    Thank you!!! :)

Our dinner was tasty! What made it even better....... Our waiter! His attitude, attention, and patience was beyond my expectations. I kept bugging him about his Lego mini figure above his name tag. I told him I was told I could trade mini figures he laughed and with a smile he replied not this one sorry. To my surprise when the check came in.... SURPRISE! He placed the Lego inside the checkbook and he sure made us smile. Thank you again it really made my night! I hope you know I appreciate that gesture! You rock! Now for the manager you got a good employee there.

Located inside the Legoland Hotel, directly across from the buffet restaurant Bricks, Skyline Cafe is the only sit down restaurant open all day in the hotel. They serve alcohol here so that could be worth a visit if that's what you're looking for, but the food itself is a pass. The food is more expensive than in the park, takes at least 30-mins after ordering, and tastes like theme park food anyways. You're better off eating inside Legoland as it seems to be about the same food but it'll be cheaper inside and faster.

Located inside the LEGOLAND California Hotel, we dined here because we were staying at the hotel and hungry! We didn't have a reservation. When we came to the host podium, the hostess said it would be a 20 minute wait and that was no problem for us. We went to the arcade inside the hotel to play a bit and then, came back. Our server was so nice and efficient. I was very impressed with the customer service. I ordered the Buffalo wings and really liked it! It's nice not having to leave LEGOLAND California Resort to have a decent meal.

The food and service were amazing. My daughter was able to get a salad with her kids meal. The girls were able to look at the Legos throughout the restaurant. I would 100% be back.

    Overcooked/overfried Turkey Club -2020

Skyline cafe is a great option if you are looking to steer clear of all the little hands getting into your food at the buffet. Located across from Bricks Family Buffet, they serve sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and things of that nature and have a full bar for drinks. The highlight of Skyline cafe is the impressive skine made of legos. If you look closely you will see lots of silly and quirky things. What is so neat is that some of the windows in the buildings light up and you can see something going on in the windows. One of my go-to's here since our first visit 3 years ago is the House Turkey Club with a side of sweet potato fries. In the past the sweet potatoes were yummy and crunchy and fried just right but over time the quality has gone down. I find that fries are now overfried. Service here was very slow even on an off-peak, weeknight. There was hardly anyone here and yet the drink I ordered took almost 20 minites to arrive. When I looked at the bar they were just hanging out. The servers are nice here but service was very slow. In my photos you can see how awesome the food looked back then vs how overcooked and overfried it looks now. I have read some reviews where others think this place was overpriced but in my opinion the portion is pretty generous and can be shared with a small child.

I wasn't expecting much but I was wrong. The food was good! I had Sesame Chicken Salad ($14) and Lemon Roasted Mushroom Flatbread($13). The salad was delicious! And it was big portion. I was so happy. My flatbread was also delicious. It had white truffle oil and I kept eating and eating. LOL My husband had Skyline Dry Rubbed Wings ($13) and Pepperoni Flatbread ($13). There were about 8 wings and lots of carrots and celery sticks. Very filling and goes good with beer. My husband was happy that there were lots of celerys because most place only comes with 3 or 4. We were hungry and didn't know how the portion so we ordered little too much. If we have shared a flatbread, that would have been a good amount. One side of the restaurant had Lego buildings and minifigures. That was great. I wish there were more on the other side too. There weren't anything interesting were we sat down but the food was great so we were good

Gigantic Caesar salad with lotsa cheese. Chicken wing for scale?

Unfortunately, after thinking it over, I still feel the same way. Our family decided to come to Karl Strauss Brewery for dinner since it was close by. We were looking forward to relaxing and enjoying a meal after a fun day at the park. When we arrived, the hostess was very friendly and got us seated quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where our positive experience ended. The restaurant was extremely busy, and it took quite a while before our server came to greet us. We were able to order waters, but even those took a long time to arrive. After another long wait, we finally ordered our appetizers. Our original server, who I believe said her name was Noemi or Naomi, came across as overwhelmed, stressed, and like she didn't enjoy her job. While I understand restaurants get busy, her attitude made us feel like we were an inconvenience. She wasn't very attentive, especially to our kids, who had been at Legoland all day and were extremely hungry. She never came back to take their food order, and we found ourselves waiting longer and longer without any communication. Eventually, another server took over our table. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and apologetic. We explained that we had already been waiting a long time and just wanted to place our food order to go so we could get our hungry kids back to the hotel. She handled the situation professionally and did her best to help, which we truly appreciated. If you're dining with young children, I'd keep in mind that service may not be the best fit if your family needs an attentive server or timely service. Waiting extended periods without updates can be especially difficult for tired, hungry kids. It's disappointing because the restaurant itself seemed nice, and the hostess and second server were both wonderful. Unfortunately, the experience with our original server left a bad impression. While I understand busy nights happen, the lack of attentiveness and communication made for a frustrating experience, and because of that, I don't think we'll be returning.

We were seated on the patio--which was fine because we had our 2 year old with us--but it was 80 degrees out and not a lot of air flow. Our server's name was Kyra or Kyla--I'm not too sure because it was hard to hear her over the music playing. She was nice enough but there must've been sort of disconnect with our toddler's meal. Either she forgot to put it in the POS system and asked the kitchen to quick fire it or the kitchen was in the weeds and we weren't made aware of the situation. Nonetheless, we purposely put the kid's burger in when we put our appetizer in. Her burger didn't come out until 45 minutes after the appetizer got to our table! I'm not exaggerating either--515 we got our fries and then at 6pm a child's hamburger...on a Tuesday! Our entrees were finished and we asked for the bill before it even came out. I shouldn't have had to check on it as a server's job is to know what your table has ordered and make sure it actually gets to the table. I'm extremely disappointed that there was no apology, no discount or comp. to our meal because of this mistake. We won't be returning.

Overall, the drinks and the food were good! When we headed in, we just let them know we were there for a pick up and to sit at the bar while we waited. From the time we called it in from when the food arrived at the bar, it was about 30ish min. After sitting at the bar, it took quite a while to be acknowledged. There were 2 other customers at the bar and the bartender who was there was really only tending to them and drinks made from other tables, she looked at us but that's about it. Eventually another person came over and let us know they would be with us soon. He seemed like he may have been a little newer (or not in the bar part too often), but he was super nice and our drinks came out great! He was a joy! Once the food was ready, we closed everything out and headed back to our room. For food we got the brick chicken, the mac and cheese, and the artichoke hearts. The chicken was pretty good, I'm always worried roast chicken will be greasy but this wasn't too bad. The mac was the highlight for me, and the artichokes were pretty tasty. We ordered the Smoked Salmon Tartine, and it was SO good -- farmer's cheese, capers, pickled onion and dill on their sourdough. Honestly, the food was top tier. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, and after trying the bread we actually ended up buying some to take home! For drinks, we had a matcha latte with oat milk and the canned nitro cold brew. Just a heads-up for my fellow coffee people: the cold brew isn't made in-house, but that didn't stop it from being really good! We liked the coffee so much that we actually went over to the local coffee shop that supplies their beans afterward and bought some beans to take home. And definitely don't skip the bakery. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious, and the chocolate croissant had that super crispy, crackly exterior. I personally would have loved a little more filling to make it slightly more moist, but that's completely subjective -- if you love a crispier croissant, you'll probably LOVE it. The atmosphere might have been my favorite part. It's beautiful, calm, inviting and just has that perfect Carlsbad coastal café vibe. Between the food, fresh bread, pastries and atmosphere, this is absolutely somewhere I'd come back to whenever we're in the area.
