The Sky Deck is generally a stop on all of my business trips to this part of San Diego. I love the availability of the different breweries and seem to never have a bad beer (the 33 West Coast IPA was my beverage of choice this last trip). Ample seating, sun in your face, and a view (granted... over brownish open space or parking lot, but hey... this is a happening spot). read more

The Sky Deck at Del Mar Highlands Town Center is my favorite place to go. I looove the variety! I always have a greaaat time when I'm there. I highly recommend this super cool spot to the Yelp Community. I recently had the pleasure of celebrating its 5th Anniversary. I enjoyed an afternoon on the front deck listening to live music and dining at participating Sky Deck restaurants offering anniversary specials. It was AWESOME that they also had photo opps and a build-your-own floral bouquet bar. Craft House was very very popular that day; unfortunately, the customer service especially at the bar fell off...but the refreshing margarita made up for it eventhough minimal tajín on the rim. Glassbox was on it regardless of the busyness...bites were delisssh. And shout out to the staff at the Bouquet Bar who were sooo friendly when I checked in and patient with me when I was building my beauuutiful bouquet. They handled the lines gracefully :-) read more

Sky Deck is located at Del Mar Highlands Town Center. There's plenty of parking around, and so many food options to choose from. There's also a brewery upstairs at Sky Deck. I love going to the Marufuku Ramen location here and Parfait Paris for macaron. Glass Box has fantastic sushi, and Urbana is great if you'd like some delicious Mexican food. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is fun, clean, and welcoming. Come here for a good time and lots of eatery options to choose from. When you're done eating, definitely stop by the nearby shops. There's also One Paseo Shops across the street for even more shopping and food options. read more

This is an excellent new vision of what a traditional "food court" used to be. I am guessing this would be more like a public market than food court. A variety of top-notch choices for eating and drinking in a traditional mixed use shopping center. Cool and ultra clean restrooms, plenty of seating for dine in at each shop or open tables for when everyone picks something different but still want to eat and socialize together. Of course, outdoor seating is available as well. Lots of parking in an lot with 100% of the spaces being made for compact cars. read more

Met up with friends from the area at Sky Deck in Del Mar Highlands Town Center and really enjoyed it. There's a lot business packed into one place, and the free parking is definitely a plus if you can find one during busy times. I like the whole structure it has the variety and energy of a food hall, but still feels a bit more like a sit-down restaurant. We ate at Kiin Extraordinary Thai and it was really good. Service was good everywhere we we served. Pretty impressed. Afterward, we went downstairs for donuts and Boba drinks at Sidecar Donuts & Coffee and Omomo Tea Shoppe. Nice way to end the night. Definitely coming back to try other spots next time. A Must visit!! read more

This is a really cool spot. I love the nautical/forest feel on the inside. Super cool that you can sit at the bar and order food from any of the restaurants inside. I ordered food from a couple different places and it was amazing. Drinks were also yummy. 8 think I got a strawberry margarita. Our waitress was really amazing, very funny, and made a speciality cocktail for my friend that I was ok with. I would recommend going here to anyone. read more

Sky Deck is an upscale version of a food court or public market and I am all for it. Inside the venue is just stunning, a good amount of restaurants and bars as well and at night it just gives off cool vibes. There's a good amount of restaurant options and this stunning bar/restaurant in the middle that has this huge tree. My friends and I had reservations at Understory and the drinks there were delicious, the cool things about it was we were able to order food from other restaurants within the venue. Would definitely come back for a girls night. read more

I love Sky Deck--it's such a fun and vibrant place with a great variety of restaurants all in one beautiful space. We tried several different spots, and everything we had was pretty good. The whole atmosphere is very casual and lively, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy yourself. It's perfect for a date night, but also just as great for a family dinner. There's truly something for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood for. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to! read more

This is one of my go to spots after work for dinner and drinks. When I have a good group of students that want to hang out together and unwind, this is the spot I recommend. I've tried the sushi, ramen, Thai, Greek, and Italian for dinner before top choice is ramen. I love the idea of being able to sit in the middle at understory and order cocktails from them and then food from around. It makes it so much easier for large groups with varying taste or preference. I haven't done this in a few months so I hope it is still the case. The drinks at understory are really good. read more

I came here on a Saturday evening and had a great experience. Parking was easy to find, which was a nice surprise for a weekend. Sky Deck offers a wide variety of food and drink options. I enjoyed a couple of alcohol-free drinks at the Understory Bar. It had a great atmosphere and well-made drinks. Overall, a fun spot to hang out in Del Mar. read more

Sky Deck is essentially a food court with multiple restaurants of various sorts located inside the second floor of an outdoor shopping center. Outdoor parking lot available and gratis! My recent visit was exploratory and to also catch the tail end of Dan Diego restaurant week, as at least three restaurants were participating. Once you ascend to the second floor, sky deck feature an outdoor fireplace with bright blue Adirondack seats placed in circular setting was inviting and cozy. Inside the food court hall, you'll be amazed by the open space and soaring ceilings featuring sky lights to illuminate natural light indoors. I'm not a fan of food courts and don't frequent them but this one was clean, had positive energy and great vibe. Not all, but most staff from the restaurants were nice and friendly. With a handful of eating options, you're bound to find something to eat and enjoy while at the sky deck. Recommend read more

Love the skydeck! There's a big beautiful bar in the middle surrounded by an assortment of restaurants. There's ramen, sushi, thai, americana, italian, mexican, a french coffee shop, etc.. Upstairs there are a couple of brewery tasting bars... Its a cool place. There has been a little bit of turnover with some of the restaurants but they keep bringing in a new flavor.. read more

I truly like the Sky Deck concept, and we enjoy several restaurants here, but it is LOUD. By the time most of the restaurants reach 40-50% capacity, the noise level becomes annoying and increases to unbearable ... creating a very unpleasant dining experience. The restaurants here tend to be Asian ones or bar restaurants. There's a very good Italian restaurant, as well as a bread and pastry shop at the front entrance. Restrooms are located in the right rear corner. read more

Really cute food hall with multiple options for food, good for hanging out with friends! There's a deck on roof floor where you can order beer and scan QR code to order food (and the restaurants will deliver the food to you). Food options themselves are good but nothing out of the ordinary; we like to come more for the vibes. Very easy to park since it's in a large shopping plaza but can get busy on weekends. read more

Sky Deck Food Hall in Del Mar is one of those hidden gems you almost miss if you're not looking for it. You'd never guess it's tucked inside a large outdoor shopping center, which makes discovering it feel like a little victory. My husband and I love doing our research and finding new places to explore, and this was one of those adventures that led to something really special. Once inside, you're greeted with a variety of amazing food spots, making it perfect for anyone who wants options or is dining with a group. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, with a bohemian vibe full of warm wood tones and lush greenery that makes the whole place feel relaxed and inviting. Upstairs, the Brewer's Deck tap room is such a great addition, offering a fun space to hang out with a good selection of drinks. Urbana and Craft House were definite standouts for us. Both delivered on flavor and quality, and we'll definitely be back for them. We're already looking forward to trying the rest of the spots. Overall, this place turned a simple outing into a memorable experience. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Very beautiful building with lots of options to pick from. It's a bit expensive and on the upscale side, but if that's what you are looking for this is a place for you. What a choice. Everything under one roof. We had south of the border cuisine, but you can try almost any food type. Not your average food court. This elevates the food court experience to a whole new level. Quality food friendly service, clean and well maintained. Parking is a bit tight in the middle of the day. Try it you'll like it!!! read more

Really cool concept for a mixed dining area. It's like the world's most upscale food court. We sat up top on the balcony, enjoyed some local beers and hard kombucha. Hard to beat atmosphere and generally just a good vibe, and the ability to have food delivered to your seat is unbeatable. read more

Amborgio15 has a nice atmosphere, but the food is very mediocre for the price. The waiter asked if we wanted water or sparkling water, but never told us that it costed extra just for sparkling water. The gnocchi was also too dense and wasn't hot enough. I also asked for the sausage to be removed because I don't like pork, but they still made me pay full price. There are so many restaurants that are better quality. read more

Not sure what to call it, it's too elevated and pretty to call it a food court! I think its a great addition to Del Mar. It gives you downtown vibes without having to schlep all the way there. Great for a girls night out. We've been there for lunch at one of the many restaurants, as well as for beer at their brewers sky deck which is so cool! TBH, it's REALLY empty most of the time...so you should have no problem with walk-ins. I think it's because their prices are pretty insane. They should offer some more happy hour options and I think they'll have a lot more visitors! read more

Great atmosphere made even better with great company! Sky Deck is full of options if you're hangered and thirsty. It's located right above Jimbo's in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. The parking lot is huge, but on busy days and nights, it can get tight. You can find everything from beer to sushi, pizza to pasta, and everything in between. Yes, they have ice cream, pastries, and even macarOns! The night I came, a group of us had gathered together to say "see ya later" to a good friend who was deploying for a few months. We met up at Brewers Deck, where they have an assortment of beer to choose from. I got my food and drink elsewhere, but they let you bring food in from another establishment, which was cool. This is Carmel Valley, so it's fancy schmancy, lol. The decor inside Sky Deck is breathtaking! The open spaces make it perfect for enJOYing the San Diego weather anytime, day or night. I highly recommend coming here for a good time! read more

Lots of options in this mini food hall with tons of partial open-air space! I'd driven past this plaza a dozen times and had even stopped for Sweetgreen at least twice, but never once noticed the food hall above Jimbo's, so it felt extremely surreal to wander upstairs and find a whole collection of food options including Italian, Mexican, Japanese and American cuisines. We came for the buck a shuck during Happy Hour at Glass Box. There aren't many places that still offer $1 oysters so this gem must be protected at all costs!! We were seated in the back, veery close to the kitchen, but it meant we had a great view of the hustle and bustle everywhere else. It's definitely a great choice for a date night spot. The oysters were extremely fresh and drink options were plentiful! read more

I heard a lot of good things about this place but after going here myself, i guess it was sadly all hype. Sky Deck offers a trendy, open-air dining experience with a variety of restaurant and bar options under one roof. The ambiance is vibrant and upscale, making it a great spot for date nights or group outings. The rooftop vibe, complete with string lights and stylish decor, adds a charming touch. I definitely enjoyed the vibe. As for the food, it depends on where you order from, but the variety ensures there's something for everyone--from sushi to tacos to craft cocktails. While the atmosphere is fantastic, the service can feel a bit rushed during busy hours, and prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes. Overall, Sky Deck is more about the lively vibe and location than groundbreaking food. Worth visiting if you're looking for a chic spot with lots of options! read more

This place was absolutely gorgeous! Located in the Del Mar shopping area that has the Cinepolis and across the street from Susie Cakes. Parking was easy coming on a Thursday afternoon, but I can see it being packed on the weekends. Beautiful indoor food hall with a great selection of eateries. Plenty of dining areas inside and out. Bar was upstairs but didn't get a chance to visit. Ended up dining at Glass Box and had a great time; the food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Del Mar area in San Diego. Recently treated a friend here for lunch and we were both so impressed! Such a cute little date night spot! In the evening when all the lights are on, it becomes a nice ambiance. And the outside has a huge fire pit you can sit around! I like the concept that you can sit at the main bar area in the center of the building for some drinks (at Understory) and have the option to order food from the restaurants through the QR code. The food is brought to your table if you are seated at Understory. The cocktails at Understory were good and creative. Surprisingly pretty strong and not watered down or diluted. I don't quite remember what my friends got, but my drink (in the elephant cup) was their version of a Mai Tai. I would come again as the plaza it's in is also very lively and has other restaurants/ desert options. read more

This place is absolutely beautiful. Great place for families, friends, or dates. Located above Jimbos in Del Mar, the food hall has a variety of dining selections. If you sit at the bar in the middle, you are able to purchase food from the surrounding restaurants via a QR code. They will bring you your food at the bar.
