Every time that my wife and I travel to San Diego, somehow we always find our way to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Sometimes I will just be the two of us, and sometimes a larger group. Stopping by the Carlsbad Premium Outlets is a fun outing for anyone looking to shop a nice set of outlet stores in Carlsbad where the weather is typically lovely outside. There are plenty of stores along with some food options. There are some name brand stores and some stores not tied to name brands. There are deals regularly, especially around times like Black Friday and before and after any holiday. I often take a book and read it outside in a comfortable chair (hopefully out of the sun) while waiting for her to shop. When we went with her parents once, I sat with my father-in-law outside and we eventually stopped by Starbucks for a beverage. There are more than 85 stores and restaurants at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. My wife's favorite is the Ann Taylor Factory Store. There is also a Coach Outlet, Gap Factory, Michael Kors Outlet, and so much more. Some of the restaurant options include a Blaze Pizza, Starbucks (of course!), Jersey Mike's, Ruby's Diner, Rubio's Coastal Grill, Wetzel's Pretzels, Tea Monks, Panda Express, Oasis Tacos, Mot'to Japanese Grill, and Haagen Dazs. There are other restaurants a short drive from the Outlets if more sit-down restaurants are desired. There are plenty of sales, discounts, and deals. There are also military, teacher, and student discounts (all published on their website). Be prepared to share IDs accordingly when taking advantage of the discounts. Small shopping center next to the flower field, I mean directly next to it! Found a cute purse at Coach that wasn't sold online anymore n was sold out everywhere else! Workers were very attentive and helpful. Actually had to go back and buy it bc I couldn't stop thinking about it lol Went to the toy store and found rare stuff my son was hunting for so that was a treat. The staff there were also very helpful and gave my son few free sleeves for his one piece cards. The place is very small, very clean and all the stores were organized. It wasn't very packed on a Saturday, it didn't feel that way but the parking was a hot mess. Lol maybe bc they share parking with the flower field. My favorite is the view of the flower field next door. Really is heaven on earth when you see such colors surrounding you. read more

Very strange that majority of the sales being advertised at the outlet stores here are "Buy 1 Get 1 50% off".. which to me, isn't much of a deal. Where's the 60, 70% off? Lol. I guess not too common nowadays. These outlets in general is pretty standard with pretty empty crowds so it's not hard to find a parking spot. The vibes here feel like more of a casual mall with the food and iced tea shops having more people in line for than any of the retail stores. However.. I was able to find a great deal at one of the stores! Still worth walking around to look and browse through some stores. Children activities.. they have a fun life-sized checkers board to play with and even a train ride. read more

Know what things are worth before you come here. Higher prices than the manufacturer's website and department stores. Converse on the Nordstrom site for $65 (full price) were $100 at the Converse store. Crocs that were $49 on the website for $79 in the clearance aisle in the store. They really should drop the 'Outlet' portion of the name of this place and just keep it was Premium since this mark up is what you are getting when you come here. Fashion Island and Fashion Valley have a way better selection of stores, more inventory and better pricing. Update: To the business owner's response, please follow up with your tenants why they are selling 'outlet' branded products for significantly above the full resale value from their manufacturer's site. As shared by many reviews, the outlet features a wide range of stores, from luxury labels like Coach to popular brands such as Nike. The open-air layout is pleasant, and the center is well-kept, making it a comfortable shopping experience. Deals are available so be the bargain hunter!! With plenty of parking and dining options nearby. Like many "hub spots" the area is now equipped with EV charging stations for both Telsa and non-Telsa (EVGo). Haven't been here in about a year and looks like they have some new additions. I went into the croc store here and they are so many cute style and collabs! I love crocs so much and this is prob my fave crocs store I've visited. I came after the holidays so it was jam packed every where. They even had a chik fil a stand selling sandwiches I've never seen that before. Honestly, considering this is an outlet, most of the stores don't seem to have many sales or that big of a discount to me. Still nice place to shop with plenty of options for everyone read more

I am beyond angry with Sunglass Hut and how they handled a $654 charge that should have been refunded months ago. On 12/18, I placed an online order for sunglasses with in-store pickup selected and was immediately charged $654. Shortly after, I received an email saying the item was not available for pickup and would instead be shipped to the store. That same day, I called the store directly and was told they had the sunglasses in the back and to come pick them up. When I arrived, I was then told I could not receive them under my existing online order and was forced to purchase the exact same sunglasses AGAIN in a separate transaction. The store assured me that once the original online order arrived, they would return it on my behalf and issue a refund for the original $654. I trusted them. That was my mistake. Weeks passed. No refund. I returned to the store and was told the original order had been received and returned, yet no receipt, no confirmation, no proof of refund was ever provided. I contacted corporate customer service, who confirmed: Their system still shows the original item as DELIVERED TO THE STORE, with NO RECORD of a return or refund ever being initiated. I relayed this back to the store. They once again promised the refund would be issued. That conversation happened over two weeks ago. Still nothing. As of today, the $654 charge is STILL on my account, despite multiple assurances, multiple follow-ups, and zero documentation to back up the store's claims. Sunglass Hut has now taken my money, provided no product for that charge, and cannot produce any proof that they returned or refunded anything. This is not a mistake, this is gross incompetence at best and extremely unethical at worst. In attempt to "help" me the manager Yvette has given me her direct cell phone number but is now not replying to me. Save yourself the headache, the stress, and the risk of being double-charged. I will never shop here again, and I strongly recommend others think twice before trusting this company with their money. read more

A decent size outlet if you're in the area and want to get some shopping down. We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday and the place was empty so it made walking around very easy and comfortable. The sales are similar to most of the premium outlet store and we scored some great deals at Under Armor/Nike. I had a really disappointing experience at the Crocs store. When I first walked in, an employee named Dominic offered help, and I politely declined because I wanted to look around on my own. A few minutes later, when I did need assistance, I went back to him and asked for help. His response was shockingly rude--he told me, "Don't talk to me, you didn't want my help before, so I won't help you now." I was honestly taken aback by how unprofessional and dismissive that was. When I brought this to the manager's attention, they didn't seem to take the situation seriously or make any effort to resolve it. Customer service should never feel retaliatory or disrespectful. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I hope the store takes steps to address how customers are treated. read more

Tons of amazing stores. Large selection of options for men, women, and children. Good value at many of the shops.

I don't get up to Carlsbad often, but this outlet mall has some really good stores with even better deals. You might take some time to browse around, but it'll be worth it. I have never left here without buying a few items. And spending a couple hundred.. Of course I wouldn't wanna waste a long drive up here and leave empty handed. Micheal Kors, Tory Burch, Gap, Converse, Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren, are just some of the stores we check out. I do get tired of shopping after an hour or so, and feel ready to eat or drink somewhere with or without the lady. For food options there is Blaze Pizza, Panda Express, Rubio's, Jersey Mike's, Ruby's Diner and few other lesser knowns. Plenty of parking, though the lots in front can fill up. As is at any outlet malls, many people come for the deals just like I do. Just drive around the back, and you will eventually find a spot likely after circling around a bit. read more

Outlet malls are so hit and miss. You've got to be really discerning, because not everything you find here is actually a deal. For a lot of the shoe stores (New Balance, Nike), the prices are pretty similar, if not more, than what you'd find online. There are a few of the clothing stores that I have found some great items at like the Ann Taylor. Fashonphile is also a great place to shop for pre-owned, luxury items! Le Creuscet is another go to for me because they have the majority of the products I'd buy from Crate and Barrel and often have popular colors in stock! Overall, a fun place to shop around and easy to park, but deals are hit or miss! read more

I found this outlet to be small and the prices weren't cheaper than other outlets. However, I did like that it was outdoors and the area was mostly clean and the stores they do have are enjoyable for consumption. Parking on a Saturday evening wasn't too bad either but you do have to scout the area to find parking, took us about 4 mins. There are not too many restaurants and unique cafes or whatnot. Tory Burch = No line but busy inside. However, I got my shoes and earrings easily! Gap = No line and the selection was pretty good. I am so used to going to the UTC and Fashion Valley malls that never went up north to check these outlets. I was in the area for something else and stopped by to check some stores. For some reason I was not very impressed with this mall, I was expecting luxurious landscaping, places to sit, and a more beautiful look. Outlet Mall is a destination before school starts up again. Our quest was for shoes and clothing that are of prime importance when beginning middle school and high school. We walked from one end of the Carlsbad Premium Outlets to the other far corner. We stopped at several of the main brands, such as Levi's and Sketchers and Van's and Under Armor and Chicos, and several more. One observation was that we came during a weekday afternoon, and it was definitely less crowded. The sun, however, made for a real warm day, and one wish is to have more bench seating in the shaded areas of the buildings. Yes, there were seating areas, and tired patrons looking for a rest haven. The shopping was a value filled and successful endeavor, and the young students will be ready. read more

Small outlet mall, right off the freeway while passing through Carlsbad. We came here the weekend after Memorial Day, so it wasn't very crowded. There is plenty of ground level parking in front of each store, allowing one to be in and out quickly. It has a very similar selection of stores as other outlets in the area. We walked the entire area (with some stop-ins) in about an hour. Noticed the the word 'premium' is used for all outlet malls these days, all having the same mix of brands, but none of them having the top designer and luxury brands that don't want to be mixed with the word 'outlet'. But there are some 'outlets' that have brands like burberry, gucci, jimmy choo, lagerfeld, prada...though not in the SoCal area (I think). read more

I special ordered a pair of legging which I paid for and had them shipped to the store for pickup. I received an email stating they were in on Weds 12/31. I went to pick them up on Friday 1/2 and they had canceled my order and sold it to someone else! They claim it's their 48 hr policy ( something not stated in the email I had received) but the fact I drove 30 minutes to pick up a product I ordered and paid for only to have them cancel it and resell it, is unacceptable. The customer service here is laughable! You would think a company that sells quality products would also have stellar customer service. Obviously not the case! I will take my business elsewhere! I love the outlets here. The place has a lot of stores to choose from. My favorite place is the New Balance store. They have a lot of good deals, parking here is never a problem and the service in these stores is generally good. I feel a lot of the places have good prices and often have a lot to choose from.
