Food service and ambiance are 10/10. It's the same as any Mongolian place but with the great price.. service is okay. Ambiance is okay with good variety of toppings. I wish they would add pineapples and rice noodles. And more sauce choices read more

This is a great place to eat. The staff was amazing anticipating my every request. The food was well cooked and this is often my biggest complaint about Mongolian BBQ. Vegetables and meat were fresh and the sauces were flavorful and well balanced. They also give rice with each meal and that means you need less of a bowl to make a great meal. If you like Mongolian grill or you just want to try something new that has flavors that stand out or you want to customize food just to your liking Hong's is the place for you. read more

When you go to Hongs Mongolian, it's guaranteed your food will be absolutely amazing! You get to see the chefs cook the food right in front of you too! And the service is incredible, the whole inside of the building is really cool and the ingredients are super fresh! read more

I hadn't been here in a while but it was crazy busy when we went. There was a line out the door. I like that they've added more options now such as like a kielbasa sausage to add to your bowl. It was really good! Will definitely be going back. read more

What is it about Mongolian BBQ that appeals to me? Maybe it's because I don't have any close by. Anyway, I always seem to seek these places out when I'm traveling. Also it's because I get to pick out everything from meats, to vegetables, to sauces. When I make a visit to Tri-Cities, I tend to swing by Hong's at least once. I didn't expect much, it's self-serve as most Mongolian BBQ places are. With the pandemic, a few things have changed, now they offer disposable gloves for getting your food choices, I appreciate that. And their choices are pretty typical, meats (beef, chicken, pork, pollock...), vegetables span the gamut (spinach, broccoli, zucchini...), noodles, etc... They have a sauce guideline at the end of the bar or you can customize it as you please. The chefs will ask you if you want mongo sauce - just say yes, it's a housemade mix that adds a bunch of flavor to your creation. read more

Good solid Mongolian grill. Great friendly service and reasonable prices. We will be back!

Very pricey Food was fresh Bring $$$$$$ If You must have Mongolian then give it a try read more

We have eaten there quite a few times, but this last time it was entirely to salty unhealthy salty. They must of changed the way they make there sauces it didn't taste like it use to. If you have high blood pressure or kidney disease I wouldn't eat there read more

Great food Amazing staff Very clean Affordable I will be coming back and recommending to friends and family read more

Have ate here off and on, but this last time (3/12) not very good. Will look for another place to try.

Pretty much the same as it was years ago. Different bowls for different prices is fair but when you fill your bowl and it comes back less than half full for $15? Yeah No thanks! All you can eat is the only value option here This time I wasn't even finished and the lady was in a hurry to make me pay..... jeez lemme eat my tiny bowl of fresh goodness! Flavor wise: it's as good as you make it. The over simplistic sauce options are still a deterrent for me. Only Mongolian left in the TCs so make sure you go big and only go hungry!! Go eat at a really Mongolian place: Chang's has several locations in the Portland area and you get free ice cream too! read more

Hong's Mongolian - Luckily the rice is free but they wanted to upcharge me for noodles in my bowl. Very unimpressed with this establishment - Mongolian Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

Hong's Mongolian - Medium Bowl (32oz) comes with small white rice. - Mongolian Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

This place was really great!! The food was good, the place was pretty clean, and the service was good too. I originally had this at 4 starts because it's not a 5 star Restaurant but when I started writing my review there isn't anything negative to say about them. No alcohol but they have fun "mocktails" that were yummy. read more

I love their food!! And the waitresses are always so nice! We go here all the time and I've never had a bad experience. read more

Hong's Mongolian - a bowl of noodles and chopsticks - Mongolian Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

Went here for the first time today for take out and we were very pleased. You choose a bowl size and fill it with veggies and meat. Then you put a huge pile of noodles and top it with different kinds of sauces. It was pretty good but don't skimp on the sauces. My husband added more sauce than me and it made a difference. The only downside is it takes awhile for the guys to cook it for you. If there is a line, you will be waiting awhile. So, don't go when you are in a hurry. But, I think it was worth waiting for. Will definitely be back. read more

Love their food! Spice level is sometimes inconsistent so pay attention and let the chef's know right away if you think they've added spice to a meal that doesn't want any (my daughter got a flaming hot bowl when I said no spice, and she can't handle heat). read more

Excellent, get the extra hot!! Great service. Recommend that the grill is not cleaned before cooking, adds extra flavoring!!

I've been coming here for over 20 years now, and have never had an unpleasant experience. The smell of fresh Mongolian when you walk through the door never gets old. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making sure your food and drinks are satisfactory. The food itself is delicious and so filling! The cooks do a great job making sure you get the sauce and spice level you want. I'll continue supporting Hong's Mongolian as long as they remain in business. They will always be one of my preferred restaurants in Tri-Cities! read more

would give it zero if I could costs nothing for cooks to add hot sauce yet charge $6 to add it myself just needed one spoon full.. only choice is a jar for $6 .. greedy much!? read more

If you like quality ingredients and great staff, you'll love it here! This is my go to for my family. Not big and flashy but the soup is always great and the ingredients for the Mongolian are top quality! read more

Pretty good. Better than California, that is for sure. The place is clean, authentic, and has a good proportion, you can take home whatever food you can not finish. You also receive a fortune cookie afterward! I'm not sure why my find put down the family name, but it had to do with their church. Maybe they give a percentage back to the church :) By the way, they do not freeze and roll any of their meat, so you do not have to push down the meat. read more

Tasty, fresh and great service. The cooks are remarkable. A family favorite restaurant, been coming here for 22 years. read more

Hong's Mongolian - Mongolian with a few scoops hot sauce. - Mongolian Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

I wrote a negative reivew years ago and I have since continued to visit Hong's. I felt it only proper to address my earlier review. We do come here - it has been a family staple and I am happy to be returning. They have the best Mongolian Grill in all of Tri Cities. Don't bother going elsewhere. Same owner, and food is always fresh. I recommend anyone try this mongolian grill. read more

This is the go to takeout spot for my wife and I, everything is always perfectly cooked and they have great customer service.

My Chinese and Vietnamese exchange students love this place! LOVE it. They have now been here twice in one week. Usually they aren't very expressive when it comes to food, but this is the exception. In fact, the Vietnamese boy, who is not a big eater, ordered the large bowl so he could take some home...and wound up eating all of it! The selection is great, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is both attentive and friendly. read more

Not a fan of the noodles, but the food was good. The prices are fair. Nothing special but if you're in the mood, its suitable.

Mariela, Mariela, Mariela! What a lovely person and representative of this establishment! We were just leaving church and my family was visiting from Kansas. She made us all feel so super welcome and I cannot thank her enough! Mariela is a blessing to our day! read more

The best Mongolian in Tri-Cities! Service is always attentive, food is fresh, and the soup always hits the spot!

This has always been one of my favorite places to eat in the TC. Honestly, the way the food tastes is mostly due to you since you pick what vegetables, what meats, if you want noodles or not and what and how much sauce you want on your bowl. Then, they cook it right in front of you on a huge communal stove. The service has always been great. There has been a waitress that has worked there for years that always remembers me (and I'm only in TC a few times a year). I've tried several other Mongolian places and they have all been disappointing. I always come back to this one and make sure when I'm in the area that I have to stop by and eat here. read more

Now called Hong's.... Fun experience to make your own bowl of food. Prices kinda high for pre-cooked frozen meat UPDATE..... Oh you pay for this food the next day.... I've been visiting Hua's Mongolian Buffet since they opened and it remains a favorite among my wife and I and a lot of our friends. The atmosphere is only average, but it's clean and the food is awesome!!! I've visited a lot of Mongolian-style restaurants and few even compare to Hua's! At Hua's you get way more food than any other Mongolian buffet I've been too and the service is ALWAYS great!!! I disagree with the reviewer who complained of everything being sticky or small portions. That's a weird thing to say. The staff always seems to work very hard to keep surfaces wiped down and clean. The chefs are always cleaning their area. The food also has NEVER tasted funny to me. It's normal for surfaces to get a little "sticky" on the buffet line in any restaurant like this, especially when you have a lot of people moving down the line and always spilling stuff. As I said though, staff does a great job of keeping things very clean overall and the buffet items are always properly iced and sanitary. The bathrooms are a little "old" looking, but they are clean and sanitary. We've been going for years and will continue to go for years I'm sure. It is, by far, one of the best places to eat in town. I love the soup too, even though it's not my wife's favorite. Great place!!! read more

I was invited by friend to eat at this place. The selection was huge and was impressed. So many to choose. I got myself a small bowl and they upgraded me to a large. My large bowl was empty as it didn't fill. As the waitress charges by the size of the bowl you have. A lot of shady acts in this restaurant. We went on a Tuesday non lunch hours so we were the only group there with a couple in the restaurant. The customer service is really bad. Now for the food, it was so bland. I added meat, vegetables and sauce. No matter what I added it taste bland that is was flavorless. I tried there special sauce mix the offers when they are grilling. None of us finished our food and we all noticed how bland it was. All of us got different ingredients in our dishes and yet same result. I will not go here ever again. read more

I'm not an avid Mongolian food eater but this place seemed pretty good. The staff was extremely nice and extremely attentative. I think the server girl came by and asked me if I was ok about every 30 seconds. I'd rather have too much service than too little though, so it was ok with me. The interior of this place reminds me of a shoddy buffet style place. I think this place needs a slight remodel inside. The food was great and priced well. I wouldn't necessarily go on a first date here, but I wouldn't mind taking a familiar guest for lunch or something. read more
