This place is so cute! I love the way they used the space and decorated the different eating areas! They have such a variety of food here, there really is something for everyone. Not only did they have plenty of inside seating, they also had a nice patio area that allowed for dogs! They also have arcade games spread around the venues as well. Very cool space.

Windmill Food Hall is a great spot to hit up if you absolutely cannot decide what to munch on. Located in what used to be Pea Soup Andersen's building, you can't miss the iconic, larger than life, spinning windmill. Here you will find a number of eateries and full sized bar conjuring up craft cocktails and local beers. Food offerings: Thai food, Mexican food, sushi, burgers, pizza, donuts, pho, & lobster rolls. The variety of foods brings in big crowds which leads to limited seating depending on when you visit. Seating is available indoors and outdoor patio seating is provided. Come patient and don't be shy about communal seating. You never know who you'll come across and chat it up with. The food we tried wasn't the greatest but 4 stars overall because convenience reigns supreme. This food hall is great for groups since everyone isn't forced to commit to one specific type of food.

Windmill Food Hall is a fantastic food location for anyone visiting Carlsbad. It is very close by to the outlet and flower fields. Parking is plentiful. There are many food options to choose from. From tacos, donuts, dim sum, pizza, burgers, there's something here for everyone. Prices are quite affordable. Seating is somewhat limited when crowded but isn't impossible to find. The tables have QR codes where you can order directly from the phone. There's also a water station. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would recommend others to come visit.

Came to this food hall around 4:00pm today and ended up trying 5 different places. We were hungry and always like variety. 1) immersion for tasty dessert 2) el puerto for agua fresca 3) classic pho at district 4) drunken noodles at Thai style 5) sushi & musubi at rolled up Clean restrooms. Plenty of parking.

What a cool place! I am highly satisfied by this food hall! There's a bunch of a different and amazing restaurants to choose from! There's have a full on bar there too! Super cool! The sitting areas are pretty cool and I enjoyed my visit so much!

Windmill Food Hall is a fun little spot with a mix of vendors and a cool vibe -- bright up front and darker, moodier in the back. Service was fast too! My sis n law and I shared a few things and I'm still dreaming about the drinks from Secret Sauce and Wok Grill, and the Works sushi burrito from Rolled Up. We also tried the sampler from Asada Gaucho...not really for me -- the flavor was lacking, the meat was cold, and the fries needed salt (maybe even some Parmesan).

A great spot for folks wanting a variety of tastes- I have yet to find my favorite food here after a few visits but everything I have tried so far has been tasty. They have a lot of fun drinks (nonalcoholic), a bar, lots of parking and a small outdoor space. There is always someone cleaning up and organizing the dining room which is much appreciated. The arcade games were unfortunately all empty, not working or in need of some love when we came this time which was disappointing for my 2.5 year old bc this was the first time she was able to play them. There were only 4 other games that just didn't fit her age, we love the enclosed space for her to roam around a bit so hopefully next time the arcade is stocked up! I also believe some spots are no cash just FYI!

This food hall has many different food options which was great for our family of 4 since we all have different tastes. The kids got pizza while my husband and I got Thai food and Argentinian food. There was live music and country line dancing when we walked in. There were many different food stands and all of the restaurants looked really good. The food hall is clean and has video games and lots of different themed areas for seating. It's a great place to stop for food!

I've been here many times since it's opening and I find this spot hit or miss. I recently attended the taste of the windmill event which for me was a miss. Most of the vendors were offering small bites of their usual fare, but the prices were pretty high. There were a few deals to be had though. It's tourist season so it was packed with crying children running around, dogs and strollers. It's loud normally but even more so with a band and said children. It was difficult to move through the areas with tables. When it's not tourist season it's pleasant. You can go with a group and it's easy because each person can select their preferred cuisine. We usually grab our food and a cocktail and meet back at a table either inside or out, depending on the weather. On nice days when it's opened up, you can hear the band from outside and the tables outside are a little bit quieter, which is nice when you want to have a conversation. There has been a lot of turnover of the vendors over the years, but I can always find something i want to try. It's a nice concept but pretty pricy for the portions and unless you know what to get most of the food is just ok.

Nah not the spot. Ive tried multiple items from different places, very hit and miss, more miss than anything. This was the cosmos fries in the picture. Unfortunate cause this place has so much potential. Bigger kitchen off coast hwy is a lot better. Idk if its bc theyre mini kitchens but even then. Very unfortunate!

Great place to hang out and enjoy a beer or all the different delicious food available at the restaurants to eat. Has a nice summer atmosphere vibe and outdoor dining, while you feel the cool breeze from the ocean, which is not too far from here. The Staff is very friendly and welcoming, great place to bring the whole family.

The taste of the Windmill at the Windmill Food Hall! This was a fun little event where you could try little bites from each food spot. There is really something for everyone, from tacos to sushi to pizza, and everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it a great place to hang out with friends or family. With plenty of seating and a solid bar selection, it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for variety all in one place!

Stopping by the Carlsbad Premium Outlets is a fun outing for anyone looking to shop a nice set of outlet stores in Carlsbad where the weather is typically lovely outside. There are plenty of stores along with some food options. There are some name brand stores and some stores not tied to name brands. There are deals regularly, especially around times like Black Friday and before and after any holiday. I often take a book and read it outside in a comfortable chair (hopefully out of the sun) while waiting for her to shop. When we went with her parents once, I sat with my father-in-law outside and we eventually stopped by Starbucks for a beverage. There are more than 85 stores and restaurants at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. My wife's favorite is the Ann Taylor Factory Store. There is also a Coach Outlet, Gap Factory, Michael Kors Outlet, and so much more. Some of the restaurant options include a Blaze Pizza, Starbucks (of course!), Jersey Mike's, Ruby's Diner, Rubio's Coastal Grill, Wetzel's Pretzels, Tea Monks, Panda Express, Oasis Tacos, Mot'to Japanese Grill, and Haagen Dazs. There are other restaurants a short drive from the Outlets if more sit-down restaurants are desired. There are plenty of sales, discounts, and deals. Each day, different sales are listed on their website at https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/carlsbad/deals. There are also military, teacher, and student discounts (all published on their website). Be prepared to share IDs accordingly when taking advantage of the discounts. There is also a free Elite Rewards membership, which you can find out more about at https://plus.simon.com. Each store has its own hours though the general hours at 10 AM to 7 PM from Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 11 AM to 7 PM on Sunday. Movie theater and Dave & Buster's make it good for more than just shopping. Only downside is a few empty storefronts and the food court could use an upgrade. First the good: amazing renovations have improved the shopping experience. New flooring; sitting areas with power outlets and comfortable chairs; very comfortable outdoor living space with modern conveniences; a PAW-sitive environment for a 4 legged friends; a very clean and well maintained modern shopping area. The restaurants are all centrally located. Lots of parking areas with easy access. The bad: a sad commentary on the shopping climate/culture with an abundance of closed and empty restaurants and stores. The online shopping experience has resulted in brick and mortar businesses to experience more and more contraction of their customer base since the pandemic of COVID-19. At the time of my visit, there were a few number of shoppers in the mall. It saddens me to see the effects of the online shopping economy. I will try to support more businesses in physical stores and retail shops. It's difficult when you compete with the low price points and convenience of next day delivery from online retailers.

They have a plethora of stores and restaurants but my favorites are definitely Sephora, Pigment and Salt & Straw. When in the mood to drink beer and whatnot, I love Hardland Brewery! The location at One Paseo is one of my top 5 faves. Parking is adequate. The recently installed a "Premier Paid Parking" option on the 1st level of the parking garage. You can easily just scan the QR code and pay - the only thing that's not cool about this is the minimum amount of hours they have is three hours. They need to have an option where it can be 1-2 hours. I've never stayed for three hours or longer here. However, there is free parking on multiple levels of the structure. Yesterday when I came during the day on a Thursday... It was quite packed! There are customer service of staff at Sephora, Pigment and Salt & Straw is amazing. They have a nice selection of stores such as Roark, Fjall Raven, Faherty, Lululemon, Marrow and more. As far as restaurants, they house North Italia, Jan's Health Bar (their smoothies are my fave esp the Chunky Monkey), Postino (great menu and happy hour menu), Nick's Del Mar, Shake Shack, Cava and more. My ultimate most favorite thing about this place is that it's extremely pet friendly! My favorite thing to do is after shopping I go get myself a scoop of ice cream at salt and straw and then sit and eat out on the sitting area outside with my dog. Pricing at One Paseo is anywhere from mid to moderate to high. my reason for my four star review instead of five is the premier paid parking. The three hour minimum isn't cool with me.
