The fries are served with either ketchup or aioli and I went with the aioli which was a perfect dip.

I enjoyed sitting out there with my family enjoying the nightly bingo the hotel offers. The second time we ate at Dragon's Den was during their breakfast buffet, which was fun with my kids. We ordered a salad and truffle fries from the to go menu when we first dined there. The salad was nice and fresh and the candied pecans were plentiful and my favorite part of the salad. The truffle fries were also flavorful and a fun option. The breakfast buffet is a bit small, but it is enough for families with smaller kids. There are plentiful potato options between the hash browns and the tater tots, and the bacon is nice and crispy. I do wish there were more fruit options like mixed berries to go with the vanilla yogurt they offer. The monte cristo sandwich was a unique option that I don't see at many buffets. I will go back while my kids are young because the options appealed to them.

The order: Kids meal tenders, fries, and soft drinking. You can choose fries or fruit, we'd usually choose fruit but it was blend only with melon. Son son is allergic to melons, so he got lucky with fries today. Tenders were run of the mill and standard theme park flare. Fries are the thicker cut and slight crops outside and soft inside. Castle Burger - aka Half LB Deluxe Cheese Burger that they try to flair up with Horseradish Dijon Aioli, Flagship Cheese, & Artisan Bun. It's a massive burger, so was able to cut in half and share half with wifey. Overall it was an ok burger, I added bullseye bbq sauce to mine as I couldn't really taste their sauce. The downside of the meal drags it down......theme park pricing haha. $17 kids meal and $24 burger/fries. Expected but still woooooof haha. The staff were all friendly and waitress very attentive. The decor is medieval knights and wizards to match the theme of the hotel, with a Lego play area for the kiddos.

Once seated, the hostess passed me an envelope with a sweet card from the GM congratulating us on our special milestone. I got a refreshing lychee mocktail. All the food was fabulous. We started with their hanging bacon and their complimentary bread rolls. The hanging bacon slices were thick, beautifully presented, and delicious. We also got the scallop entree for an appetizer. It came with 6 huge, tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned scallops and an extraordinarily delightful sauce. I held onto the sauce for my steak! We each got a steak- petite filet mignon medium rare for me, and bone-in ribeye rare for my husband. They were cooked exactly as we ordered and absolutely scrumptious. At the end we got the Triple Chocolate Bomb which was rich, decadent, and gorgeous. It also came with a very personal touch - a note written in Chocolate on the plate! Incredible attention to detail for each guest. Service was extremely attentive. Our water glasses were refilled frequently! They paced the courses well and did not make us feel rushed. Lighting was dim but each table's light could be brightened for menu browsing. A couple of additional delighters-- the toilets automatically open their lids when you are there, they auto-flush, and their lids auto-close. I love the high tech and very clean bathroom. They also called me the day after our visit to thank us for visiting. Top notch service!

Just wanted to write this review to say a BIG THANK YOU to Draft Republic in SM for having a…read morespeakeasy pop-up for the movie, Wicked. I'm a huge Wicked fan and was excited to see this event advertised on Yelp. This restaurant was the only one in North County I can think of that acknowledged the movie when it was about to be in theaters. First of all, it was easy to get to based on my GPS but kind of challenging to find their parking lot. I ended up finding a 2-hour parking on N. City Drive which was in walking distance. All I was thinking of while walking up to Draft Republic is that this place is massive. Inside, the hostesses verbally instructed me where to go...came across bowling...arcade games...sports on tvs on my way. Behind the curtains, I entered the room in awe. Draft Republic really went ALL OUT!! The Wicked witchy vibe was sooo magical. I loved the beautifuuul Elphaba/Glinda decorations, cleverly creative themed menu option names, actual movie playing in the background, and the take-home momentos. Nick and staff were super wickedly friendly too. The Wicked Bites, Grimmerie Shots and Wickedest Cocktails were all FANTASTIC!!! I definitely tasted Draft Republic's wickedness. I appreciated everything about this experience....well well done. What a WICKED TIME! I hope there are more speakeasy pop-ups in the near future :-)

I want to start by saying that for whatever my opinion matters (and it should matter very little),…read morethis is just how I came away feeling about this place. Because Draft Republic is a rough place to quantify. The food is pretty good; if going off that alone, this place would easily be four stars in my eyes. But, it's not ... Draft Republic is trying to be a bit closer to like a mini Dave & Buster's (a place I have come pretty close to loathing). With an arcade, a bowling alley, a golfing simulator, a full bar, pretty extensive menu, good music, and a fantastic staff, they really have a lot going for them with a little something to make anyone happy. My own issue deals solely with the cost. Came here with my son, all we did was eat two entrees and an appetizer between us, and did nothing else. With drink and after tax and tip, the cost was well over $90. No games, no play, just burgers (plus fries and poke tacos) for two, costs as much as many Californian's net after a full day of work. When you're used to feeding the whole family for about half as much when going out (or a little more when eating sushi), that price was a bit rough. Still, the food is very good. My son and I each ate The Draft Republic Burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful, and the toppings were high quality. The fries were crisp and salted well. And the side salad wasn't too bad. Both of us ate our entrees and gave it high marks. We had started with the Tres Poke Tacos, where the Tuna was very tasty, steeped in a flavorful marinade, and felt nice and fresh. Definitely a good starter. And the restaurant itself is gorgeous. A lot of space, beautifully furnished, kind of industrial meets art deco with some new age greenery architecture thrown in. I like it a lot. But, as an aging Gen-X'er, who used to go to arcades back in the day, and hates what new arcades have become, the amenities are under appreciated by me. All of that pads the price tag a bit out of what I am willing to pay just for dinner. Which may not be fair to Draft Republic, but that's where it left me.

Rich confessed mid-lunch, as he slid his across the table to me, had NEVER eaten a salad, not once, in his entire life. strange, right? I remember my very first "real" salad. I was eight-years-old. the only way I'd ever eaten spinach was straight out of a can (generously "seasoned" with Tabasco so it was edible). then one evening, my mom whipped up a spinach salad with bacon, red onion, and hard-boiled eggs. the experience was transcendent. funny how a simple act of eating with friends can generate sweet and loving memories.

We ordered online but my son wanted to order more beer buddies so we called that in and they told us it would be ready about the same time as the other order. Parking was easy, but it was also raining. Once you walk in signs point you in the direction needed. We paid for our order of beer buddies. No problems there at all. Lady was nice. The first part of our order came out first and the buddies about 10 mins later. Which we understood. It was busy so we didn't mind waiting. I like that they will give you the extra sauces without getting annoyed. Sometimes I feel like the cbad employees get annoyed if we ask for more then 2, but we like sauce lol We grabbed our items to go but did notice they have an upstairs. We will explore more next time. We will be returning.
