We ended up getting their kalbi loco moco and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes to share. The kalbi loco moco definitely hit the spot. The rice portions were generous, however skimped on the kalbi meat. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy and was topped with a savory gravy. The pancakes were fluffy and was almost the size of the plate it was served on. Price for the pancakes were reasonable at $10.95. At $17.95, the kalbi loco moco was a little bit expensive for the amount of beef that came with the plate. Service was friendly and fast. The seating area reminds me of an old school diner. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've last been here. I wasn't too happy the last time I was here, lol. We got the corned beef hash omelette $17.25, three piece honey butter chicken and waffles $18.95 and a side of pancakes $2. Their pancakes are light and fluffy. The waffles weren't crispy as they were drenched in honey sauce. The three pieces of chicken thighs were huge. I have no idea where they get their chicken pieces from. I ate one piece of chicken and a quarter of the waffles and was stuffed. I took everything else home. The omelette was also good, but we couldn't finish that either. I tried ordering a bread bowl through the app, but it was not listed as an option. I called the restaurant to see if there was any way to add the bread bowl to my order since it wasn't available in the app. The manager who answered she was extremely rude and immediately treated me like I was lying instead of simply trying to help. Her only suggestion was for me to purchase an entirely separate bowl for $15 after I had already spent $17 on my order. At that point I just told her never mind. When my order arrived, the bag had no spoon, napkins, or utensils at all. I called back to ask about it and the manager told me it was not her responsibility to pack a spoon and that it was the DoorDash driver's job. That makes absolutely no sense. Orders are usually sealed before the driver picks them up, so how exactly would a driver open the bag to add utensils? To top it off, the manager told me to call back when I have a better attitude, even though I was simply asking reasonable questions about my order. We decided to try this place for breakfast and it was an amazing experience! From the delicious food to the great staff this place was fantastic. We ordered the country breakfast which came with biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage, and the chicken and waffles, plus a side of fried rice. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was so savory which paired well with the buttermilk biscuits, then adding in the over easy eggs and sausage made it that much better; a true classic. The chicken and waffles came with two giant pieces of chicken thighs fried placed on a crispy waffle. The chicken it self had a crispy outer layer and a juicy inside, mixing in a bite of the crispy waffle and sweet syrup gives this plate a super satisfying taste. The fried rice was great and went well with everything we ordered. The staff was super nice and answered any questions we had about the menu, the food came out really quick, they took our plates after we finished eating, and always checked on us to see if we needed anything else! I love cafe/diner style restaurants and pancake and waffles fits the bill, it's so cozy and clean inside and gives you that nostalgic feeling of eating in a small town diner. It was fairly quiet around 10:30ish when we walked in. I ordered Vinha D' Alhos. It's a Portuguese dish that is so similar to an adobo except there's no sauce. It's marinated and fried. I've never had the authentic version but this is yummm and better than Koa Pancake House. He ordered the Fried Rice Special with Scrambled Eggs + Portuguese Sausage. The fried rice is packed with flavors. I like that they didn't put too much oil! It's perfectly seasoned and mixed well. We also got the Buttermilk Pancakes Short Stack. Their pancakes are fluffy and soft. It's sooo good! I actually want more as I wrote this review ;) There's lots of free parking on the lot and if need to, you can also find street parking. The red tinge to the syrup was blood! I immediately lost my appetite. These establishments need to be careful when cooking poultry. Poultry should never be served rare or raw in the middle. We were buying donuts in the same plaza and were starving, so we gave this spot a try. We ordered a few things to share amongst the group. The chicken katsu was crispy, but also slightly burnt. This place was hard to review and let me explain why. I wanted to try this place ever since I saw someone on TikTok had posted themselves enjoying an omelete. When I asked for a napkin she goes well she has two, pointing at my friend. She then proceeds to push the utensils off of the napkins and take one of the napkins and pushes it over to me. That was really super rude in my book. Yes we are sitting together however to reach over and take someone else's napkin and push it toward me was like.......gross beyond words. My friend was thinking, I'm having fried chicken I really am going to need that other napkin. My friend got up and went and got napkins from the counter next to the water.
