Food is good but pricey as it is an amusement park. Sandwiches are freshly made providing a somewhat healthier option than other locations in the park. The sliders and Mac N Cheese are ok. Love the self serve Coke machine with all the options. Note, some people find it a little complicated to operate the first time. It being Lego Land, they have lego for the kids to play with. A good day option is the park in the morning, the aquarium mid day, here for lunch, then back to the park. Place is not very crowded and air conditioned so it provides a nice place to break for the day.

Your best option for Legoland dining. Sliders http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/MOa-GahoHWbhn5NzHWRSQg?select=u4DEQL1yVCWbD5IbElrIIA You don't have to pay for admission into the aquarium to dine at Ocean Journey.

Ocean Journey Cafe is the end stop of SeaLife Aquarium at Legoland. Once you finish your tour of the aquarium, the exit leads you to the Ocean Journey Cafe where, for amusement park standards, the food is priced quite reasonably and offered at a surprisingly good quality. There is a freshly made macaroni bar, a sliders bar, a grilled sandwich stall, a freshly made salads bar, along with many options of packaged snacks from hot chocolate to popcorn, to desserts and pastries. The staff is very nice. The dining area is very clean, and there is also a little play area for kids, strewn with Legos for them to create or add onto existent creations. The prices are more than one may like to pay for, but for amusement park standards, they are very affordable. It's certainly a nice place to take a break between the aquarium and Legoland. 4 stars: For being very clean, very friendly, and surprisingly tasty.

It's not the best food, but it's quite a bit better than most dining options at Legoland. You don't need a ticket to Sealife to eat at Ocean Journey Cafe, so don't be shy about finding this place. It's arranged in stations, where they focus on making just 1 or 2 things. Everything seems made-to-order, so you'll have to wait 5-10 mins at each station for your food. The best strategy is to split up & order, if possible. The sliders are actually really good. Probably the best part of the meal. Once they are cooked, you can add lettuce & tomato from a small bowl to the left. Mrs. Cs caprese sandwich had pesto, fresh mozzarella & tomato. I wish it could have been just slightly heated or served lightly grilled like a panini, but it was still good. They have all kinds of ice cream, bottled drinks, fountain drinks & chocolate bars that run about $6 per bar. Did that seem like a lot to you, too? They also have these smaller versions of the chocolate bars for about $1,50, so that's much more reasonable. The other thing about Ocean Journey Cafe is that since it's so hidden, there's are fewer people eating there & therefore the seating is quite a bit less crowded. Definitely skip Castle Burgers & try Ocean Journey Cafe instead.

Excellent food but limited selection - sandwiches, sliders, salad, Mac and cheese - that is pretty much it. Sliders and Mac are great.

First impression even before ordering a veg breakfast scramble at the front counter: the peeps who are employed here love (not like) working here. Miles of smiles and genuine engagement with customers is not something you can teach so it says everything about the owners that they love their staff and hire those that match their vibe. And that vibe is infectious and inspiring in a world where most seldom if ever look up from their phones. Ordering was a breeze, service was upbeat and the extra crisp I asked for on the breakfast potatoes was a crunchy delight. Great menu covering all day food cravings from omelettes, pancakes, fish tacos, burgers and inventive coffee choices and fresh pastries were on display and inviting. Floor to ceiling windows, cool light 'n breezy tunes, indoor and outdoor seating equally easy on the eyes and ears. I live in Carlsbad so it's an easy commute but I would drive from Alpine or the border to savor a moment or two of pure gratitude for this amount of happiness and love served on a white dinner plate. You thank you Cafe Topes. Consider me a regular.

This place gets packed but don't let that scare you off from how quick and efficient the food comes out and how well this place works. The workers are all so sweet and friendly and the fact that they go above and beyond for their furry friends is even sweeter. The food for starters since I'm Gluten Free, is a huge hit. From GF pancakes to bread options and sometimes pastries, It's a hit for me everytime. The coffees and the occasional mimosa are also a great compliment for the food. And if you're lucky enough to get your hands on a cinnamon roll, don't hesitate. Cafe Topes is my go to place at the moment!!

Entering: Never greeted let alone not acknowledged until it became barely. As someone who has worked all types of jobs, going as far back as when I was a teen myself - this is important. The two youngest ladies, at the register, were deep in their gossip that I doubt they noticed we walked in; only customers. I tried to get their attention but to no avail until I walked over and stood in front on them where their conversation had to be cut short. One of the young girls look a smidgen annoyed while the other was trying to rush to get my order. Quality of goods: I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, to share later with my girls and orders sometime raspberry for my teen son that he could enjoy later on break. The cookie was huge, yes, but nothing that beats the moist and chewy cookies I make myself at home, which I can't currently do since my kitchen is beinf remodeled. I asked my son on his bougie donut, later in the day, and he did the so-so hand and gave it an ok and dry. At end: we will stick to SK for service and quality.

What we ended up getting was parboiled meats that didn't even have a hint of being on the grill and it only had any flavor because I dipped every bite in salsa. Also the atmosphere of the food hall was chaotic and noisy with kids running all over the place. Seating was first come first serve and the place was packed so we had to circle around a couple of times before finding a table that was just vacated. The one positive was the people working the hall and clearing the tables were helpful and friendly. Honestly, do yourself a favor and skip this place and go further south on Paseo Norte Rd to the Green Dragon Tavern just on the other side of Palomar Airport Rd. The food was so much better and the atmosphere of the place was so relaxing and made the entire dining experience so pleasant.
