This is an intesting stop for a fast, out for dinner experience. One that can fill your belly with however much you can fit in your bowl... and for some people... is a lot. I saw a few people with the bowls overflowing. This place has a buffet of quite a selection of food to choose from; vegetables, meats, noodles, sauces and seasons. You fill the bowl and bring it to the cook. The food gets thrown onto a circular flat top that the cooks walk around as they push the food around the circle until it is cooked. The food is then placed into a fresh bowl and handed back to you to take to your table. While I was there, I was asked by the cook "hot sauce or not hot?" I stated "not hot"; but while eating, I found the food to be a little on the spicy side anyways. I believe that could be due to the grill having hot sauce poured on it for a previous order. That being said, the food was full of flavors and textures that I got to choose as well; so that in itself is pretty great. The waitress was attentive, however, did bring a cup of tap water after I asked for a bottle of water. Which could have just been a misunderstanding. Other than that I thought she was polite and courteous and fairly quick. I really did enjoy the idea of "all you can fit in the bowl and have it cooked in front of you." It was mildly entertaining and unique. As for decor, I would not call this a fancy restaurant; but I can say in confidence that it is one that you will feel full and satisfied when you leave. We went here for the first time a few days ago and our experience was very good! I like how you make your own plate by choosing ingredients, and the food in general was very tasty. The service was also very good, since we were there for the first time we weren't entirely sure what we were supposed to do, and the lady behind the counter helped us and explained everything. We ate the mongolian, it was delicious, but if you are Celiac you should not eat here. Sure most of the ingredients are gluten-free, but there are egg noodles (which are of course made with wheat flour) and as well as some gluten-containing sauces and cross contamination is impossible to avoid as it is a build-your-own bowl. There were literally egg noodles soaking in the dish of rice noodles, and we watched other customers ladle the (nominally GF) sauces onto their dishes, touching the ladle to the egg noodles. It's unavoidable. The young staffers did their best once we explained what we needed but they did not really get it. I can eat gluten and quite enjoyed my meal; fresh, tasty, customized. It was good, Mongolian you can never go wrong. Pho is not traditional AT ALL. Plus the two gals up front who helped me, didn't understand me or speak English AND the cook who cooked my Mongolian, didn't understand me either. It's a freaking Asian restaurant and everyone who worked there, that I dealt with, spoke Spanish! I asked her if they had meatballs, because that's traditional in pho, she had no idea what I was talking about or what the hell a meatball was. I am a Pho fanatic and my rule of thumb is this: If the owners are Lao or Vietnamese, the chance of getting the flavor you want and are used to go up significantly. If they're not, good luck. This establishment is testament to that. Pros: - The service is friendly. Or at least the woman at the front was. - MASSIVE portion and they don't skimp on the meat. Had enough for lunch, then two bowls for later. Cons: - The noodle to broth ratio is incorrect. Too many noodles to the point that when I cooked the leftovers on the stove top, it was basically all noodles and meat that I had to keep stirring so it wouldn't burn. - All the vegetables are served raw and in teeny pieces. This is different from traditional pho, where the onions are cooked in the broth in small strips. - Broth is weak. It tastes okay but nowhere near as strong and authentic as Pho Lao Laan Xang, Pho Lotus and Lao Kitchen (my three favorites in the Tri). read more

Me and my sister went here to try their noodles even though we usu go to a different one. The service was good, friendly staff. I asked for medium spice when they were cooking my food and I got quite literally the most spicy food I have ever eaten, and Im a person who typically loves all things spicy. I asked for iced tea, it was really bitter and plain so I asked for sprite and it had a strange unusual chemical taste, definitely not sprite. I could barely eat my noodles I was dying. I saved the rest of my noodles in a box, and 3 hour's later my stomach started making insanely loud noises. I gave most of my noodles to my brother and he ate them, leaving a few for me. Heres where it gets bad, I ate the last few pieces of food in the box and tasted something hard and pea sized INSANLEY spicy, I coughed and it went up my nose causing searing pain I didn't even real at first that It was still there I coughed really hard and it shot down surprising me and I inhaled it into my lung, again causing horrible searing pain, I coughed again and finally got rid of the mysterious peice of hell. At this point im tramitized and I have tears from spice pouring down my face, My nose and chest hurt for 30 minutes after and I still have no idea what the little thing I in was. Cant cook rice. Stopped by to see what this place is about for lunch. Mongolian is great. Can't mess this up. The one bad thing for my first expression eating here was, I asked for a side of rice for my food. I got the rice and man. The rice was horrible. I can't believe someone can't cook a simple pot of rice. Either it was old or it has been sitting around or just cheap rice. If it crunches like popcorn that is bad rice. I was super dissapointed in the Pho here. I asked for beef and rather than coming raw, it was cooked. The broth lacked flavor on it's own and the hoisin/sriracha did not help. The noodles were too soggy and there were some extra fixings that I think should have been cooked in the broth. I would not eat this again. read more

Possibly my favorite thing about this place is its proximity to my office, just because I truly am that lazy. I also admit that it's sort of futile to review a place where the result depends so completely on your own ability to mix ingredients and sauces. But, I'll base it solely on possibility. As far as variety of ingredients goes, this place is pretty standard...which is to say that there could be more. I rarely see a Mongolian BBQ that has anything exotic, and they generally leave me looking for something a little more. Where they gain points is in the fact that their ingredients are almost always full, clean, and at an appropriate temperature. On top of that, I've never found hair in my bowl here, which has been a pretty common occurrence at such places in my past. There's also a nice variety of sauces for your to play with, or to torture friends (one guy I knew once put 14 ladles of sweet & sour in his bowl...he didn't understand the point, and it was disgusting) Don't go here for service though. Once you're seated and have a drink, that's all you get. But, in a self-serve place, what do you expect? They also have added a Vietnamese menu, but I've never eaten from it because I'm usually in a hurry and just get a bowl to go. read more

So my company has me working out here in Washington, and so due to the freezing weather I felt the need for a bowl of hot PHO. I drove up with a coworker at 6:30pm stoked to have a bowl, and so we walk in... get seated... and the waitress says "go ahead and help yourself". I look around and dont see Pho anywhere... so then i ask "How do I make my own bowl of Pho?" to which the kitchen staff says "We havent served Pho in about 2 years". I was heartbroken. We ended up leaving and going to Yummie Pho off of Clearwater for Pho. Just a suggestion... if you guys stopped serving pho, please remove PHO from your street sign. :) read more

As far as Pho places go, this place is just about average. They are lacking in some of the different varieties that I've come to know and love. That being said, the soup broth was good and the meat was pretty good though not outstanding. Service is kind of slow, by the time the waitress came around to refill our drinks we were already done eating. As the name implies there is also a Mongolian Grill. Though I haven't tried the food, a word of advice, this a place that charges per bowl and it is not all you can eat. Usually I'd say this is a bad thing, however the price per bowl is pretty reasonable and they don't seem to get upset at people for heaping food on. read more

The Mongolian bar had a great selection of items to choose from, however I don't recommend having the chef add any additional teriyaki sauce to your dish when he asks you. (It was overkill). I really thought you couldn't go wrong with a Mongolian grill - you basically make the food yourself! They have a decent amount of choice for your stir fry, but it was ruined by the sheer abundance of teriyaki the cook used on the grill. Our food was swimming in it, and not in a good way. The egg flower soup was under-salted and over-peppered. The "dessert bar" consisted of jello. My husband just said "mcdonalds would've been better." Too bad. We've been looking for a decent place to stop when we pass through Tri-Cities. It won't be here. read more

Haven't been to this location in a couple years, but I could tell very clearly it had switched owners. I'm very disappointed because the changes are significant to me. The noodle is smaller and I feel like it does not absorb the flavor as well as the other noodle did. Also, the soup that you get is very over-peppered. When I told the server, she said it didn't have any pepper, which is a straight up lie as you can see the pepper flakes. You don't have to be a culinary expert to know that it's pepper in the soup. Another disappointment is that they do not have a changing table for children. My daughter had a bad diaper and I had no choice but to use their bench. I cleaned up after myself, but I would have really preferred a better option. After having this destination as a go to place when I'm in town, I will no longer be coming back next time I'm visiting. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and came here with my nephews. The price was good for what they had to offer and the noodles were not dry. The cook was very considerate to not mix my spicy meal with he younger kids meals. I was a little disappointed with the rice - I expected a little more. When asked if I wanted a box I said yes but it took an extended amount of time for the waitress to return. The restaurant was moderately busy but not enough for a waitress to be overwhelmed. All in all the restaurant was clean and the food was good but it took a while to get out when I was easy to leave. read more
