I love going to the Marufuku Ramen location here and Parfait Paris for macaron. Glass Box has fantastic sushi, and Urbana is great if you'd like some delicious Mexican food. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is fun, clean, and welcoming. Come here for a good time and lots of eatery options to choose from. When you're done eating, definitely stop by the nearby shops. There's also One Paseo Shops across the street for even more shopping and food options. read more

There's a lot business packed into one place, and the free parking is definitely a plus if you can find one during busy times. I like the whole structure it has the variety and energy of a food hall, but still feels a bit more like a sit-down restaurant. We ate at Kiin Extraordinary Thai and it was really good. Service was good everywhere we we served. Pretty impressed. Afterward, we went downstairs for donuts and Boba drinks at Sidecar Donuts & Coffee and Omomo Tea Shoppe. Nice way to end the night. This is one of my go to spots after work for dinner and drinks. When I have a good group of students that want to hang out together and unwind, this is the spot I recommend. I've tried the sushi, ramen, Thai, Greek, and Italian for dinner before top choice is ramen. I love the idea of being able to sit in the middle at understory and order cocktails from them and then food from around. It makes it so much easier for large groups with varying taste or preference. Inside the venue is just stunning, a good amount of restaurants and bars as well and at night it just gives off cool vibes. There's a good amount of restaurant options and this stunning bar/restaurant in the middle that has this huge tree. My friends and I had reservations at Understory and the drinks there were delicious, the cool things about it was we were able to order food from other restaurants within the venue. Sky Deck is essentially a food court with multiple restaurants of various sorts located inside the second floor of an outdoor shopping center. Outdoor parking lot available and gratis! My recent visit was exploratory and to also catch the tail end of Dan Diego restaurant week, as at least three restaurants were participating. Once you ascend to the second floor, sky deck feature an outdoor fireplace with bright blue Adirondack seats placed in circular setting was inviting and cozy. Inside the food court hall, you'll be amazed by the open space and soaring ceilings featuring sky lights to illuminate natural light indoors. I'm not a fan of food courts and don't frequent them but this one was clean, had positive energy and great vibe. Not all, but most staff from the restaurants were nice and friendly. Not sure what to call it, it's too elevated and pretty to call it a food court! I think its a great addition to Del Mar. It gives you downtown vibes without having to schlep all the way there. Great for a girls night out. We've been there for lunch at one of the many restaurants, as well as for beer at their brewers sky deck which is so cool! TBH, it's REALLY empty most of the time...so you should have no problem with walk-ins. I think it's because their prices are pretty insane. Bar was upstairs but didn't get a chance to visit. Ended up dining at Glass Box and had a great time; the food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Amborgio15 has a nice atmosphere, but the food is very mediocre for the price. The waiter asked if we wanted water or sparkling water, but never told us that it costed extra just for sparkling water. I like the concept that you can sit at the main bar area in the center of the building for some drinks (at Understory) and have the option to order food from the restaurants through the QR code. The food is brought to your table if you are seated at Understory. The cocktails at Understory were good and creative. Surprisingly pretty strong and not watered down or diluted. I don't quite remember what my friends got, but my drink (in the elephant cup) was their version of a Mai Tai.
