Great food, especially the Mongolian beef dish. Very friendly staff and attentive. We always ask for extra of the crunchy noodle things and they bring them with no problem. read more

Mandarin House never fails to have the best food. Love the hot and sour soup. I've never had a dish I didn't like.

They have the best Mongolian Beef that I've ever eaten. My family and I have enjoyed their delicious food for years. Nice people and very reasonable prices. read more

Our first dining experience was amazing! Sami, the waitress, was so quick & took care of all our food needs. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. Highly recommend this dining experience! read more

Always an agreeable time. Pleasant staff wonderful food we've enjoyed the place since it was run by Ruth and Bruce.

this was actually the backup plan for dinner Friday but the primary target was a little too sketchy when we pulled up so we just kept moving along which worked out pretty well because we wound up here. Nice little nondescript building with Chinese characters on some blocks by the front door. we got seated in the main dining room (another room is off to the side) got menus and requested pot stickers and hot tea because, well, you know... chinese. dumplings are standard fare and always a winner: fried up golden brown with traditional dumpling fillings with a dish of juice on the side. finished these up just in time for the arrival of lean strips of seasoned beefs and sliced scallion on a pile of warm and crispy rice noodles; a nice contrast of taste and textures. zippy but not too zippy and goes well with tea :-) also quite pleased with the bowl of white rice that came with my Mongolian Beef; a bit moister than is typical of chinese, very soft and eatable with a dose of soy sauce and a spoon. read more

Growing up in Richland, Mandarin House has always been a go to spot for a delicious lunch! Now that I live out of state, every time I come in town Mandarin House is a MUST HAVE before leaving!! My favorite dish is the Mongolian Beef with fried rice and egg drop soup! So delicious!!!! read more

Lunch special is$13.90, $16.90 with hot tea. Service is friendly and fast. Mongolian beef has good but not real spicy. Fried rice is basic.

Food was gross establishment smelled old flooring told. Staff was rude place had a stale smell to it.

The food (Twice cooked pork and Garlic Chicken) was bland and contained almost no meat, only onion and cabbage. Two entrees came with a small container of rice, maybe 1.5 cups. The egg rolls were greasy, and the hot & sour soup was not spicy at all. This was not the Mandarin House I've been used too. It was not worth the$44 (+$7 tip even though it was take out) I won't be back to Mardarin House any time soon. This makes me sad. I've had so many great meals here in the past. read more

Delicious Chinese food! They are very friendly and the service is fast. The inside looks better than the outside.

I had the crispy tofu and beef with black mushrooms. It was good, great service, and no issue accommodating my service dog. Thank you read more

On my way back to Seattle after work I stopped to eat at this Richland restaurant, outside and inside the place is dated but clean, the hostess was prompt to provide a seat and take my order. I had the twice cooked pork lunch special, it comes with soup and I choose egg drop soup with it. I finished the soup and of the pork plate I left the green peppers, I just can't eat green peppers. I was expecting the "pow" of the sauce on the twice cooked pork but it wasn't there. The price alone is a 5 stars, $14.66 including tax and a can of soda. That is a good lunch!!!! I'll be back read more

Old school decor. Mongolian Beef is sweet/spicy and delicious. Hot and sour soup is delicious also. Best sticky rice I've had since I was stationed in South Korea in 86/87. Definitely not going anywhere else after I found them:) read more

Great local joint! I forgot to take my lunch to work so I was left scrambling for a place that would get me squared away within an hour. I found this place and was pleased to find that they allowed their lunch specials to be taken out. So I called in my order and twenty minutes later, I was back in my office with my food. Woot woot. I got the mandarin beef, the egg noodle soup, and the fried rice as my options. The special also came with an egg roll. The portion size was perfect such that I finished all of it and wasn't too full. The food was good. The fried rice wasn't salty, thank goodness, and the beef was tender and tasty. It was supposed to be spicy, but I forgot that until after my meal--it wasn't spicy at all. It was full of flavor though, which made it a bit salty. Use the rice and the soup as a buffer! Come check it out if you haven't already! read more

Mandarin House - Mandarin beef - Chinese Near Me - Richland, Washington

I was very hopeful that I found a really good Chinese food place. Not yet. They are super friendly and accommodating. Made changes to dishes for me with a little extra charge. House chow mein with soft pan fried noodle was mediocre. I asked for no shrimp and extra veggies but there wasn't but maybe 4 small pieces of chicken and beef and nothing else but noodles and the veggies I asked for extra. The almond chicken was fried pretty good. Too bad the almond sauce was actually chicken gravy which was strange. I gave the egg tools to the girl running the front desk at the hotel so I can't comment on them. Pretty sure I am still looking for a solid place for Chinese food. read more

The Mongolian beef here is so delicious. I've been going here for probably almost 20 years and the food is so consistently great every time. I've tried Mongolian beef at different restaurants and nowhere compares to here. The service is always incredible as well. read more

On March 17, 2023 at 4:15 we ordered the gourmet dinner for 2+ the deep fried shrimp. The food was fresh and very good. The restaurant was clean. Service was quick, very small place. read more

Food, OUTSTANDING. Ordered the vegetable chow mein, Kung pao chicken & sweet and sour pork. Each dish was absolutely delicious. Service, the owner was so sweet and even with a full restaurant there was no wait on drinks and hardly a wait on food. Ambiance, I've always loved this place. I feel at home when we visit. read more

What a sad, sad meal! To begin with, for $35 for 2 people we recieved 2 slices of barbecue pork each, and 1 tiny piece of chicken in foil; about the size of a single wonton! Even though these were not the main part of the meal, I felt they were very skimpy! The fried rice was lumpy, and stuck together in clumps. The kung pow chicken was just ok, as well as the beef with mixed vegetables. The spicy hot soup was not good at all! I wouldn't waste your money! It's unfortunate! read more

Amazing food been coming for years, lunch meal deal is an awesome price and the best dish is the Mongolian beef.

The food was great, Service too was also great, even though it was made for take out. The restaurant itself was packed which is always a good sign in my opinion! The look and feel of the building was very inviting nothing to extravagant. I recommend Mandarin House to anyone looking for good Chinese/Japanese food! read more

This is a family favorite and I almost don't want to recommend because I don't want everyone going there all the time and then I'll have to wait longer. Get the Mongolian beef, Orange chicken or tofu just about anything on the menu tastes fantastic and you don't have to wait forever. Beyond that the customer service is A+ all the time.. friendly and welcoming. read more

Been going here for 30 years. Always incredibly consistent. The Mongolian beef with hot and sour soup is the best!

Edit: Another great meal at Mandarin House! This is very much like a good Chinese restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area and Richland is lucky to have it. I had the twice cooked pork lunch special. Normally, at other restaurants the meat is BBQ pork, however here it was thick sliced pork belly. The flavor was good. I like the style of egg roll that came with it. My girlfriend (a light eater) gave me her soup, egg roll, half of her custom beef dish, some of her white rice and I finished it all along with my own lunch special. Another friendly, pleasant dining experience. Original: The food at the Mandarin House would compare well with a Chinese restaurant in the Bay area, which is a high bar. The green bean with beef had sauce with good flavor and the beans were perfectly done. The mandarin beef was good with good flavor. Complementing the main dishes was white rice which was nicely done. Overall, a friendly pleasant dining experience. read more

Mandarin House - Worst food ever, we complain about the dirty bathroom, none of us really eat it but they charge us anyway! - Chinese Near Me - Richland, Washington

Years and years ago when I lived in Richland, I loved coming here for lunch. Usually had the almond fried chicken. Sometimes I ordered the pu-pu platter. But recently I had dinner there and was surprised how greasy and unflavorable their dishes had become. Or was it just me getting older and wiser? read more

If negative was possible.. I'm not sure it was real meat it was so odd in texture, shape and color

The only positive thing I can say is our host/waitress was friendly. I'm wondering if what keeps them in business is that the lunch menu is a decent amount of food for $8.99 +tax. My friend and I both took one bite of our food, looked at each other and said, "This is terrible." read more

Thought I would try a different place for once, and solely wish I had not. Ordered a huge family dinner, almost $100. Not good at all, with the exception of the soup and the shrimp with snow peas, every other dish appeared to be made from old ingredients or left over from lunch. Chow Mein was especially terrible, absolutely the worst excuse for Chinese food, a box of mushy tasteless noodles. Every other dish was all but tasteless, never ever going back! read more

Poo Poo tray, Mongolian beef, pork fried rice & garlic chicken w/ veggies. Excellent meal every time.

This is a fabulous restaurant. Clean and customer service friendly. Food is delivered expediently. We've eaten at many chinese restaurants throughout the U.S. and this is the best all around. The hot & sour soup is great. The spring rolls fresh & crispy. Our 4 favorites: 1)Kung Pao Chicken 2)Mandarin Beef 3)Black Pepper Chicken 4)Sweet & Sour Pork. They will also customize the heat to your taste. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Definitely nothing like the Chinese food you get in Chinatown in San Francisco. At all! The fact that I drove past it twice thinking it was a dive bar was my first clue. Unfortunately it feels (and looks) dirty and outdated as soon as you walk in. I ordered the lunch special, Mongolian beef, fried rice and egg drop soup. The Mongolian beef was OK, not really like Mongolian beef I've ever had. The fried rice was terrible. It was so over cooked just mushy and clumpy. Egg roll was meh. But so far, the worst place I've tried in the Tri-Cities. read more

I overheard people raving about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Meh...nothing impressive. I don't know where people around here get their impression of what good Asian food is. The food here is OK, cheap, good portion size but nothing at all unique. I got the Kung Pao and it was labeled as spicy. I can't imagine what mild is like. Very little flavor and absolutely zero heat. Service was very fast for lunch and the portion size is good, just not impressed with the food. read more

Pretty good food so far, NOT San Francisco good though, not by a long shot. The staff is attentive and nice. Food comes out in the time I would expect being made to order verse already staged prepped food. The Mongolian Beef is tasty and has been consistant for us. The other dishes are OK, better food here than most Chinese places in the area. I asked for a a dish to be a little more spicy and they accomodated that. The pricing for each dish is a dollar more than what I feel is a fair price for the quality and ingredients. It stops me from ordering certain dishes and more in my order. They use a lot of cheap filler vegitables (celery and carrots) to make a dish seem larger. The fried rice is, just OK and no one complained about sharing at the table or when someone ate the left overs the next day. Typical TC restaurant that is raved about, because the patrons are limited in knowledge and expereinces beyond this area and actual good places to eat. read more

I have to update my review because this has become one of my favorite places in Tri-Cities. It is truly a hidden gem. The food is fantastic, the staff is so friendly, the prices are reasonable.
