    Shrimp salad

I'm on a limited diet at the moment and this shrimp salad was so good! Great flavored shrimp and the tomatoes were on point! A little ranch and hot mustard for the dressing and I'm a happy camper. Could have used a few more toppings, but all in all I'll get this again. Our waitress was so nice also!

This is on my desk...but it won't let me post a review

Horrible food! Don't waste your money eating here. This it's unrecognizable as Chinese food! Bland and flavorless.

We never get just one order.. we always leave with an extra batch to eat later. They have a little bit of a sweeter cream cheese filling that I haven't been able to find anything like anywhere else.. it's very unique. The new China Cafe Express is honestly amazing. The food is just as good as ever. The service is amazing still, same sweet waitresses as the old location.. food is still well priced. Did not feel like express at all as we sat at a nice table. The restaurant was very clean. Lek has been there since I was a kid, she's always been so kind to my family everytime we've been in as well as the very sweet other waitress who we've seen often too!! Some suggestions from my husband and kids after eating there tonight: Mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp, number 4 dinner combo, definitely crab puffs & hot and sour soup.

I ordered a dish that included sweet and sour pork, chicken chop suey and fried shrimp. The sweet and sour pork was delicious, a nice batter, not too thick with tasty tender pork. Unfortunately, the chop suey was mostly all chopped celery, with only tiny specks of chicken, all smaller than a pea. It was still tasty, but seriously lacked the meat and other ingredients that are normally expected in chop suey. The fried shrimp was thin, short and way overcooked, and the batter was five times thicker than the actual shrimp itself; not good at all. Lemon chicken was tender and delicious with excellent sauce. The egg rolls were a bit different with thicker batter than expected, but still tasty. The sliced pork was fairly juicy and tasted good. The fried rice was a little dry, making it a bit difficult for me to fully enjoy. We received good service by friendly servers throughout our entire meal. Sorry about the lack of photos, but we were really hungry when we first came in and attacked the food right away. I just wish it was better!

Regardless, their Chin-Amer fare is absolutely fantastic, and we were RVing close by, so this was the (her) choice. One look at their fried proteins will tell the tale. Those were hand-made on the spot, Cochise. Yang Tze Pork had great char sui flavor, and sides were robust and delicious. We ordered from their 'family style' menu, and for $17 per, it was a heckuva lot of food. Wifey kept trying to order some other items, and I had to tell her we were already gonna get pounded with the amount of food we had comin'. It was Saturday and the lunch buffet was $10.95. The buffet had only six items, which made me snicker. But I'm eating Keto style, so only took 3 items... teriyaki chicken, mixed vegetables, and deep fried chicken meatballs. Oh my God, was I surprised with the flavor of this pairing. We've all had Chicken Teriyaki, right? (...char-grilled chicken strips on steamed rice with sauce-outa-the-squirt-bottle. Right?). Well forget that! This was chicken sauteed in a mild-sweet-soy (full of meat drippings, like gravy! It was fabulous! Man, I'm going home to re-engineer that recipe! I love it when you discover some new food-approach that no-one's doing anywhere. This was that moment. And with the medley of steamed vegetables and iced tea...wow, just wow! To the guy from "Nordakota" er "Sowdakota", what are you thinkin?!?! The food at Mei-Ling is delicious, and apparently everyone in town thinks so too! Look at the pictures!
