrance for children to wait while your table is ready. Thumbs up! We booked this place without knowing anything, but based on what we read on the description from Legoland app QUOTE "With an open kitchen for guests to watch chefs preparing their food, locally sourced food, entertainers, LEGO® themed decor and tasty seafood, pasta and steak options...it's a unique dining experience unlike anything else. " UNQUOTE We didn't see any chef preparing any food. They said we will have "an experience" and other than dinning on a theme restaurant, we didn't experience nothing special. The kids got hamburger with fries, cheese pizza and cup of fruit (basically melon and grapes). Chicken tenders look good too. For adults we got the steak and chicken pesto pasta, I personally wanted then Cajun pasta with shrimps, but they ran out of Cajun. Again, servers are kind and friendly. read more

This review is based on their dinner menu. Came here during our stay at Legoland as me and my kiddo wanted to eat some quality food together. Firstly, the restaurant has a dinner menu which I prefer over buffet style meals, and plenty of healthy options. My daughter really enjoys salmon so she was excited to see a kids plate of salmon , rice , and broccoli. I ate the grilled chicken sandwich on a brioche bun with a side salad. And I have to say I was surprised at how amazing these dishes were. The flavor was so good and the quality was amazing! My daughter's salmon was cooked perfectly and everything else was perfect. It was so good we came back the next day and we both got salmon plates, as they have it for adults as well! Our servers on both nights were kind as well and frequently checked on us throughout our stay at the restaurant. If you're looking for some healthy options this is a great spot to sit down and enjoy a quality meal. read more

1) like most recent reviews this year....it's true the steak is good! It's probably as good or a little better than the best cut of steak at Outback Steakhouse . 2) burgers are not the juicy greasy kind, but it was meaty. Bacon was crunchy at the right spots. Buns weren't dry. 3) bruschetta burrata appetizer I highly recommend this! The bruschetta is slices of colorful heirlooms and there was plenty of burrata 4) waiters were friendly and food was brought out by kitchen staff to ensure your happy with your food. Pro tip: - get the Togo bags! It's a nice souvenir and really good quality bag (see photo attached) . It's a great souvenir or you can use it as a birthday bag lol - just outside of the restaurant your kids can enjoy the hotel amenities without staying there ! Outdoor movie theatre, playground , indoor lego pits , character interaction , and more. Btw this restaurant is overall a solid 4, but bumping it up a star considering its quality dining at a theme park. read more
The place is very convenient if you are in the theme park. It is located inside LegoLand and you don't have to drive out to eat. I came here for dinner. The menus are pretty simple, typical American dishes. But what I love about it, they have varieties of kids meals.. Avocado Mango Salad: mixed greens were fresh. They give good amount of avocado. The cilantro lime dressing was a little sour for me. I'am glad I requested it on the side. Meat Lovers Flat Bread: prepared with tomato basil sauce with tons of meat. Not bad! Creamy Chicken Pesto: it was just okay. To me, the pesto wasn't made from scratch. Tasted like from a mix sauce package that you can get from any market. The Farmers Sandwich: it's delicious and mouth watering. Thick cut of zucchinis, eggplants and bell pepper. They used good bread too. ---- This was my fave among all the dishes we ordered. This restaurant is catered for kids. Tons of Lego's around. It has play area to keep the kids pre-occupied while waiting for their food. Service is not bad, servers keeps-up pretty good. They are friendly and attentive. In terms of prices, I think it is reasonable, they are generous with their portions. read more
My family and I dined at Dragons Den a few times during our stay at Legoland this past weekend. Two times were for their breakfast, which is included for free in the hotel package and once for dinner. Dragons Den is located INSIDE of the Legoland Castle Hotel. You don't need to be a hotel guest to dine there though. Make sure that you make a reservation online via OpenTable prior to arriving! They are only taking reservations, no walk ins at the moment. You get a 5 minute grace period but they also state that they will hold your table for 30 minutes (according to the email I received) in case you're running late. There is inside seating as well as outdoor. All of my visits were inside but I think next time we may try outdoor if the weather permits it. There was a small line each time we visited but it went by pretty fast. The only time we had a short wait after checking in with the hostess was our last day Sunday for breakfast. The restaurant has a pretty neat waiting area decorated with Lego designs everywhere. There are also Legos for kids to play with as well as a cool spinning wheel! They have neat Lego art located within the entire restaurant also, pretty cool to take pictures of with the family! I will say that I much preferred their breakfast compared to the dinner experience we had. Breakfast is served buffet style so there's no rush. You can take as many trips as you want to try their selections of food. My favorite were the pancakes, Biscuits & gravy and their blueberry muffins. My son loved the cereal packs (they offered cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and I think Frosted Flakes?) and he also enjoyed their Belgian waffles! They had a lot to choose from though, each day they had a different "ethnic food" area. Saturday was "taste of Mexico" and Sunday they had "Asian entrees" which was orange chicken - a pretty random breakfast option but at least they tried? All of the breakfast food was nice and fresh. Nothing spectacular or out of this world but my family and I enjoyed it! Now for the dinner experience - honestly I wouldn't recommend to come here if you're paying for the meal out of pocket. Our server, Antonio, was nice and came around every now and then to check on us but I wouldn't say the service is anywhere near 5 star (not that I expected it anyways). The wait time is what really killed the experience for me. My sons food came out much quicker than my bf and I. Even though my son ordered the pepperoni kids pizza and I got the regular pepperoni pizza for myself. We must have been sitting there minimum 45 minutes as our son ate before our food ended up coming out. And honestly my pizza was the exact same as my sons so I'm not sure why the time frame was so far between. It wasn't nearly worth the money we spent. My pizza got cold very fast and tasted like something that would be served at a buffet. My bf did enjoy his burger though! So that was a plus. At the end of the day I'd definitely recommend Dragons Den for their breakfast but not dinner. If you do dine at their restaurant for dinner be prepared for a long wait if you order from the main menu while kids are served an hour in advance! 4 stars though because I really did enjoy their breakfast and the convenience of the restaurant being located within our hotel! read more

Good breakfast buffet, it was better than the food at Castle Hotel in Denmark! It is the only breakfast option open early at the hotel and there was a stunning amount of people eating there at 7:40am when most places would be deserted. There were lines to get in if you didn't have a reservation and a line inside for the buffet, it looked like a large space and every table was full. They have the standard breakfast fare like sausage, bacon, eggs, tater tots, orange juice, apple juice, packaged cereals, oatmeal, fruit, and some breakfast pastries. The unique buffet items when we went were biscuits and gravy and a bellpepper, onion, and mushroom sauté. Everything tasted good, only exception being the bacon which was the very thin almost dehydrated bacon normal to some breakfast buffets. Highly recommend making a reservation a couple days ahead of time. For certain party sizes you can't reserve online, our party of 8 (2 families) had to reserve in person the day before and so glad we did. read more

I didn't have much expectations when eating at a theme park hotel restaurant. Dragon's Den is located inside the Legoland Castle hotel. After a long day it is just easier to eat at the hotel. Beside burgers and pizza, they also have steak, salmon and pasta on the menu for the adults. Hubby and I ordered the steak and pesto chicken pasta. They were both beyond our expectations. The steak were a little over cooked and tough otherwise it would be a four star review. The roasted carrots and potatoes were delicious. The Pesto chicken pasta, wow, that stole the show. So flavorful. The portion was huge so we could have easier split it and still be full. The kid meal- baby got the Mac and cheese with fruit. Nothing to exciting. Basic and the fruit was not as fresh as it could be. read more

Pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much from a theme park steak. I can say that it exceeded my expectations I ordered a NY Steak for $33. The waitress asked me if I wanted A1 Sauce on the side and I said yeah. I can tell you that I never needed it as the steak was packed with flavor. My family liked their orders a lot to. Special shout-out to Divanya. She was an amazing waitress. Anything we needed she got in a timely manner and was very kind and patient with our toddlers. Highly recommend. 5/5 read more

Thank you Kat for booking our reservations when we had trouble with Open Table, our personal service wizard who fixed today's reservation when we woke up late and to Chef Juan who made Judah some of the best gluten free pancakes ever! Our almost two year old has a very severe form of Celiac where he will vomit if exposed to even the smallest amount of gluten. I really love how this restaurant takes such great care of their guests with food allergies and intolerances. We love the variety here along with the very kid-friendly atmosphere. There's also a cool playground the kids can play at while you're waiting along with a huge bin of legos they can build with. We enjoyed the multiple character meet and greets (plus free balloon swords) and sweet servers like Kylee who helped us clean up after our messy boys. Reservations are required. If you're planning a day at Legoland, come here for breakfast and beat the park rush plus get fed some amazing food. We can't wait to come back & are already planning our next trip here thanks to the fantastic service & delicacies. read more
This place is located on the first floor of the LEGOland Castle Hotel. As you enter, you are greeted by the wonderful staff. There is a small play area for kids as you wait to be seated. Don't expect a quiet candlelit dinner as this place is tailored for kids. During weekends and holidays, be sure to make reservations using Open Table as this place can get busy. Dinner here is a full-service sit down restaurant with options for the entire family. I recommend ordering The House Burger and fries, you won't regret it. Two Beef Patties, White Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickles, & Garlic Aioli Served on a Brioche Bun. All of the layers of the burger were delicious, from the juicy beef patties to the cheese and fresh lettuce and tomato. Our family enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which was included for all LEGOLAND Castle Hotel guests. The breakfast buffet features fresh fruit, smoothies, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage and more. There is something for everyone. Thank you Dragon's Den Restaurant and Bar for the food and hospitality. We will return. read more

This is an average A-OK restaurant in the context of just eating food at any restaurant regardless of being at a hotel, amusement park or against it's proximity peers. I was told, not sure if it's true or not, that The Dragon's Den was pretty much the fanciest or most upscale restaurant in Legoland and in either of the two adjacent Legoland hotels. If this is the best they can offer, there's definitely room for another restaurant since this is more of a totally family (and I get it, it's in Legoland, not geared towards adults) dining, but the menu was pretty much like diner or chain restaurant caliber food. Not bad per se, just more ordinary. We did get as upscale as they offered with the seafood and steak along with a shrimp soba dish. We'd come here before on another trip and had their typical bar foods. The prices aren't bad for an amusement park, and portions were okay. You get a % off discount if you have an annual season's pass to Legoland too. The service was off the 1st time we visited, but spot-on the last, and most recent time we came here. Generally it can be a tad slow because it is a large spot with families, so not a step in, get out, quick bite. read more

The food was a lot better than expected. The cheeseburgers were actually pretty tasty. The meat has good flavor. We ordered Oreo cheese cake and the double chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious, the cheesecake not so much. read more

Had to eat here for our breakfast buffet that was included in our booking. First, I tried to make reservations the night before but the web site does not give you the option to. So I called the front desk a d was told that I didn't have to. Sure enough, when my husband asked for a table for eight, they said we need a reservation!!! Selection was food, taste was standard, nothing to rave about. NO ONE came to remove plates from our table. No one said hello. Finally, the lego area was a mess with Legos all over the ground. A total fall hazard. NO ONE bothered to man the place. Saw a Kevin and Alan just chit- chatting amongst themselves when they were right next to the mess. When I told them that they should have someone clear it, I was met with blank stares. Terrible. Personnel need more training please. read more

Always liked this place for breakfast and dinner. It's located inside the LEGOLAND castle hotel and breakfast usually comes with your stay. breakfast it's a buffet style with many choices for both kids and adults. They are just your typical hotel breakfast. For dinner, it's a sit down service with a pretty good selections of dishes. Always seat outside if you have kids, that way, your kids can get to the playground easily while you dine. We like the food and it's decent and servers are always friendly and helpful. Make sure you reserve your breakfast and dinner on OpenTable since they don't accept walk in since Covid. read more
Went here for dinner while staying at Legoland. We ordered the Southern Corn Chowder, Cajun Shrimp Pasta, Avocado Mango Salad and kids hamburger with fries. The corn chowder was delicious. I loved the slight spiciness. Next our meals came out and the portions were huge!! The salad was good but it didn't have much of a mango flavor like I was hoping. The pasta was delicious!!! It had a nice spice too and the shrimp in the pasta were a good size. Next time we come to Legoland we will come back for sure!! read more

Made a last minute 5:00 reservation on a Sunday night. We were staying at the Legoland Hotel next door, it was a short walk over. In the booking app, it said there was availability for bar seating only, but there is no bar. So if this happens, book it! My 3 year old daughter loved the Lego play areas. She played with dad while I waited for food to be delivered. Food was good, not amazing, but better than park food. I had the salmon, rice, veggies. It was perfect!! I would highly recommend and would order again. My husband had the blackened chicken sandwich and my daughter had Mac n cheese with fruit. Note, they DO NOT HAVE A LIQOUR LICENSE HERE! I ordered a glass of wine, yum, and my husband ordered an old fashion, but it was a mezcal with bitters, not a a real old fashion. Go to the bar at the Legoland hotel for hard alcohol. Also, all alcohol is served in plastic glasses, it was weird drinking my $13 wine out of plastic. Service was great! There was one character who came out, but never came by our table so my daughter was disappointed. Overall, food and service were good and if your staying at the Legoland hotel it's a short walk. read more

Does the breakfast buffet have outdoor seating?
Depends on how busy things get. At least during the time we stayed you can seat outside. But sometimes they might close the outdoor seating due to staff shortage. Just request it when you check in at restaurant.
How much is the breakfast buffet?
It's included in the hotel price when you stay at the Legoland Castle.
