Located in Kalihi, it's in a split unit with a smoke shop (left side). This is a Hong Kong favorite- I ventured out here solely to satisfy my craving. The total cost for one bubble waffle runs around $7-8. It's not small- you could eat one by yourself but calorically it's probably better to share. You can customize everything to the flavor of your waffle to type of ice cream (they have a special flavor of the day) to the toppings. Even though the line is pretty short, there is a pretty long wait time as they hand make your creation and the waffles are made fresh. There's a paper to fill out at the front of the line where you circle the flavor waffle you want, type of ice cream and type of toppings. The people in front of us must have been there before as they got fresh strawberries, but I didn't see it on the menu. So seems there's a way to get other specials, you may just have to ask (or perhaps it was on a wall somewhere that I didn't look). One waffle with ice cream and about 2-3 toppings was about $7-8 I think. I did get an extra waffle only, which was good on it's own. You have to eat it fast as the waffle is best warm and crunchy! Parking is ample and free. This place is small with about 4 tiny round tables. Our party of 7 basically filled ¾ of the space. The wall's paint and décor are screaming "INSTAGRAM backdrop". It's about $8 for a bubble/waffle cone with ice cream and the choice of flavored ice cream and a few toppings. Any additional toppings will cost you. This dessert is perfect to share. They have a station set up with cleans pens and a cup for used pens and you fill out a basic and easy to follow order sheet to note what flavor waffle/ice cream/and toppings you would like. You pay also at this station then about 5 mins later you receive your creation! What set this apart from others is the options, you can really make it however you like, and the waffle!! I was actually surprised at the efficiency of the workers. Although the wait is about 5 minutes for each cone they were able to keep up with the orders. For those of you who know me, I have a major sweet tooth and always have room for dessert! Yesterday was no exception. After late lunch, I headed over to this new establishment. Got there around 4p on a Sunday. All four tables inside were full. A few people ahead of us in line. Wait time was about 15 minutes. Step 1: select your waffle (vanilla, chocolate or matcha). Step 2: select your ice cream flavor (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry or the special of the day). Since we went later during the day, there was none. Step 3: select 2 toppings (oreo, M&Ms, kitkat, almond chip, chocolate chip, marshmallow, pocky stick, fruity pebbles, rainbow sprinkles). Other toppings that will cost extra are mini macaron, twix, ferrero rocher and chocolate chip cookie. To add more toppings, they cost an extra $0.25 each. Step 4: select your syrup (whipped cream, chocolate, caramel or strawberry). Bubble waffles are made to order. Best to eat within the first 10 minutes, while the bubble waffle is still warm and fresh. Seeing pictures on IG I decided to grab one since I happened to be in town. I found it a bit funny that the name puff and stuff could actually fit the name of the bubble puff store as well. Anyways, it's right by Kamehameha Bakery in City Square Shopping Center. The store has about four little tables with stools so space can be a little limited but when it's not super busy it shouldn't be a problem to find a spot to eat your puffs. Once you enter they have a menu on the wall but you order by filling out a form which allows you to pick your flavor of egg puff, ice cream flavor, toppings (2 choices), and drizzle. What's nice was they had an special 10% off for a promotion of their pre opening until about Jan 27th. I ordered the matcha egg puff with vanilla ice cream. The toppings I chose was fruity pebbles and pocky with chocolate drizzle. They make their puffs to order so it's about 8-10 min for them to cook the egg puffs. The puff was warm and crispy, I just wish the puff had a little more matcha flavor. They topped it with a good amount of ice cream. I also liked the fact for the pocky topping they put a strawberry and chocolate pocky stick as opposed to a single flavor. Overall it's a nice stop for desserts with friends or family especially since it's also surrounded by boba places and a bakery so everyone has options.
